I’m tired of the “it’s not an ‘assault weapon’” rant. Both sides are guilty of worrying more than necessary about terminology… including those who started using the term “modern sporting rifle”… it didn’t work. Now, I think we now sound like we don’t really have a valid argument when we argue over the use of the term “assault weapon”. The term has been coerced. Like the word “gay”, it no longer means what it used to mean. I think we need to get over it and talk about more important issues. Call it whatever you want, I should be able to own it.
