(August 25 - August 31 2023)
Last of August
Donatella apologizes to Raz (and more things under the cut.)
Next scene: Raz ignites Dion with pyrokinesis
"It is not just a little spark. It is a flame; a big roaring flame. I can feel it now ... it is burning, Burning, BURNING. ...Hey, something IS burning around here."
Hearing Dion say the corniest shit imaginable.
Oh hey, and I drew Dion "apologizing" too:
Misha saying thank you. (Misha smiled.)
I know I'm not the first to draw anthro versions of Kitty and Quentin, but here's my take on em.
I wasn't expecting the line when Raz shows her the button to hit me so hard. She's hanging out with some weeds (primarily ones that people only want to get rid of.)
I don't wanna end on a sad note, so I'll let you have the early sketch of the Frazie BLECH drawing (I thought Raz looked funny so I held onto it.)
See you next time
I drew this for my sister's birthday since she likes Gorillaz (especially Noodle.)
A while ago, I was asked about how I do my line art. I screenshot my process to explain it. I'm glad to share my knowledge, and I hope this can inspire you. I want to emphasize that there is no "right" or "wrong" way. This is just how I like to do it.
Anyway, every drawing of mine starts with a rough sketch. My beautiful babies, Crystal and Clem, will be helping me demonstrate.
Some sketches are rougher than others, but I have a lot of experience with drawing Crystal and Clem so it doesn't take much.
Depending on how I want a drawing to look, I may use different pens. The one I am using here is called "Technical Pen" and it is the one I use 90% of the time. I will go around and outline anything I want bolded. The lines here aren't as thick as I usually go, but it's the same concept.
I will decrease the size of the pen and start to fill in some details. I usually tweak it as I go, fixing errors, and smoothing out the lines. In casual drawings like this, I'm very loose about it. There's no science to it, just go with the flow. (AAH INVISIBLE EYES)
Then, I will decrease the size once more and fill in tinier details (pupils, hair, clothing folds, etc.)
With drawings that include writing, I'll use a size like I did in step 3 (not too thin, not too thick.)
Now you can brutalize lines the Terra way.
Of course this isn't the ONLY way and every drawing I do the lines a little differently depending on how I want it to look. Here are some other pens I use:
Technical Pen - This is an all-around pen for me. It's straightfoward and reliable.
Brush 4 - No, really, that's what it's called. This is good when I want to have very thick, bold, textured lines. I sometimes use Pencil 6B for hatching with this if I want it to have a sketchy look.
Inking Pen - I also call it the "Bobby Pen" because I use it frequently when drawing Bobby. It's good for when I want to make a sketchy, rough, unstable-looking drawing. It's also very good if I want the lines to look very sharp. I'm still experimenting with this one.
Pencil Pal - This one is reserved for whenever I make drawings that (somewhat) resemble traditional art. I usually only keep to one width with this one.
And there you have it.
was on a small quentin kick a while ago. he's real chill cool and awesome. i've been sleeping on him.
also drew a plush quentin. it'd be nice to have. wink wink double fine.
HIII YOU'RE COOL AND AWESOME AND STUFF. YOUR ART IS WONDERFUL AND AMAZING
Hi!! Thank you very very much! I love your enthusiasm!
(February 3 - February 28, 2025)
Party people bouncing off the walls.
Special thanks to @ooliecat, @cosmicheartz, and @salempie
One time when my sister was showing me a bunch of Gorillaz music videos, I had a revelation (no disrespect to people who love their blue-haired british men.)
Hey, look. I got an UGLY FACE. Can I join your UGLY CLUB?
Really, I think Clem would detest this holiday. Maybe it wouldn't be so bad if he had Crystal to spend it with.
Lift me up
Special thanks to ooliecat and salempie (who both suggested Alice in Wonderland Elka) and @turquoisegemma
It's all fun and games until the bird craps on your hand.
Absolutely, @greenethorn !
Here is Chevron! She also likes to go by "Chev." She might have a bit of a mean or aloof look to her (Sometimes. She seems pretty happy in that drawing though), but she really isn't mean at all. She is one of Hertz and Caprio's classmates (if you remember them.)
She's used to her peers telling her to "shut up" and to "go away" and that she's "weird." It used to bother her, but not anymore. She knows their frail minds cannot understand her, so there is no use in trying. She knows who she is and she owns it.
She has a very strong interest in the paranormal and "spooky" things. No one wants to hear about this, so she's all alone. That's fine, she has her "ghost friends."
Some of her other interests include collecting rocks, gemstones, sticks, leaves, feathers (molted from her avian classmates), or other meaningless "trash" items, staring menacingly from around the corner, and trying to explore places she isn't supposed to be in.
So when Hertz (a real life demon, just like the ones in her books!) joins the class, she is ecstatic. She's fascinated with her (please don't be weird about it though, they're kids and there is no romance.) She can be overwhelming when she is passionate about something. She can also be a bit oblivious at times.
November 10th happy (non-canon) birthday, Clem
(September 25 - October 1 2023)
Oops! All Benny.
The first one isn't new but an alternate coloration of a previous drawing. The second drawing is kinda off the wall, and I didn't wanna assault you with that first thing.
Anyway, more under the cut. Special thanks to @gadthekulshushain for inspiring me to draw more Benny.
BEAT HIM UNTIL CANDY COMES OUT.
Being called a rat so many times was getting to him ...
Couldn't let myself get away with drawing Benny without Bobby this time.
Bonus sketch time. Here's one I started and quit very early on. Bobby's just >:-B
Very rough scribbly version.
(December 5 - December 19, 2023)
A present from me to you. Open it up and see all the things I've drawn.
In Psychonauts 3, Bobby will be forklift certified.
This is a redraw of one of my earliest drawings of Raz.
DON'T STARE AT ME, NILS.
I know leviation negates the raccoon tail, but I could no longer resist drawing Raz with the tail power-up (SMB3 is my fav.)
Look at me, I'm a SKWIR-ELL.
Rejected sketch. Initially Chloe was holding her arm as if she had been injured. Bobby's threat was also going to be more violent, but y'know, I scrapped it so no need.
Lili :)
Kids talkin' mad shit for being within mop-beating distance.
Something about the top part of Hollis' suit reminding me of a Robot Master.
Simplified chibi-ish Misha, like a Megaman sprite.
Yyyup.
BUT I'M NOT DONE YET. I hit the picture limit, so part 2 will be ... soon.
I'm Terra, and I love to draw fanart of the things I like. I'm trying to be less shy about sharing my art and in general. I hope you enjoy my digital scribbles.
