I should not- for this has happened multiple times in my life this week- have to enter my own conversation about our experience in this world as a caveat, as a partial mention, a "small piece" of a "larger whole to consider". I shouldn't have to cushion it; I shouldn't have to center someone's feelings to make the often hard truth about said experience (and perhaps their own interaction with it!) "acceptable" to hear. I'm already quite gracious as is, by telling you at all.

If you cannot listen to and learn about Blackness, in a space about Blackness, from a Black person, without feeling offended, that is a likely problem with your perspective, not my delivery.

Don't get me wrong- I am capable of being incorrect and misspeaking. I too work everyday to do better. But sometimes, when I don't talk about other things, it's because that's not what I'm talking about. It's not going to be about everyone else. Sometimes-
