real world analogues to concepts in de are so interesting to me. like, i think it’s fascinating to compare, say, the pale & climate change. it becomes easier to understand the resignation that most of the characters feel towards this enigmatic, world-destroying force. also, it’s really funny to put harry’s deranged dialogue into perspective. imagine being kim, & the guy with amnesia who you just met says stuff like:

“wait so, who is this ‘jesus christ’ guy? oh. uh huh. i think my ex wife was named christine. do you think there’s any relation?”

How does this exchange work? Participants sign up to create and receive one piece of Ghost Trick-related fanwork that is as tailored to their tastes as matching will allow. Prompts will be submitted privately and, after sign-ups end, manually matched to another participant, so that every participant will have one known recipient and one mysterious gifter. The minimum length for fic is 500 words, for art it’s more or less a fully inked work (or equivalent). Extra fills welcome. All works will then be posted on the game’s anniversary so that everyone gets to celebrate it with a present.
