I keep thinking about this post, so I figured I would make one about some iconic Hungarian retro songs, because they are truly amazing:
-lemon flavoured bananas don't exist but if they did they would fucking suck (much like someone i know of)
-i have never seen a black person in my life but i'm a huge fan of Little Richard and his work
-this song is not a paid promotion of yoyos. anyway here is a brief history of the product and some of its benefits. it's really fun, you should try it!!
-there are many respectable careers a woman can have: kindergarten teacher, courtesan, police officer, bricklayer, terrorist... but it doesn't matter what she does in her professional life because i love and support her anyway<33
-new guy in the neighbourhood is so talented at making out that he has become a local celebrity of sorts
-you don't even realize how great it is when you aren't here (pls leave you are really annyoning)
-romanticizing socialism: i <3 my petrol lamp
-racecar go vroom vroom
-tbh if Europe (the continent) was a milf i would fuck her
I am re-reading The Left Hand of Darkness and unfortunately, my brain is too rotten for this, because all I can think about is an alternate timeline where the girlies got absolutely sauced on this book and instead of inventing the Omegaverse, people just wrote Kemmering AUs instead.
to be clear, Ursula K. LeGuin would hate this
i'm trying to give actual shape to the blurry Estraven from my head

this!!! I was gagged when Another Story started with the TLHOD opening phrase...
best thing i've learned from UKLG currently is that you can reuse motifs across bodies of work, and people actually go crazy for that
reading tlhod in every language I know
well, my Portuguese is not that good (yet), but I'll try
not now tho, I'm reading stuff for school now🥲
thoughts on estraven's death: the image of the grieving mother. Genly holding estraven is a callback to the Pietà and other similar works of women holding and weeping over a loved one. Amid all the other cultural references in LHOD, this one stands out to me. Genly is cast as a woman at the climax of the novel, a symbol of not only his changing attitudes but his changing gender identity as well.
kpop, languages, books, thinks about SHINee and Estraven daily
