Buck CLINGS to people. He got scared Taylor would leave, he asked her to move in. Hee got scared Tommy would leave (like how Tommy left Abby, like how Abby left him), he asked him to move in.
At the well, Buck tried to bury himself with Eddie too. After the shooting, he despised himself for surviving without Eddie.
But after the well Eddie SAW how tightly Buck holds onto people and saw how he would probably rather die than be left behind.
AND HE PUT BUCK IN HIS FUCKING WILL AND HE ESSENTIALLY LEGALLY GRABBED HIM BY THE SHOULDERS AND SAID "YOU MATTER TO ME AND YOU ARE STAYING NO MATTER WHAT BECAUSE YOU CAN STAY BEYOND ME".
And when Buck was let go again (in 8x06), he KNEW he to find Eddie and that there was a space where he could settle and be held without asking.
No explanations because Eddie has told Buck he can hold his hand gently and that he can trust that Eddie isn't letting go, he is meeting Buck where he's at always.
The tenderness in knowing that the door will be answered and having no expectations of the person on the other side other than to meet them exactly where they are at, becsuse they are fully and completely enough as they are.

He wasn't expecting it. Not here, not now, not ever again. The city was quiet in that peculiar way only Matt Murdock could hear â the usual drone of traffic dulled beneath the weight of a recent storm, neon signs buzzing softly in puddles, distant sirens echoing like ghosts. He walked alone, cane tapping in steady rhythm. Then it stopped. The cane clattered to the pavement, abandoned. Because somewhere, just around the corner, he heard it â a heartbeat. That heartbeat. The one he'd memorized through late-night study sessions, courtroom whispers, rooftop confessions. Steady, a little fast, familiar in a way that knocked the air clean out of him. No. It couldnât be. But the second he heard a shaky, whispered: âMatty?â Matt ran. The world tunneled around him, senses narrowing to that voice, that pulse. He turned the corner like the street was a lifeline, like salvation waited just out of reach â and there he was. Foggy. Standing in the soft streetlight, alive, real, blinking like he couldnât believe it either. Matt crashed into him like a storm. He slammed Foggy against the brick wall, not in violence but desperation â as if anchoring him there would keep him from vanishing again. His hands fisted in Foggyâs hoodie. Their chests collided. And before either of them could speak another word, Mattâs mouth was on his. Foggy gasped against the kiss, then melted into it. Fingers slid up Mattâs back, clutching him just as tightly, just as breathlessly. When they finally pulled apart, foreheads pressed together, Matt choked out, âI thought you were dead.â âI was,â Foggy whispered. âBut I found my way back.â

When Izzy first walked out I was worried that he would be made into a joke that the crew would laugh at
but then he started singing and the dancing began and I realized that he wasnât meant to be a joke at all. This is the most open and happy weâve ever seen Izzy and the show treated it that way. Not mocking him but instead celebrating this moment.
When we talk about queer representation itâs usually just focused on queer relationships, but what I love about this episode is it shows other sides of being queer. That moment where Izzy saw Wee John doing his makeup and had a realization that he wanted that too? That is what being queer means to me. The crew singing along and cheering for him? That is what being apart of the queer community means to me.
What i love about this show is that it shows queer joy, not in a sanitized way, but in away that is messy, beautiful, and without any mockery or shame.
