Returned to my Archive of Our Own roots. I've read the Second Life series by Fulcrum55 about 3 times now and couldn't help it when inspiration struck. De-aged clones, Domino Squad reunion, hitting in the feels - what more could you ask for? (╥﹏╥)

These parallels are beginning to terrify me but also prediction for finale: commander fox spawns on tantiss and shoots echo (I think it would be silly)

absolutely losing it at the polar opposite perspective we get on darth vader during rebels. kanan and ezra encounter him and there's a dramatic lead up to the cameo and they're like "who the FUCK is that???". they fight him and lose terribly. at least until they drop several tons of heavy machinery on him. but then he survives! and then they're like "if that won't kill him what can?!" "not us. let's go!". there's no drama, no extremely emotional dialogue, no agony over the man he used to be and the monster he became. just "hey what is that? a SITH LORD? that sounds like 1-800-NOT OUR PROBLEM!!!" and then they go back to doing whatever they normally do

Got a couple of stories bouncing around in the back of my head, decided to finally put one down and see how felt...

SO

Basically, Krell orders the decommission of Rex before his death because he loathes the man for (inserts many reasons) . The order doesn't go through until after his death, but Rex still gets snatched away to Kamino. They decide not to decommission him, but recondition him instead because he has so many skills and such promising performance.

Insert this new lil ARC, just doin his thing with amazing success rates, but he's super introverted and quiet. Fives starts hanging around him, trying to open the new kid up (as he does). Eventually he finds out just who the new kid with the funky scarring is.

Chaos, angst and feels ensue.

Rebels who? Nah, this is cannon....
