hey gang! just wanted to talk about your Basal Metabolic Rate:
depends on— height and weight, muscle mass, age, and sex.
what it is— the number of calories your body burned at rest to maintain basic functions like breathing, circulating blood, and keeps your organs working.
how to calculate BMR—
for women: BMR = (10 x weight in kg) + (6.25 x height in cm) - (5 x age) -161
for men: BMR = (10 x weight in kg) + (6.25 x height in cm) - (5 x age) + 5
for example— my BMR is 1,429cal a day.
don’t worry if you go over your calorie limit or eat more than expected. your body burns more calories without exercise than you think it does! sending love 💗
