Back in the 1980’s, I went to my neighborhood Ma & Pa video store and had them order me brand new copies of Halloween II & Halloween III on VHS.
Now keep in mind, back then most people didn’t own pre-recorded VHS tapes of their favorite films, as most films were priced at what was called “rental cost”, which hovered around $80-100 (yes, you read that right). So by having copies of these movies at that time, you were either a huge fan, an imbecile or BOTH! Now here’s the kicker, because I paid so much to acquire them I was always afraid to wear them down in the VCR…so I kept to watching the copies I taped off of HBO! 😂
