A bouquet of flowers

He jumped out of nowhere with a bouquet of flowers in his hands. it seemed as if he had run a mile; he was covered in sweat, breathing hard and his disheveled appearance only added to the assumption that he had run all the way there.

— Are you alright, dear? — her tone soft laced with worry was barely heard over his heavy panting.

He straightened out his suit. He wiped the sweat from his forehead with his sleeve regretting immediately as he set his eyes on her surprised ones. A soft hesitant smile made his way to his lips. This was certainly not the way he intended them to meet

— I-I...uh — He stuttered, and as he noticed this he kept quiet once again. The flowers' bouquet was soon presented to her in the most dedicated way he could muster in his current state. — I-I brought you flowers... — he finally said.

She smiled politely, overlooking every sign of nervousness in the man in front of her. — I appreciate the effort you put into this, my dear...— Her smile faltered as she uttered: —But, you see... I'm allergic to flowers... —

We stood proud under the sun

Remembering the good days of lore

Our heart hammering in our chest

We hummed hymns of glorious joy

In our reckless foolery we sang

We believed ourselves to be invencible

Trust was meant to be unbreakable

The bonds we formed were unending

Tales we told were our world

A world that welcomed any soul

Prepared to aid in the path

To find somewhere to finally belong

A misjudgedment let to our demise

Worlds tearing apart false and truth

As the shadow clung into hearts

The bonds were broken without repair

Oh poor souls of tainted heart

Bound by strings of golden kindness

The glow hiding the insidious nature

Oh poor souls of lost freedom

Unable to never look away again

Forever stay still under the shade

Let it shape you to core

Let it teach you its need

Forever bend your will to it

Forever worship your golden bound heart

Let those out and safe weep

For the loss of the Elysium

For the golden insidious is unbreakable

Because hearts cling to it stubbornly

Let those safe walk away unburdened

No guilt after trying their best

No guilt for reaching a limit

Let those remember joyous days instead

Let them search for a day

when the sun shines bright again.

When the air can carry away,

the sound of joyful hymns again.
