Yes, you can say that someone’s attraction is transphobic. How can you tell if someone is cis or trans other than asking them? Short answer: you can’t.
If you’re attracted to men and a really handsome man tells you he’s a trans man, does your attraction to him suddenly disappear?
If you’re attracted to women and start dating a woman and fall in love with her, eventually to find that she’s a stealth trans woman, does your attraction to her suddenly disappear?
If you knew a non-binary person was trans but didn’t want to date them because you assumed them to have certain parts but then discover that those actually aren’t the parts they have, are you suddenly attracted to them?
If the answer to any of these questions is “yes”, you are transphobic– even if you’re trans– and you need to sit down with yourself and assess what’s going on.
You don’t know what parts anyone in any of these scenarios would have and you never would until they told or showed you, so what’s the real issue, here?
