OC-cember Day 2: The Demonic Blazers and The Blaze Family (Power Rangers OCs)

The Blaze Family are my OCs for the Power Rangers franchise, specifically for the series, though they do show up in the movies (especially in the 2017 reboot movie as different interpitations of L.G. and her friends) and I do plan on having them show up in the comics here and there (once I've read them, that is). They are PR-excusive villains, with the main ones that appear throughout the series are the Blaze group: Luna Gwen (L.G.), Lucy, Frederick (who is called Freddy by his friends), and Eleanora Sayara (E.S.), with L.G.'s older twin siblings Lucifer Rori (L.R.) and Solaris occasionally appearing here and there, and her parents (who at this point in time and as of this post don't have names) who rarely appear due to how busy they are, but they do have their appearances from time to time (whether they be calls or physical appearances in person).

They are essentially the Team Rocket of Power Rangers, with L.G. and her friends essentially being the Team Rocket Trio of PR (Jessie, James, and Meowth; technically L.G. and her friends are a group rather than a trio since there are four of them and not three of them, but I think you get the point of what I'm talking about).

Similarities between The Demonic Blazers and the Team Rocket Trio:

They appear in every season

They are a constant pain in the ass for the heroes outside of other antagonistic forces (Ash and his friends in Team Rocket's case and the Power Rangers in The Blazers case)

They play into the "we're bad guys, but we're not "bad guys" trope, as in while they do work for the bad guys of each season and have no problem helping them with their evil plans and goals (except if they've been betrayed, at which they would have no problem aiding the Rangers in taking them down), they do possess some redeeming qualities (aside from the aforementioned teaming up with the Rangers from time to time), such as loyalty, friendship, empathy, sympathy, and compassion.

Happy 7th Anniversary to the Ben 10 Reboot!!!

This series is (unpopular opinion I'm probs gonna get killed for) one of my favorite shows to watch, as well as one of my comfort shows. I've been a fan of it since I was in middle school and am still a fan of it to this day as a sophomore in college. While it does have its flaws, I still have fond memories of it and always will.

Fun Fact/Update: I was originally going to post a post (no pun intended) talking about a B10RB rewrite/au project of mine I'm developing called Ben 10 Reboot Reimagined, but I couldn't finish it in time for the 7th anniversary (which I truly apologize for), but I do plan on posting it sometime this month when I finish it.

It's my 1 year anniversary on Tumblr (well, technically it was yesterday, but my dumbass forgot to post this yesterday, so here it is today) 🥳🎉🎊

emergency commissions (a...gain)

So, my life is kind of falling apart and I am not okay, financially or otherwise. 

My furnace is no longer functional and I am currently living in a house with no heat in the winter, in an area where it routinely gets down to the 10s/20s Fahrenheit at night. I am also attempting to declutter, clean and pack up my childhood home in anticipation of selling it and moving into an apartment in the next few months. I feel so overwhelmed and frustrated. There’s a lot of sudden, horrifying, impossibly scary financial and mental burdens and I’m trying to do everything I can to meet them.

I’ve applied for state assistance for my furnace, but I’m not sure if I’ll be eligible. I have also applied to a charity organization for the furnance issue, though they can only donate so much to each individual who applies. I hope at least one of these options comes through. 

What I am trying to focus on right now is these two burdens: 

$300 apartment holding fee due January 11th to make sure I can get into my new apartment in a few months (Total fee is $500 but I can use $200 left in my savings.)

At least $200 in anticipation of the massive electric bill I’m going to have at the end of the month because of having to use a space heater to warm up one room for long periods of time to keep me and my cat safe while I try to work and/or pack.

So! If you were interesting in commissioning something, now is the perfect time. I love all sorts of prompts for commissions. If there’s a character from a fandom I write for that isn’t on my list, please feel free to hit me up with a commission request, in some cases I may be able to write that character since commissions have less restrictions than regular requests. 

Commissions are open! I have commissions starting at $5 for headcanons and $10 for 500-word fics, or $30 for 2000 word fics, as well as prices & options for something in between or even longer. If you are interested in a commission, please DM me (through the message system, not the inbox, as it’s best for conversations) with info to get started!

Note: Due to the nature of these life emergencies, please expect a turnaround time for commissions to be at least 1-3 weeks, depending on the length of the commission and complexity. I can provide an estimated finish date once I know more info about your commission. 

Sorry to post about emergency commissions so soon after the last time. I never understood the idea of “When it rains, it pours” in any genuine way until the last few weeks.
