I want so much more from Harry Potter but like… not what I’m getting.
Give me the happy things, but also the sad things.
Give me how Molly has a mental break down after she realised oh god she killed someone, but the reason she was crying was not the fact she murdered someone… it was the fact that she didn’t feel guilty. Because they attacked her baby, and she’ll be damned if she loses another child.
Give me George lashing out at everyone after Fred died, but when he does it to Ginny, she blinks back tears and just hugs him. And they stay there for hours.
Give me what happened to Umbridge. All the funerals from the war.
Give me Minerva yelling at Albus’s portrait when she finds out what he did.
Give me Harry Potter having a panic attack now and then, whenever he gets a headache or when lightning clashes. What about when he makes bacon and it gets burnt. But tell me that the biggest one he had was the first time Ginny was pregnant. Because no, what if they turn out like him? What if he dies and they’re given away to someone like the Dursley’s?
And speaking of, tell me, did Harry go see them again? Did Dudley have a magical child and apologise? Did Alice and Frank’s mind come back?
Don’t tell me Hermione didn’t bring muggle things into the magical world. Like (sorry) maths and other important subjects. Like therapists for people with PTSD, and medical wings for people who’ve been obliviated. Don’t forget the pens.
Don’t tell me Hermione didn’t find her parents.
And I know this is spoken about a lot, but I wish Harry hadn’t become an Auror. Especially after he had kids, because he couldn’t put himself in the position his parents were in, and leave his children fatherless.
Did he do Quidditch in his spare time? Did his kids play Quidditch?
What about Ron and Hermione readying The Deathly Hallows to their kids someday, but they don’t make it through the story because they’re fighting about midnight and twilight.
Did Hermione ever see Krum again? Did Luna yell at her Father, even being the amazing person she is?
Give me Teddy Lupin starting a Werewolves Rights campaign, and all the previous Hogwarts students getting so involved, that werewolves were treated as if they were normal, and special sanctuary’s with animals for the full moon. Give me Harry having a special connection with him, and constantly reassuring him his parents would be proud.
Give me Ron having special connections to people who are often overlooked, to the ones who aren’t hat smart but have specialties in places no one would suspect.
Give me Ginny starting a kids Quidditch league, and her keeping in a special case the broomstick she stole from Fred all those years ago.
When Molly can’t knit the jumpers anymore, please tell me Ginny, although reluctantly, but with a sense of duty, continues it. Secretly giving George two, one with the letter F. And them two arranging the kids into swear words to give out as Christmas cards.
Give me Draco apologising, although sincerely, very nervous. Hermione just smiles, pointing to both their scars, and saying she knows what it’s like to be pressured into something. That it’s not his fault he was brought up that way, that kids naturally follow the actions of their superiors.
Although some might disagree, I’d like to see him bring down the remains of Godric’s Hollow, and place something like a proper orphanage that he visits, or a psychologists building built for both Muggles and Magical beings.
Gove me a whole book on the Marauders, and when Peter was good.
Give me Charlie fighting for dragons rights, all animal right, alongside a very old Newt Scamander.
Don’t reiterate what you already gave me, tell me what I missed.
Viktor having a nightmares about Jayce cover in blood asking him why and telling that his fault.
Oh, for sure. His mind takes one look at his guilty conscience surrounding Jayce’s death and goes “let’s torment him with some nightmares.” And his sleep schedule is already probably nonexistent so it is just giving him more reasons not to sleep.
He’s already constantly replaying their last conversation in his mind over and over. All of what he could have said but didn’t. What he wishes he had told Jayce instead. What he is never going to be able to tell him now. What he could’ve done to prevent Jayce from going to the bridge. How what he said to Jayce is part of what pushed him to even go to the bridge to begin with. How he just let Jayce walk away to what would be his death. How their last conversation was him being upset with Jayce. Even if he was right to be upset about the situation, knowing that that was his last memory of Jayce being alive hurts. So, of course, its all going to carry over into his dreams as well.
Especially after learning the exact details of his “death” which is like adding fuel to a fire. How they couldn’t find a body. How it was deduced that Jayce was crushed entirely by the rubble and debris from the collapsing tower after finding torn remnants of his attire in the wreckage. He would have nightmares about Jayce appearing and just getting crushed right in front of him.
While he can do nothing about it. In some, he tries to reach for Jayce but he can never seem to get to him in time. Sometimes Jayce doesn’t speak, but other times he does and he says things like “Why did you let me walk away? Why didn’t you stop me?” while blood begins to cover his whole body before disappearing into nothing.
Even a particular version of this nightmare where Viktor is in the lab and Jayce is at the chalkboard, and Viktor goes up to him. But when Jayce starts to smile and talk to Viktor, blood slowly starts to cover his body and begins to look more and more like he was in an explosion. Like a dead body, even as he keeps acting like his usual self. As if he isn't aware that he's withering away in front of Viktor's eyes.
Sometimes, there are other people there aside from Jayce who say that it is his fault. Such as Caitlyn and Ximena.
The mind can be a very cruel thing.
Also, he doesn't tell anyone about said nightmares.
As I look back at it, it was mighty vulnerable of Alastor to casually drop the "just because you see a smile, don't think you know what's going on underneath" speech to Charlie. Like, why would you give your act away like that, buddy?
Seconds before he did it, Charlie literally said what he has been saying since day one, that Alastor is at the Hotel to smile while sinners try to climb the ladder of betterment only to fall down to the fiery pits of failure. She didn't assume that he cares or that he is what he is not.
So why the fuck say something like that, Alastor? Why give her ideas that you don't actually enjoy the Hotel Crew suffering? Yea, I know that he manipulates her to get out of his deal, but he could've said anything else without telling her that 'oh no, my smile is a copying mechanism to fake any sense of control even when I'm not okay'.
This man is an enigma and I love him.
Just a teacher leading his students to be the new generation of sorcerers ✨
today i ran barefoot down the middle of the highway into oncoming traffic to scoop this thing
Reverse Curse Technique could heal many things if the recipient willed it. It could not heal a broken heart or the feeling of betrayal. Yuji Itadori's death had been one of the most traumatic things that ever happened to Megumi. If the boy really thought about it -- it was the most traumatic thing he had witnessed. Tragedy was in his name; he was not a blessing. The people around him died or fell to tragic circumstances. He wasn't one to think beyond the realm of possibility, but it really either the world hated him from the moment he was born or being born a sorcerer attracted doom.
Megumi put all his hopes on a boy that would die eventually and in a tragic way, and he had dulled himself into thinking he gave Yuji the best outcome that fateful night. The optimistic puppy of a boy had been given a fighting chance yet was driven into a world of death. Megumi didn't know what he regretted more -- persuading Satoru Gojo to let him live or letting Yuji enter his heart so easily. Like with the death of his mother, the abandonment by his father, his sister's comatose state, and now Yuji's death... he smothered the emotions and built another layer of walls around himself.
It hurt. It really fucking hurt. He should've been relieved and overjoyed seeing Yuji pop out of that box with the dumbest smile on his face; Megumi felt betrayed by two people. He couldn't reflect on it during the Goodwill event, but he reflects on it now. The last of Shoko Ieiri's bandages were peeled off even before he was fully healed, and he stared at his sorry appearance in the mirror. Tokyo had won, they had played their little baseball game, but Megumi's heart wasn't in it. It had been with Yuji, and it had died when Yuji died. It was hard picking up the pieces after that. He couldn't face their sensei and he couldn't face the boy of his affections.
He slapped cold water onto his face and discarded his bandages then exited the bathroom. He heard Yuji's voice before he saw the familiar head of pink, and quickly diverted his path. Worst case scenario he could use his shadows to sneak back inside his room. The two boys had not seen each other since the event ended, and Megumi was not ready to open up a heart he had damned. He stepped outside the dormitory hall where he summoned his black Divine Dog, and both of them moved to the treeline. His shikigami were his only REAL friends. They did not lie; they were a part of his soul. He kneeled down beside the trees, beneath their shadows, and rubbed his wolf-like shikigami. The Divine Dog knew how Megumi was feeling and nuzzled its face into the boy's nape for comfort.
