So I’ve been thinking about Sleeping Beauty and the princess from Beauty and the Beast.

In the fandom wiki it says that they’re sisters and that Briar and Rosabella are cousins but then how would that work if Sleeping Beauty was asleep for 100 years.

So I have two headcanons as to how Briar and Rosabella are cousins:

Something happened when Sleeping Beauty was put to sleep and Beauty from BATB fell asleep too. When they woke up Beauty went through with her destiny.

Briar and Rosabella’s fathers are brothers. Briar’s father still hates the Beast for being a beast like the wiki says and everyone thinks that Sleeping Beauty and Beauty from BATB are sisters because they get along better than their husbands do.

As for what happened to the Beast family while Beauty was asleep in my first headcanon, maybe he wasn’t cursed to be a beast and just continued with their lives until they woke up. Because if it was an accident then it can’t count as rebellion against her fairy-tale.

And when I say Beauty from Beauty and the Beast I don’t mean the disney movie I mean the actual Grimm Brothers fairy-tale.

At Target this lady told her son he couldn’t have a Wonder Woman doll because “that’s for girls” and then bought her daughter the same one. It got me thinking about how often I see people bar young boys from appreciating girls/women as protagonists and heroes, and my own experience with it as a kid.
