Okay. I was thinking “The Star Always shines.” Would take place during Safe and Sound and transition to Rising Pheonix (Where John eventually dies)

Handler?: Well hello there agent, I see you are awake. Everything’s alright now, just relax and have some cake. There’s no reason to worry, I can’t assure you more. The info’s safety stored Just don’t open that drawer! (Pheonix pries open the drawer)

(Already done with them) Great. Pheonix: Everything looks normal, so I shouldn’t get worked up. But why then is there is strange, abnormal feeling in my gut. He sounds like who he says he is, but I still have my doubts. (Grabs the lighter) Guess there’s only One way To find out. (Pheonix takes the lighter and burns the agency logo. The logo easily burns and reveals that they aren’t in the agency. A loud, long series of maniacal laughter comes from Handler as his voice converts to another familiar one. John Juniper’s)

Pheonix (speaking sarcastically): Great performance.

Juniper (Speaking in a smug tone while taking off his mimic mask): I try.

Juniper (Singing) You caught me, clever Agent. Color me impressed. but don’t think you already won For I already arranged your death (The laser cage surrounds Pheonix) Ever since I met you, taking your life has been my passion. Take your final bow cause it’s Lights! Camera! Action!

Kai is wandering around the place, probably lost again, and finds an office with a door slightly open. He stops for a moment, considering just going about his day, but (being the slightly nosy person he is) decides some friendly conversation couldn't hurt.

He pushes the door open, "Anyone in here?"

"Do you think that enemies will accept that?!? Do you think they'll let you go because you can't fight any longer?!?!"

"Papa, I..."

"Give me one good reason I should let you take a break right now."

"...You're pathetic."

"Five minutes. Then I expect you to be ready to learn again."

"Don't forget what you are."

"...I'm pathetic."

*years later*

"Phoenix! Are you okay? That was a ridiculous number of people to take on at once!"

"...Did any survive?"

"...Yes... One, I think."

"...Oh."

"You're lucky I managed to get you to a hospital in time. None of us expected you to die, of course, but you could have definitely sustained lasting damage."

"...Why would you do that for me? I didn't deserve it."

"What are you talking about?"

"I didn't deserve it. One of them escaped. I didn't deserve help because I couldn't finish the mission."

"That is very much not true, agent-"

"I know I'm pathetic, Reginald. You can just tell me."

*The two spawn outta nowhere*

Pheoness: Those moles were a pain. They’re luckily I don’t support animal cruelty

The flood of agents eventually die down, but only because it's migrating over to another base. One you thought was a secret, the underground base treated as if it was a bunker. The agents wreak havoc, digging through defenses like moles, adrenaline and determination fueling several alternate dimension Agent Phoenix's, along with a few other agents you are familiar with, and some you aren't. The fight is even bigger this time, a dust cloud appearing on the surface as agents scrap with all their teeth swords, lighters, some wielding grenades, others waving guns around like party streamers ready for bloodshed. The operatives are well trained, but there's at least a dozen adrenaline fueled agents swarming the place. And considering it usually only takes one to destroy whole factories and schemes, they do some serious damage.

Amongst the chaos, two agents slip through the entrance, blending into the shadows, barely a blip on the radar. They sneak through the levels of the base, and eventually manage to hack into the holding cells. No attempt to divert attention to the moles inside base work, as most operatives have had their earpieces smashed to bits in the fight. And not too many minutes later, an override appears on the computer, and a swarm starts to pour out from the bottom layer of the base, slowly rising upwards as the battle above ground raged on.

[Another instance of Roz’s voice rings across the intercom.]

“Ah, Agents, how unexpected! And by unexpected, I mean COMPLETELY EXPECTED! You may not be susceptible to moles, but did you prepare for… ACTUAL MOLES?!”

[Roz laughs maniacally, and the ground beneath the agents’ feet rumbles as giant mind-controlled battle-moles tear up the ground and begin their attack, making any attempt at fighting back difficult.]
