So Tumblr gave me the notification that this blog is a year old! Wow, can’t believe it’s been a year posting my silly anime art. Just wanted to say a massive thank you to everyone who’ve stuck around with me. I’ve met some amazing friends (looking at you mutuals) and have seen incredible artwork by very skilled artists. Hope this year will be another great one where I’ll hopefully meet more friends and be able to improve my skills.

Also just a side note, I currently have to really focus on my studies for this January because of exams, so I will not be posting a lot of art this month (not like I post much anyways) and will be quite inactive. I will log in occasionally though ^^. Once exams finish though, I’ll be like a free bird!

meanwhile crazy:b's tiktok is just a bit all over the place, mostly kohaku runs it but he prefers to film over be in videos and the others r unwilling to go along with trends so he sticks to replying to fan comments mostly. himeru never shows his face to the point that it spawns a trend of people acting out crazy:b choreo/interviews with the guy playing himeru comedically hiding their head behind various household objects. niki streams his cooking. rinne posts the most actual videos and gets copyright striked for using audio of his own solo at one point. the videos are a bit nonsense but they go biiig big viral way more than any other idol video just for the chaos. he films himself sneaking up on niki and niki freaks so bad he flings a wooden spoon into the ceiling. for the next month every cooking stream chat is spammed with 🥄🥄🥄🥄🥄🥄🥄🥄🥄🥄🥄🥄🥄

The Unfolding of Language by Guy Deutscher. This book is a beautiful study of the evolution of languages, so if you like linguistics and that sorta stuff I’d highly recommend it!

Currently reading

Just finished the above book mentioned, so nothing at the moment. But I am planning on buying a copy of Catullus’ Poems soon ^^ What’s great about it is that the book has the translation and the original latin next to it, which makes it great for analysis because I feel like English translations of Latin/Greek literature doesn’t always quite capture the small nuances in the original.

Also, please give me book recommendations; all I read is non-fiction/science articles and I’ve gotta get back into reading fiction

After exams, I’m planning on painting quite a big portrait (I found a canvas that’s around a meter high), either with acrylics or oils, so I’m looking forward to that :D

Wind Breaker - I think it’s obvious by the number of artworks I’ve made of the characters haha. Althooooough I have been watching Blue Lock S2 and it’s pretty epic (perhaps not the animation for season 2 but the Rin vs Sae scene was just beautiful). Will definitely be reading the manga soon
