starting a collection. pierre talking to natasha in war and peace
I’m in my Josh Groban era and I will not apologise 🕺
On a serious note though the great comet of 1812 has touched my soul like no other musical has done before. And the staging is so interactive and alive especially with the audience sitting with the actors and the orchestra pit being centre stage and having the actors be part of the pit and stage. Ugh I’m obsessed. It’s honestly such a masterpiece of theatre.
“It seems to me/ That this comet/ Feels me/ Feels my softened and uplifted soul/ And my newly melted heart/ Now blossoming/ Into a new life” - Pierre, The Great Comet of 1812
ummm okay thanks carolyn
war and peace drafts are so funny i’m kind of obsessed with andrei surviving and then deciding to conspire to get pierre and natasha together like okayyy
bbc war and peace bad but callum turner as anatole kuragin was so inspired if u really think abt it. that man would also send me into a state of mania.
say what you will about bbc war and peace but this shared look between natasha and nikolai is everything to me
when they did chess in concert again in 2008 his age is fine to me (though he’s still very young, it helps that idina menzel looks about the same age as him) but here he looks so out of place. especially next to adam pascal and julia murney who almost look like they could be playing his parents (but that’s probably in part due to the grainy quality lmao)
freddie looks like he’s thinking “who’s kid just walked on stage”
