help me get through winter

so electricity bills haven’t come down by much; the government isn’t subsidising them this year tho, so i’m having to keep the heating off, which is frankly unsustainable given my chronic illness; i have an electric blanket but even with that and not showering more than once a week and no laundry, my winter bills are looking to be £70-£90 a month.

i can’t afford that. Or to not shower or do laundry, in another sense of “afford”.

also right this moment my fridge is empty and i’m having some kind of flare again and i haven’t eaten today, and my credit card, which i’d managed to pay off finally with a friend’s help, is becoming a problem again because of aforementioned “i can’t cook right now at all”.

any amount of £££ helps! hoping to raise £800—£250 will go straight to my account with my electricity supplier so i have a decent amount of credit to burn through, £500 will go towards paying off my card and £50 for food for the next little while.

listen, my favorite person in the whole world is at an earthquake area right now. i can't reach her, I heard from her friends that she's okay but I've been crying my eyes out for hours. over 5000 people have died in less than 24 hours. and more will come if help doesn't reach them soon enough. so yall better stop for one second to share the turkey earthquake news and reblog donation posts because i will not stand by and watch as the world ignores this whole thing just because we're not white people. share the news. its literally the least you can do.
