Hm, interesting... Wasn’t there an interview where Robin said that as soon as Gotham was done filming, he’d shave all his dyed-black hair off so it could grow back out blond? Well... this is after filming finished, right?

Maybe he just hasn’t had time yet, or maybe they asked him to keep the hair for a while in case they need to film pickup shots still. Or, maybe he’s changed his mind and decided to keep it black for a while. It does look quite nice, after all :) 

Or maybe, just maybe... could there be more? *insert hopeful smile*

Forget what I said before tonight’s episode about possibly wanting Isaac’s betrayal to stand for the sake of emotional intensity, by the way. Identity part 2 handled things beautifully and I couldn’t’ve hoped for better. While it might’ve been interesting to have all of Isaac’s past interactions so profoundly undermined by the realization that he was simply a genocidal Cyberman playing his role all along, it’ll be more fun in the long term to have an artificial intelligence who believed he was incapable of emotions realizing he has them and figuring out what to do with them amidst being cut off and isolated from his people, all the while having to heal the wounds his betrayal caused.

Also, human!Isaac was great and I love how his expressions are so level and robotic yet vaguely bemused with hints of wonderment. They’re just so on point for a human manifestation of an intellectually curious robot. I’m glad I can go back to enjoying him properly. 

I’d like to do more than that.

Happy Valentine’s Day! I’ve been working on a longer Valentine’s post of my own for a few days now (a sort of retrospective of my ships through the years via my favorite fanvideos) but it’s late and I need to go to bed, so it’s going to have to come out a little late. So, I thought I’d just reblog something cute and Valentine’s-y while it’s still Valentine’s. Well, it’s technically early morning the day after, but you know, close enough. So I just finished Stranger Things Season 3 and, of course, I have a great many thoughts and feelings and a great deal of angst but for now I just want to say...

New BroTP: AlexeRay (or MurLexei?)--the grumpy, cynical conspiracy theorist paranoid about Russians and his cheerful, bubbly covert Russian scientist bestie. Or, when what you fear the most becomes your best friend. 

So, the snow live wallpaper I've been using on my phone kept crashing on me, and I figured it was time for a new phone background. As luck would have it, I’d seen this beautiful comic illustration earlier that same day, and I thought it would make a perfect screensaver for my phone!

I messed with the tint, warmth, and saturation a bit to give it a purplish cast in order to make it match my personal color palette, and then I screenshotted it so it would match the dimensions of my phone screen, and behold, my new wallpaper:

I’m quite fond of my new wallpaper! I’m still just reading Season 8 and so I haven’t reached where Spike shows up quite yet, but I’m very much looking forward to it; from a few panels I’ve seen, it looks like it’s going to be really cute. Anyways, having this as my phone screensaver has been making me smile whenever I open it. It’s a very cute and dynamic Spuffy art piece! Feel free to use my screensaver edit on your own phone if you’d like.

By the way, if anyone wants to take my image ID without the part about my screensaver edit and put it on just the first post, that would be totally fine, though I’d happily appreciate credit. Thanks!

I still love the idea of a crowded group road trip in the sub! Except now Barbara will be holding her baby child in her arms instead of her belly. 

Also, in my ideal AU of this, Penn and Martin are crammed in there as well. It’s all the makings for the best road trip comedy ever, haha :) I mean, how can you top a band of supervillains roadtripping in a cramped submarine? There could be a whole spinoff series just of this! 

Ed is just going to have to make a few more calculations...

Yeees, this is the parallel that immediately came to mind for me too! Oswald is speaking Ed’s language now :) Or perhaps he actually has believed in fate all along. 

Either way, I do hope Ed noticed and appreciated that particular turn of phrase. I think it’s reasonable to imagine he picked up on it, given how word-oriented he is; surely word choice like that doesn’t slip past someone who spends so much time and effort manipulating words via riddles. 

Anyways, I’m just thrilled to see them back together again :) Huzzah for Nygmobblepot submarine adventures!!

TBH from what I’ve seen on Gotham I get the sense that the GCPD doesn’t actually care all that much about the chain of evidence and whatnot, but maybe Gordon’s working on turning things around.
