We're eating well this autumn, but damn do I need therapy after all the agonising angst they had to put me through.
I said I would start the parallels—
More to come later tonight ✨
The RE8 × BG3 crossover has returned
It's time for our lovely House Beneviento to shine
Behold: Lady Donna Beneviento in Baldur's Gate 3
She is a half-drow (they are usually discriminated against in the lore of DnD for their bloodline, and thus most of them prefer solitude) wild magic sorcerer (to reflect the unpredictable nature of her powers in RE8)
To better match her theme, her powers are focused on illusionary, psychic, and necrotic magic, with the occasional random effects caused by her wild magic surge that might unintentionally add to the chaos
And of course, we cannot go without her emotional support doll gnome, Angie
She is a forest gnome (she talks to all the critters in my head canon) shadow monk. Imagine a 4 feet tall, cackling little gremlin teleporting all over the battlefield, kicking people in the shins and stabbing them on the toes (she gets along so well with Shovel). Terrifying, right?
She gets into all sorts of shenanigans, like doodling a goofy face onto the portrait of an undying lich queen, but shhh, nobody snitch on her
Look at that little face, she's so proud of herself
These two shall conquer the world with their autistic social anxiety & ADHD chaotic energy combo
And as per usual, group photo!
yes, I put Astarion in a trench coat because he shares the same voice actor as Heisinberg, so just a tiny reference to that
Prev: House Dimitrescu in Baldur's Gate 3
Darling literally went "oops, hope no one saw that"
Maybe this is a stupid question, but Does Alcina really trips on furniture because of her height? How many furniture on her castle are out of place that implied she maybe trips with them?
From what I recall, we only have this moment from the Maiden demo where it is implied that she accidentally slammed against the armor. If anyone has noticed any misalignments, feel free to share!
Source.
I've never noticed her short hair peeking out from under the habit until I actually got the game and examined her in-game model, which admittedly is just yesterday (ik, ik. took me forever), but omg queen, slay.
Some Blender screenshots for anyone in need of a reference for Miranda's face/hairstyle ;)
A few landscape shots that I think can make for pretty good wallpapers

Sometimes, a family is just an emo goth, an angry space frog, a purple misandrist, a vampire twink, an autistic magician, a golden retriever butch, a half-devil fencer, a furry, a folklore grandma, a bald guy and his hamster, a random adventurer with a weird name, and a psychotic amnesiac with a migraine -- all surrounded by a bunch of pets that they adopted off the side of the road.
A decaying mummy holds the sole of their guardianship.
A lot, actually
I love what I've seen of Split Fiction so far and I have one burning question.
What happens if you put a fanfiction writer in The Machine?
Played around with picrew to recreate the blorbos in my fic, did some minor edits too (tattoo, extra scars, hair highlights, etc)
Also, I love how the expressions can really showcase the difference in their dynamics
Aquila (Tav) × Shadowheart
Azure (Durge) × Minthara
Got a BG3 A.U. for the RE8 women (also counts as DnD A.U.?)
Had to make do with modded presets but I've tried to pick out the ones that have similar vibes (I need a mod that adds their face models into BG3 lol)
May I present: Lady Alcina Dimitrescu in Baldur's Gate 3
I made her into a drow (she fits right in with the matriarchal culture) thrower barbarian (an elegant one, mind you -- it's for the furniture throwing), and if we use enlarge spell or elixir of colossus on her, she'd look much closer to her canonical height
I also made the Dimi daughters with hirelings, so here they are as well
Bela, gloomstalker assassin
She gives off the vibe of an elegant, efficient archer. Imagine her rolling her eyes while she cleans up after her sisters by finishing an enemy off from a distance
Cassandra, battlemaster fighter
Canonically, she hangs out in the armory and it's also implied that she's the best hunter/fighter among the three
Daniela, dual-wield swordsbard
I mean, she lingers at the library and has the flirtiest lines. All that, mixed with some martial skills, I think college of swords bard fits her quite well
And of course, Lady D's dream guardian, Miranda
The mothers are mothering
Look at these queens, casually chilling and serving (don't mind Orin, she's just having an eepy)
Miss D and the Pall Boys?
How about Miss D and her Slaying Girlsquad?
A shame women aren't real
But the gay obsession certainly is
Next up, Donna and Angie?
