The 60s AU thingy is finished!!

This was super fun to draw! I've been meaning to make 60s AU art for a while now, like I came up with the idea for the AU a full year ago cos that's when I first started listening to the Beatles (omg so much of the 60s AU is just me being a massive Beatles nerd)

Cosette's outfit is inspired by the 1966 outfit from this Gabi's Vintage video

also Grantaire has long hair bc it's the late 60s and that's when the Beatles had long hair absolutely loved drawing his blazer thing i love the pattern

i have like,, so many more ideas for 60s AU art, i will definitely be doing more at some point

For some reason, I thought it was an amazing idea to make all of my relatives watercolour paintings for Christmas. I have spent so long doing watercolours hhhhhhhh so these were super cool to draw bc, unlike watercolours, they did not take 5 million hours to draw and there is an undo button if I make a mistake.

me and my dad are big fans of Alien and The Thing so we were watching it and pointing out shit like how those dark corridoor things with the blue and green lights looked like the nostromo and stuff aghahghgahah sci-fi my beloved

the mimicry thing??? holy shit?? so cool????????? I think te weird crab crawl thing was defo a reference to the exorcist

exiistential horro rmy beloved <3<3<3 I think the scene before they meet the mimics where they're looking out at the empty space was soooo cool. I felt genuine dread it was just,, incredible.

When there was that scene when it was abt to explode ad it was all slow motion I was freaking out so bad oh my godddddds

ok loooove the way David was playing the mimic ver of the doctor, like doing little things to make his expression and tone just slightly off, it was soooo cool

I looooove the design of the Captain w/ the skull that kinda resembled a deer or goat I think??

I have spent way too much time today telling people doctor who-related trivia.

None of my friends watch doctor who but that's not stopping me from telling them all that the first episode of doctor who aired 80 seconds later than scheduled because they needed to give the news that JFK had died.
