The dog in question...:**
I've seen a lot of these 'I got that dog in me' on my fyp lately, but none Bluey related. So I obviously had to change that š«”š
@yarrow-leaf ās Strahd is and always has been my muse. which means itās really fun to look back at drawings from September and compare it to a drawing from tonight, both using this post as a reference. idk if it comes off as as much of an improvement from the picture, but I can feel it in my bones ā Iāve grown.
oop jumpscare from one of the ugliest strahds iāve ever drawn š use references folks please
follow this blog if you want:
- whatever art references come across my dash
- the occasionally impressionist painting (not mine)
- one (1) artwork per month of whatever random fictional man i have most recently attached my mental health and wellbeing too
CURRENT MAN ā Kim Kitsuragi (Disco Elysium)
Strahdtober Day 4 - āBrideā, and Day 5 - āSweetsā
it took two damn days to make this, and I ended up not being able to put as much detail into the cake as I wanted, but all in all, Iām mostly pretty pleased with it. not bad for my first real swing at digital art š
new for the first time tonight ā Nikolai Wachter
also featuring ā a bunch of dot expressions, thicc strahd in boxers and a cape, and so so so many noses
also the drawing thatās colored out is one iām really proud of, but it is specifically for my secret strahd piece, soooooooo
i couldnāt think of a better way to communicate this so its this . my struggle
i think whatās crazy is that when i draw, itās like there are three different people with wildly different art styles and technical abilities fighting for control over the pen
neferon big naturals
when youāre pleading for your life and the old man disguise isnāt working anymore, sometimes you have to get desperate (it didnāt work)
as soon as i make something, i end up feeling really frustrated with it. i know this is a common experience, but itās so hard working on something and being proud of it, and then being like āwhoops, it actually has the same color issue all my other art has that I canāt figure out how to solve.ā
i think if i had to guess what the source of that color issue is it would be that I donāt vary my values enough? and tend to stray away from really intense shadows or highlights. Iām also not really āmaking choicesā when I do digital paintings in terms of lighting and stuff. it might be worth watching some videos. cause I really really hate how flat everything I do looks.
expect lots of Curse of Strahd art, or whatever else i feel like drawing
