Because when I was trying to describe what level and types of entertainment I enjoy, I wasn’t able to make myself clear to my bestie’s boyfriend who has way more ‘sophisticated’ taste than me lol
But I think if I were to summarize what I like in a nutshell, it’d be: a fun romp (nothing heavy), with just enough angst/intrigue to make it meaty, and a visual treat to watch.

Just a random peeve of mine I discovered:
I think guys that are of average height but lanky with pianist hands, prominent cheekbones, soulful brown eyes, soft tenor voices, and who are studying Neural Engineering shouldn’t be allowed to work at the Genius Bar at Apple stores…at least not when they’re fixing on my malfunctioning iPad.
Seriously, it’s not fair that a guy I would have dreamed up to be the perfect love interest in one of my stories actually shows up in real life.
Random thoughts on personality quizzes and types and systems:
Like most people, I’ve taken a quiz or two and read up on personality systems and even looked at my zodiac signs (Greek and Chinese-which I’m still the most skeptical on because they both so far off it’s laughable).
But I’ve come to an idea regarding the others, like Myers-Brigg and the Enneagram system, and that is:
I don’t think there is one right system, but perhaps different systems work for different people.
Because let’s face it, humans are so unique and full of nuances and there’s quite a lot of us so how could the whole fit into 16, 9, or even just 4 personalities?
I’ve taken the Myers-Brigg so many times and each time I would get a different answer depending on the day (though it mostly stayed within four choices of INFP, INFJ, ISFP ISFJ).
Several other systems labaled me as a White or from Peace Country or a Leo (which is the funniest of all).
Then I took a quiz for the Enneagram system and got a 4. And when I read the description, I was amazed to find how much it resonated with me. And then when I got an in depth book, it was almost scary how on the nose it was.
So why aren’t I advocating the Enneagram system with all my being?
Because the people around me don’t seem to fit as well into the Enneagram system as I do. (The greatest example being my dad because he seems to be an enigma to all the systems).
So if the goal is to have a better understanding of yourself and others, there’s nothing wrong with subscribing to the systems, as long as you keep in mind they are tools for improving yourself and your experience with others.
Part 1
Tell Shonda you want more scenes of Nicola

Done! I don’t know how much better those deleted scenes are but fingers crossed this at least gets the message across that fans aren’t happy.
Earlier this evening I was driving on the highway to head to my writers group. I needed to change lanes to get to my exit and proceeded to do so, enjoying the scenic ride. That is until a car horn starts and continues to blast behind me.
I turn to look and a giant truck has appeared behind me (I honestly didn’t see it when I went to turn). And because the truck continued at its breakneck speed (while still blaring its horn at me, causing me to get even more flustered), I had to speed up to avoid getting rammed because another car was already coming up behind me in my original lane. But my car is little and old, and can’t go 0 to 60 in 0.3 seconds, so the truck continued to blast its horn at me the whole time I’m trying not to cause an accident.
I finally make it to my exit without crashing into anyone, but then my stomach sinks as I see the truck now riding my tail as I get off the exit. Now I’m terrified this person is going to ram me out of spite.
The exit joins up to the town road, but you have to yield to oncoming traffic, so I do. The truck then suddenly swerves out from behind me, and as they rush by, the driver and his passenger flip me off as they scream profanities that consist of female slurs (which originally were just plain old words until some man decided to make them curses because they happened to be female centered terms).
Now I’m really shaken up and am forced to drive behind them until the road splits into two. But horror of all horrors, I end up almost right next to them at a red light. I can feel them staring at me and I’m now scared out of my mind.
Thankfully, a police car with its lights and sirens on drove past us, and that seemed to cool the trucktosterones down because they peeled off into the next side street and I didn’t see them again.
All this to say, it’s probably men like these that are getting dumped because of the Barbie movie, and I’M GLAD.

Tagged by @a-lighthouse-a-man-a-city, because someone knows I love doing these things so much xD (that’s not sarcasm, I truly enjoy these random ‘tag list meme’ things)
Rules: Tag people you’d like to get to know better/catch up with
Three Ships in any order: Entrapta/Hordak (She-Ra), Tsukimi/Shū (Princess Jellyfish), Barbra/Strickler (Troll Hunters) - I fan-girl squee so hard whenever I see any of these couples together >w<
Last Song: Bad Romance (Medieval Style Cover by Hildegard von Blingin') - This randomly popped up in my YouTube feed suggestions and now I’m in love with this cover xD
Last Movie: Treasure Planet - Because I’ve realized there are a lot of Disney animated movies that I enjoy as an adult way more than I ever did as a kid, mainly the ones that weren’t as popular when they came out. Now I feel bad for not liking them when I was younger.
Currently reading: ..... O////O, not sure if I have the guts to share that on the Internet. It’s nothing scandalous but since it’s one of my guilty pleasures I feel, well, a little guilty and more than a little mortified at the thought of anyone finding out.
Currently watching: Wars of the Roses Documentary by Timeline - Since working at home, I’ve been watching a lot of documentaries in the background while I work, because I’ve been assigned projects that is so mind numbing I can do it and learn about how monarchies were seriously messed up in the sense that a lot of them came and/or stayed in power because of brutal decapitations.
Currently consuming: Toaster oven s’mores - Not quite as good as the real thing, but they’ll do in a pinch. I should also mention that instead of chocolate bars, I’m using baking chocolate chips (milk chocolate) because they were way cheaper.
Food I’m craving right now: My papi’s carne asada - My neighbors are Hispanic and have been barbecuing for the past week and it’s making me miss my family so much because it smells like home! :(
