~ because he has died 3 times and gotten horribly beaten up practically constantly in hi3, welt has chronic joint and nerve pain

~ that's why he made the star of eden into a cane when he replicated it, so it could have two functions

~ his pain is the worst in his knees and fingers (only made worse when he would overwork himself as an animator) but he has pain in all of his joints

~ his pain fluctuates so he doesn't need to use the cane every day (but he probably should most of the time)

~ on good days he just wears knee compression braces and a compression glove on his bad hand

~ most of the time he doesn't use his cane when he needs to, a habit leftover from when he was sovereign of anti-entropy and couldn't show weakness in front of others

~ pom pom and himeko (plus einstein and tesla when he was on earth) can always tell when he's pushing through the pain and refusing to use his cane

~ pom pom and tesla lecture him throughly on the benefits of using his cane when he needs it (and the consequences of not doing so)

~ einstein and himeko just hand him his cane and watch him for the rest of the day to make sure he's using it when he needs to (if he's not they snitch on him to pom pom/tesla)

~ although he wants to go on as many trailblaze adventures as he can, he only goes when his pain is mostly under control (that's why he didn't go to jarilo-vi the first time)

~ subduing and neutralizing stellarons make his pain flare up so he has to go back to the Express immediately after to lay down

~ theres one bathroom on the Express (but it is big, there's a whole car dedicated to it) and welt hogs the shower because the hot eases the pain in his joints while he's in it

~ welt has a weighted blanket that he always sleeps with on the Express, when they spend multiple nights off of the Express he goes without it because it's too heavy to bring with

~ without the blanket he wakes up multiple times during the night from pain (if he even sleeps at all)

~ with the blanket he wakes up a lot less and his joints feel less achy in the morning

~ when march was learning how to sew (to alter her outfits) one of the first advanced projects she made (with welt's input and help) was a weighted arahato stuffed animal that could be heated up so he could ease his joint pain

~ march has the prototype version of the stuffed robot and insists the two robots are friends

~ occasionally his pain is so bad he can't get out of bed and on those days the trailblaze trio sets up in his room and they watch movies and play games to keep him company

~ welt always insists he doesn't need help but everyone (the express and his earth family) ignore him and help him anyway

~ when his finger/knuckle pain prevents him from drawing march takes pictures of the things he wants to draw so he can sketch it later when he feels better

people are saying his accent sounds russian??? he does NOT sound russian. i can't say much on it but it's not 'stereotypical' american/canadian,, pls elaborate on the transatlantic accent?

Russian is one of many guesses I've seen. I've also seen French, German and British. The reason people can't pin point or agree on what accent he has is because it isn't an accent from any particular place. It's not even a real accent, really. It's a transatlantic accent, a learned accent taught to entertainment personalities during the 1930s and 40s which has very much died out nowadays. He sounds old fashioned, because he's definitely meant to.

It's like a mix between an American and British accent. Apparently, Directors of the past favoured this accent as it was neutral and so you could use it in films that weren't specific to one setting, but it was also seen as a more sophisticated accent overall and held high prestige and became the standard accent in American Film, Radio and TV. Frustratingly, there isn't a great deal of information on the accent, but if you've ever watched an old black and white film then you'll definitely have heard it.

Another theory is that filmmakers were trying to create a way of speaking that could be understood clearly across multiple different English speaking countries since talkies were a new form of media, hence the merging of an American and a British accent together into one. A different potential reason for it's existence and use in media is that the enunciating of vowels made the voices of entertainment personalities easier to understand over old TV, Radios and Film who didn't have entirely clear sound at the time, plus it's non geographical placement makes the accent good for characters that aren't from a specific area such as angels or the voice of God or aliens.

In a nutshell, it's an accent created for entertainment personalities and was taught in affluent schools and Hollywood Film Studios, and that's why he speaks with it, and why he sounds like he's from the 40s or 50s. He's meant to sound that way, it's a conscious choice.

To answer the question my favorite are the Poecilotheria Metallica or commonly known as peacock parachute spiders/peacock tarantulas. I really love their colors

Here's the thing. "Renheng but Blade is immortal and nothing goes wrong" goes totally against the themes set up in HSR. But it's so fucking funny.

So, Dan Feng loves Yingxing whatever. They decide to make Yingxing immortal together and then BAM no one finds out (so no big crime to be arrested for) but there's two ways to play it. Either they have to slowly gaslight everyone into believing YX was a long life species this whole time, or they have to somehow pretend this is not YX, this is some other 100% naturally immortal dude and Dan Feng just has the Most specific type ever, to the point that he basically got his exes twin but immortal with a cooler haircut.

And with the gaslighting idea - I think it could work. No one's gonna notice that YX isn't aging for at least a few years, probably more since everyone they know is long-life and they likely have a warped perception of how regular aging works. So DF & YX just gotta wait like 5-10 years, slowly dropping hints that "oh yeah can't wait till our 150th anniversary!!" And Jing Yuan is like "... Hmm is that normal? That's probably normal?".

Cos also. Who's gonna mention it? Like it's gonna take so long for anyone to notice, is Jingliu gonna eventually sit them down like "you did a big sin didn't you" and then YX and DF just play dumb: "what??? Jingliu what are you on about? Is Mara eating all your memories of YX definitely being immortal this whole time?" So that's not good for Jingliu's mental health but whatever.

Anyway so Dan Feng and Yingxing have successfully scammed everyone but DF is still definitely the High Elder and absolutely no one wants him to be dating this guy. Also the dragon heart is missing cos it's in YX's chest and surely the Preceptors would check up on that? Like a renewal service? Some sort of 200-year check-up? Does DF have to take his bf with him so the aura is nearby? It's just a game of "how dumb are these guys?" Until all those preceptors reincarnate into ones who DF can convince "oh no the High Elder is supposed to give the dragon heart to their beloved. Yeah it's a ritual. Oh the immortality uh no Yingxing had that forever obviously".

Eventually YX is gonna get stabbed and he's definitely more immortal than everyone else. More gaslighting ensues probably, cos otherwise it's like?? He's just an abundance monstrosity (Jingliu is seeing red rn) and Jing Yuan has sussed it out at this point but yknow he likes YX; he prefers him being alive than dead. Jingliu is gonna stab YX for being an undying monstrosity and JY steps in - "nooo don't you know I mean ig your parents never told you but if uhhhh you suck enough dragon dick this is totally normal -" and anyway Sanctus Medicus get a lil fetishy sex crazed from that conspiracy theory.

Then later DF has to be reborn which is sad, but I like to think YX just takes like. A gap year from their relationship. He's a divorced old man he deserves a mid life crisis while DH gets the "plss don't fall in love this idiot guy again" speech from the other Vidyadhara but it's working like reverse psychology, DH is all "pshh I'm way too put-together for that!!" And anyway YX is still a hot piece of ass so DH fails immediately.

One day DH gets a dream memory about the whole sinning part of their relationship and has to come to terms with That™ meanwhile YX is sipping a mimosa while he's having a moral dilemma. "No babe it's fine it's like. Yeah it is a hellish sin but it's cute that you're so worried about it. No they can't try us for crimes we did so long ago don't worry" meanwhile JY is still dealing with the paperwork nightmare from YX's birth certificate definitely not being that of a long-life person's but ehh.

Basically fluffy unproblematic renheng where no one gets amnesiaed or tortured is great and good even if it laughs in the face of canon.
