I just listened to the first episode of Sherlock & Co. again and Stamford doesn't warn him here eitherš
Though the difference is that John instantly knew that this wasn't gonna be normal because the first time he sees Sherlock he is bleeding. On a treadmill. Because he's doing an experiment on himself. So while Stammo hasn't warned him here either, at least John could throw out his expectations of any normal conversation himself, before being "mouth-doxxed" as @valhallassoundbox put it, since that's a much less normal start to meeting someone than the person just innocently asking for someone's phone lmao
Buuut Stammo still let John walk into this room unprepared for what Sherlock was up to, although to be fair he couldn't have known that *that* was gonna be what Sherlock was doing either, but he probably knew that there was a chance it was gonna be something like that
I just find it funny how Stamford seemingly did NOT mention to John that Sherlock would know everything about him the moment heād walk in there. He did not know that he was instantly gonna be able to tell him everything about himself as if he had just finished copy and pasting a Wikipedia article about Watson directly into his verbal drive
Instead of warning him Stamford was just like āCanāt wait to see your reaction, itās better when you experience it first-hand without spoilers lmaoā and decided to let John walk into that room completely unprepared for what he was in for lol
John thought this was gonna be a relatively normal conversation
Thank you so much to everyone who wanted to help me with this assignment by sending in their examples!!
I wrote it today and didn't end up needing as many as I thought for the speech itself, but I absolutely appreciate how many people sent their thoughts in, it's crazy how much support you guys offered, I'm really thankful and there was quite some interesting stuff among that :]
Hello everyone, I am having to prepare to write a speech for my literature class concerning the quality of movie adaptations of novels. So I wanted to ask: Do you guys have any adapted scenes that you found remarkable in some way? Preferably a good one, but bad examples are welcome too of courseš«”
Maybe a scene from Arthur Conan Doyleās canon that often gets left out but you find important? Or a scene that you thought a certain adaptation absolutely nailed or really just butchered? I am specifically referring to specific scenes here and *not* to overall seriesā or movies. Please do tell me about what you find remarkable in relation to the original novels, I would really appreciate any help with this as Iād started to look for examples a bit late so I only have today and tomorrow to gather themš§āāļø
This doesnāt have to concern Sherlock Holmes, it can also be about Harry Potter, etc., anything really, I just used that as an example since I plan on using Holmes as a reference/example for my thesis anyway.
Fast replies would be much appreciated, as I donāt really have any idea where to even start right now :,)
I reaaaallly wanna know what they'll be doing for Mycroft, I'm patiently awaiting his eventual introduction š
Can't wait for Sherlock & Co's adaptation of The Greek Interpreter, because the Bitch Fitā¢ļø John's gonna throw when he finds out that Sherlock has a brother will simply be Glorious
I canāt put my deerstalker on at home in peace, because every time I do I think of her and thatās very uncomfortable
Got a reel with this audio on my fyp a few months or so ago and instantly knew I had to make an SNW Subspace Rhapsody doodle reel for thisš„ø
Canāt believe this may be the last thing Iāll have drawn at my school
Ruler and his saxophone hehe
Can you tell I've never drawn someone playing the trombone before? Lol
definitely wanna learn how to draw Riker thoughš
Idk how to introduce this pitch properly, but look at what I've gathered:
Abed - Sherlock
Troy - John
Annie - Mariana
I bet the Sherlock & Co. trio would watch Community on TV nights and I can imagine Troy and Abed listening to Sherlock & Co. and eventually getting Annie into it too for the bit because they want her to know she's their Marianaš§
This developed from me thinking about how Troy and Abed would dress up as John and Sherlock for Halloween and today I got hit with the connection between Mariana and Annie
Although John is the more "media-reference-y" one, but Sherlock and Abed are both canonically autistic and the way their dynamics work here and also in some other situations/the way they work themselves makes more sense that way I think
(Is there an overlap of these fandoms? Please tell me there's an overlap of these fandoms)
Do you guys ever just remember that Watson had to fight in the First World War?
Who is logic Al and why does Spock keep mentioning him?
Picked up crocheting purely because of a neat Connor pattern I saw on Etsy and got the urge to make it, so now I've been working on this since yesterday and am attempting crochet for the second time ever (the first time my best friend and I gave up at some point because I kept doing something wrong and we couldn't figure out what it was [I think it was just simple line stuff]) so this is my very first actual crochet project and I dare say it's been going relatively/quite wellš
finished the game for the first time on Sunday and havenāt been able to stop thinking about it ever since š The way Markus was introduced with his cosy first chapter, especially in contrast to Karaās introduction, instantly had me sold on him, heās certainly one of my favoritesš¦«
also got a version without the statue from the pacifist route (which I loved to have as an option)š«” love this guy
Iām still confused about where these rendering skills randomly showed up from specifically for this drawing lolš
