Native to Australia, Acacia dealbata (blue wattle, mimosa, silver wattle) is hardy between -5ΒΊC and 1ΒΊC, it does best in southern and coastal regions of the UK, where winters are milder. Here this fast-growing, evergreen tree, was thriving in a restaurant garden near Deal, Kent, and was covered with almond fragranced, bright yellow flowers and bees. Branches of flowerheads can be used as cut flowers.
