also, when the simulation is over he takes a moment to look at his hand (where they were holding hands) in a satisfied sort of way before he leaves the room, and when he steps out the rest of the legion make fun of him and are like “did you have a good time in your battle simulation, or did you and superman just go out to the movies this time”
