Hello, my name is Areej Kassab. I’m a 27-year-old English teacher and writer from Gaza, and I’m reaching out to you with a heavy heart and a desperate plea for support. My family and I are enduring unimaginable hardships as relentless bombings devastate our home and our dreams.
We are a family of 15—10 adults and 5 children. Every day is a battle for survival. Food is scarce, humanitarian aid is not reaching us, and my little nieces and nephews go to bed hungry. Among them is my sister, who is deaf, and another sister who has a newborn baby. They, too, are suffering in this crisis, and I’m doing everything I can to protect and provide for them.
💔 A Life in Ruins The war has robbed us of everything: safety, peace, and even the hope of a future here. My family’s needs are basic yet critical—food, clean water, diapers for the babies, gas for cooking, and other essentials to make it through each day.
With rising prices and limited access to necessities, we are struggling to provide even the most basic items. My sister’s home has been destroyed, and we are working together to ensure everyone has shelter, food, and warmth.
✨ My Plea for Your Support ✨ I’m a writer, and I’ve been documenting the harsh realities faced by my community under siege. But words can only do so much. We need action, and we need help. Your kindness can save us.
🙏 How You Can Help
Donate: Every contribution, no matter how small, brings us closer to securing the essentials we desperately need.
Share Our Story: If you can’t donate, please share this post to help us reach others who can.
Your support will help provide food for the children, clean water for my family, and basic supplies to help us survive this unimaginable crisis.
Thank you for reading, for caring, and for standing in solidarity with us. Together, we can create a lifeline for my family—a chance to live, to dream, and to hope again.
With love and gratitude, Areej Kassab ❤️
Here’s my story, and I’m reaching out with a hopeful heart 💔✨, hoping someone will feel what my family and I are going through.
The Israeli occupation forces launched drone strikes on my husband, Fayez, and my son, Mohammad.
my husband was hit in the head, while my son Mohammad was wounded in his legs.
Although my husband's condition has stabilized, my son is still suffering immensely and urgently needs medical treatment outside Gaza.
I lost most of my family. I'm afraid to lose my son too 🥺 .
I need your help please donate and share, evry contribution, no matter how small, brings us hope in these dark times.
Mohammed deserves to live a happy and healthy life, just like every other child on this earth.
So I humbly ask you to donate even a little or at least reblog this appeal.

Me drawing JD: I need people to understand that he is an incredibly complex character with motives. Which doesn’t excuse the wrong he did but it’s more than just wanton destruction.

Rebuilding Lives: A Family's Struggle and Need for Support in Post-War Gaza
In the heart of Gaza, a once-thriving family now grapples with the harsh realities of war. Mohammed Alanqer, a dedicated engineer, had built a promising technology startup that was the cornerstone of his family’s livelihood. However, the war has left his business in ruins, and his family displaced, facing severe financial and health challenges.
The Impact of War on Livelihood and Education
The destruction of Mohammed's startup has stripped the family of their primary source of income. This loss is compounded by the closure of schools in Gaza, depriving their children, Layan, Sarah, and Adam, of their right to education. With the educational institutions in disarray, the children’s future remains uncertain, threatening to deepen the cycle of poverty and instability.
Health and Safety Concerns
The war has not only affected their financial stability but also put the family's health at risk. The destruction of hospitals has left Mohammed's wife, Enas Majed, in a precarious situation, particularly during her pregnancy with their youngest child, Amir. The family also struggles with medical conditions, including their son Adam’s battle with viral hepatitis and other illnesses like measles, which have become prevalent due to the lack of proper healthcare facilities.
The Urgent Need for Support
The family has been forced to flee their home multiple times, living in constant fear and without basic necessities such as clean clothes and adequate food. Their situation has become increasingly desperate, with the cost of escaping to a safer environment being prohibitively high. The financial burden of crossing borders, estimated at $5000 per adult and $2500 per child, is beyond their means.
A Call for Help
Mohammed and his family urgently need support to overcome these challenges. The total estimated costs for providing education, housing, and essential needs amount to between 27,817 and 42,485 euros annually. This includes:
- Education Costs: 11,817 - 18,485 euros per year
- Housing Costs: 12,000 - 18,000 euros per year
- Basic Needs: 4,000 - 6,000 euros per year
This financial assistance would enable the family to secure a stable and safe environment, ensure the children’s return to education, and provide the necessary healthcare to overcome their current difficulties.
Conclusion
The story of Mohammed Alanqer’s family is a testament to the resilience and determination to survive in the face of unimaginable adversity. However, their journey cannot be completed without external support. By contributing to their cause, you can help rebuild a future where Mohammed’s children can grow up in safety, pursue their education, and live with dignity.

A small writing of my idea of Cody suffering from deafness because of Morocco that I told you before (because I am better at writing than drawing)
.-“Cody? Is everything okay?”-.
The Chife asked as he knocked on the door to the room of his youngest son, who had not wanted to talk to anyone after the doctor gave them the diagnosis a few days ago.
He was now suffering from deafness and it may worsen over time to the point of being completely deaf in both ears.
.-“Can I come in?”-.
He asked, although he wasn't really expecting an answer because he really wanted to comfort his boy, hold him and tell him that everything was going to be okay.
Cody was lying on his bed, curled up looking at any point in his room, his breathing was so slow that it seemed like he was going to fall asleep at any moment. Charlie sat next to him and brushed a strand of hair behind his ear. Cody shivered a little at his father's touch, who removed his hand instantly, fearing that the touch with his ear had hurt him. A small awkward silence was created between them, at least until Charlie dared to speak.
.-“Cody...I know that this, all of this is overwhelming but I know that we are going to be able to overcome it, I know that you will be strong and you will try to keep going because I know you and I know that you are not one of the people who gives up quickly”-.
Cody didn't say anything, he just turned around to look at his father, his eyes were full of tears that threatened to come out, he was shaking and the words were stuck in his throat, he could feel them.
It was the first time Charlie had seen Cody or any of his children this sad, he pulled him close and hugged him while also laying down on the bed so Cody would be more comfortable, the blonde boy started crying uncontrollably, he felt completely miserable, his world was falling apart and he felt so lost thinking that his whole life was over.
.-“Shshshsh, it's okay little one, it's okay, I'm here, everything is going to be okay, I promise”-.
Cody only sank deeper into his chest looking for some comfort, which he got with his father caressing his back up and down while pulling him even closer to him, Charlie had to bite his tongue to keep from crying too, hearing his son's desperation broke his heart, plus he was also scared, scared of what his son's life would be like from now on, he believed in his own words, he knew that Cody was strong and that he wouldn't give up but that didn't mean he wasn't worried.
It took a long time until Cody finally calmed down, he was tired and his eyes were burning, he was falling asleep, his father's warmth made him want to stay there forever, he wanted to sleep and never wake up, in the end, he closed his eyes and his breathing became even calmer, Chief Burns noticed it, he took the sheets so he could put them on Cody and considered the option of leaving him there asleep but, a part of him didn't want to leave, he wanted to stay to hug his little boy (he was only 12,he wasn't even a teeneger), he wanted to sleep next to him to take care of his sleep, he decided that as long as there was no emergency he would not get up and that even so, the team could take care of it themselves, so he settled down to be closer to his son and could forget about everything for a moment, although what he could not forget was that Moroco managed to commit one last crime by harming his son in this way, and it did not matter that he was already dead, he would never stop hating him for that.
(I hope you liked it and I think this could be an AU, the only problem is that I don't have a name yet and I probably write this in Ao3 [I say that a lot])
