29. All I want is you! 50. So whose the unlucky girl?

Requested by @justareader —-

There you were, sitting outside under a tree. You were lost in your book, not once taking your eyes off the pages.

Bucky watched your from afar. A smile appearing on his lips. He was captivated by you. Ever since the first second he saw you walk in to Tony’s lab, he was hooked.

That was about six months ago, and he had made it his mission to get to know you.

But little did he know, he would start to fall for you. Which brought him here.

He took in a deep breath, and started toward you. His heart was pounding profusely with every step he took.

“Hey.” He muttered, capturing your attention.

You shot your gaze up to him, squinting your eyes as the sun blinded you for a moment. “Hi!” You smiled.

Bucky loved that smile, it was the one he had memorized.

“I kind of need help with something.” He exhaled, digging his hands deep into his pockets.

You closed your book, and propped up to your feet. You raised a brow, crossing your arms over your chest. “So whose the unlucky girl?” You teased.

Bucky swallowed hard, glancing at the floor then back to you. His stomach was churning more and more. “Uh–”

“Let me guess, is it that girl from the bar! The blonde chick that you slept with?Because she didn’t seem like your type. Just saying.”

He shook his head feeling the heat radiate off his body. “No.” He exhaled. “Actually, it’s you.”

Suddenly you were frozen. As your eye brows furrowed, you locked your gaze with his. Scanning his face for bluff. “Bullshit.” You lightly chuckled.

Bucky quickly licked his lips. “I’m serious Y/N. All I want is you.” He stated. “I am completely and hopelessly in love with you.”

“B-But what about–what about the blonde? The one you’ve been–”

“I tried to push my feelings aside but I couldn’t because, she’s not you.” He expressed. “No matter how hard I try, I can’t seem to stop thinking about you.”

“Buck-”

“I love you Y/N.”

ACOTAR MASTERLST

My arms were pinned above my head with Xavier’s hand gripping both of my wrists tightly. I writhed under him as he pawed at me. “Dolls, don’t move this much.” With his free hand he gripped my neck and forced his tongue down my throat as he pressed his length against me. Tears warmed my cheeks as my moan of agony was swallowed up by his mouth. “Shhh. It’s alright, it’ll be over soon.” He whispered over my lips as he slanted them down over mine again and I began to squirm. Xavier released the grip of my neck, his leather clad finger touching down my naked body. Until he reached my clit, and I gasped causing him to slither his tongue into my locking me tightly into place as he began to play with me like a toy.

I kept my eyes open as his disheveled blond hair fell forward from his face and tickled my collarbone. He moaned in my mouth as he slid a digit inside me, and I tried kicking my legs. Only the sharp sting of his hand against my core caused me to pause. “Stay still or I will get the spreader bar.” His blue eyes bore into mine with a seriousness that chilled my blood. “Do you understand?”

I steadied a breath, “Yes sir.”

He smiled, kissing me again, the feeling of his mouth on mine made me feel dirty and made me want to shrink into myself. Having enough I bit down on his bottom lip hard. He released me and I rose to my feet and tried to flee. His hand gripped my hair and I screamed, “No!” As Xavier yanked me back and forced me to my knees. “Get off me!” I shrieked.

“Let’s fix that mouth of yours, shall we?” He pressed the tip of his cock against my lips, the precum coating them, He released my hair only to pinch my nose. It didn’t take very long for my lungs to cry out for air, and I opened my mouth. Before he could do anything, a growl emulated from the corner, “Do not touch her.” Cassian’s voice grounded out. His siphons were the only thing I could distinguish as my vision was beginning to go out of focus.

Cassian had come for me, and when I turned to see him, silver glimmered in the illumination of the moonlight, and I screamed but it was too late. Graysen had taken the steel and sliced Cassian’s wings. “Cassian!” I cried out as the assault to his beautiful wings continued. I reached out for him only for Xavier to loop his arm around my waist. “Cassian!” He groaned on the floor, blood pooling underneath him. As I made another attempt to reach out to him. To have my fingertips reach his. “Please wake up, please wake up, Cassian.” I sobbed.

Bolting awake sweat raced down my back and face as I took in my surroundings, realizing I was in my room in the cabin and not in human lands. A little voice in the back of my mind kept saying:

Find him. Find him. Find him.

Rising from my bed I padded my way to the door to go find the General of the Night Courts Armies.

Cassian’s POV

Screams erupted all around me as my brothers and I raided the camp in search of my mother. Her screams flooded the camp, and I locked eyes with Rhysand and with a dip of his chin I bolted to the sound of her screams. My lungs were burning as I pushed myself to run faster thought my mother's screams were still so far from me. The night breeze pierced my skin as I pushed forward as the outline of the camp came into view.

As I entered the threshold of the camp another bloodcurdling scream rang through the camp, no one stirred, no one came to her aid. Weaving through the makeshift cabins the silhouette of male and a kneeling female caught the corner of my gaze. I changed course and headed in the direction where my mother’s beautiful face came into view. Terror consumed her features as tears ran down her face. “I’m sorry, my sweet boy.” Her voice cracked and Cassian collapsed to his knees. Mother pulled his face close to hers, “Look at how you’ve grown, Sweetheart. I’m so proud of you.” She connected her forehead to mine, and I shut my eyes and took in her scent of snow and wildflowers.

“Cassian.” The voice caused my eyes to shoot open, and no longer was my mother’s eyes looking back at me but the familiar hues of Y/N. “Cass.” Her voice was shaky, and her fear was palpable.

I felt arms loop around mine and angrily yanking me back from the youngest Archeron sister, “No! Get off me!”  I thrashed as the two Illyrians pulled me away and the male that was behind Y/N lifted his battle Axe. My siphons roared to life and red power blasted from my body. The two warriors release me and I bolt toward, Y/N as the Axe slices through her neck.

I fall to my knees as the assassin drops the axe, “Long live the queen.” The male murmured barely falling to my ears as the gruesome scene laid bare in front of me.

I could feel the presence of my brothers as they approached and my tears turned into sobs as I lifted the body close to mine, Ignoring the fact her head was not attached and sobbed.

I bolted awake, sweat coating my skin and along my hair line. Pulling my hair up in a bun I sat at the edge of my bed trying to catch my breath. It took a few minutes before I took in my surroundings and realized that I was in the Cabin. Y/N’s room was right next to mine and just needing her in my arms I stood up and headed to find her.

Opening my door, I stepped out to find Y/N emerging from her room. Her face met mine and I could see the tear-soaked cheeks and her gaze met mine. “Hey.” She said tucking her bottom lip between her lips.

“Hey, you.” I gave her a small smile; I rubbed the back of my neck. “I was actually coming to find you.

“Oh?” She gave me a small tilt of her lips upward. “I was coming to find you too.”

Something warmed my chest at her words, and I held out my hand, “Come on, Princess.”

Y/N hesitated, then in a flash she slapped my hand away and wrapped her arms around my waist. Pressing her face into my chest. I heard her release a soft sigh as I coiled my arms around her. “I had a terrible dream.” She murmured.

I pressed my chin to the top of her head taking the scent in. She was here, she was alive, she was in my arms. “Me too,” my hand slides up her back and runs through her hair.

She sniffled and my body went rigid, “Graysen chopped your wings.” She whispered. She pulled back to look at them, her gaze was assessing, and I stilled as I realized she was checking for injuries.

I stroked my thumb against her cheek grabbing her attention, her eyes filled with worry.  “I’m okay, Princess, I flexed my wings so she can see they are uninjured. “My wings are perfectly fine.”

Y/N nodded, “What about you? You said you also had a nightmare,” Her voice a soft whisper and she gripped my hand, her soft fingers a stark contrast my calloused ones.

“I’m alright.” Her brows furrowed causing a little indent on her forehead. I leaned down pressing my lips where that crease resided and pulled away. Satisfaction bloomed in me as her face relaxed slightly, the wrinkles disappeared. I took her hand in my own and I quietly led her back to my room.

“Cassian What are you doing?” She questioned me as I opened my door.

“You have ruined my sleep schedule, Princess. If it’s alright with you, I would like you in my bed.”  Her cheeks tinted with the lightest shade of pink though panic enraptured her eyes, as if she was going back to a memory with Xavier. I tugged her hand lightly, “Hey no,” I leaned down to meet her eye level as my free hand gripped the back of her neck. “Come back to me, Sweetheart.” She blinked once… twice and there she was, my girl.  “I just want to hold you while we sleep.  Your presence comforts me.”  I chewed on the inside of my cheek at the admission.

Y/N gave me one of her toothy grins, one that could make me fall to my knees. “I’d like that. I sleep better when you’re close.”

I pressed my lips to hers for a moment and then kissed the tip of her nose, “Let’s get you to bed.” I adjusted my hands to hold her back and under her knees and picked her up and held her close to my chest. She gripped her arms around my neck and her Jasmine scent immediately calmed me.  “You died.” I whispered as I kicked the door shut behind me and continued and made strides to the bed. I placed her down at the edge of the bed.

Crawling in next to her, she laid her back, her kind warm eyes never leaving mine. “I what?”

Lying on my side and wrapping my arm around her stomach pulling her close. I nuzzled my face in her neck, peppering it with soft featherlight kisses moving up to her jaw and pressing my forehead to the side of her face, “In my nightmare.” I murmur against her skin. “I watched you get slaughtered in my dream. It started off with me looking for my mother and when I found her, she morphed into you.” I could hear her heart begin to race and I tried to rub soothing circles against her clothed side to calm her. “I watched you die. I just…” I paused and released a sigh, pulling away from her. Laying on my back fanning out my wings holding my hand out and felt her soft hand slip into mine and my fingers curled around hers. “I just needed a reminder that you were ok, that you were alive.”

“Darling,” Y/N whispered shifting on the bed and could feel her facing me. “Look at me.” I refused, she pulled her hand away from mine and her cool delicate fingers found my cheek and she lightly pushed my face to meet hers and her eyes held nothing, but warmth and comfort and I could feel a tug at my chest. She sat back, adjusting the pillows against the headboard as she sat back. Her hand still touching my face she lightly tugged, “Come here, Cassian.”

The tone of her voice made me move, and I braced my arms on both sides of her hips, a few loose strands falling from my bun. She swiped them out of my face and then she patted her chest, “Lie down,” My body obeyed her command instantly my arms slid around and gripped her back. My ear pressed against her breast where her heart held a steady strong beat. She was showing me that she was alive. She tugged the bun from my hair, and it cascaded down in every direction. As if she could sense my need for her touch, she began running her fingers through my hair. “Feyre would do this for me when I had a bad dream. Especially when I left Xavier. This was the best thing she could come up with to calm me.”

“Remind me to get her flowers before we go home?” I grumbled, snuggling my head deeper into her chest. “This is nice.”

Y/N kisses the top of my head and begins to hum a soft tune, after a few moments the hums turned into words, and she began to softly sing in my ear. A lullaby I was unfamiliar with. Though I can’t focus on the words as her soft melodic tone seeped into my bones and wrapped around my soul. Her beautiful voice, her fingers massaging my scalp and her strong pulse ringing in my ear my eyes grow heavy. Before slumber can pull me under, I could have sworn she whispered, “It belongs to you anyway.” Then sleep consumed me.

Unwavering Presence Chapter 12

I stirred the next morning to find my head pressed against a pillow.  I lifted my head up blinking away the sleep and found the side of the bed cold. Pans collapsing and clanging on the ground in the kitchen followed by a slew of curses had me sliding out of bed, tying my hair back and following the sound. Making sure to quiet my footsteps I leaned against the door frame leading into the kitchen. Y/N was grumbling picking up the scattered cook wearing her hair in a braid that looked disheveled. Her cheeks were flushed, and I couldn’t help but admire her plump ass as she bent over to put things away, fighting the urge to collide my hand against it with a sharp slap. As she stood, and grabbed something off the counter, I made my presence known, “What’s going on in here?”

Y/N must not have noticed I was here because she jumped and in doing so the contents of the bowl she was holding flew in the air and landing all over her. She turned to look at me and pushed out her bottom lip, “You ruined my surprise.” She mumbled, shaking her head to get the flour out of her hair; a plume of flour swirls around her.

I pushed off the doorframe and approached her as I fought the laughter from escaping my lips. I looked at the contents on the table and my chest heaved. “You were trying to make breakfast?”

The youngest Archeron sighed in defeat, “You were upset last night because of your dream, and you made breakfast for me when I was upset. I was trying to do the same.” She looked at the mess in the kitchen, “Clearly, its not working out and I woke you up in the process. I’m sorry.”

This time I do laugh, and she tucks her head down in embarrassment. I lift her face and wipe some of the flour off her face. “My sweet, Princess. You’re cute. How about this. You go get cleaned off. I will clean up here and we can cook together.

Her face lit up, “Really?” I nodded and she smiled, “I’ll be right back.” She bolts out of the room and called out, “I’ll bring you down a shirt.”

I chuckled and began cleaning up.

Unwavering Presence Chapter 12

The smell of eggs wafted through the kitchen as Y/N whisked the mixture for pancakes and I fried our eggs. She was swaying her hips dancing to whatever melody was in her head, “Do you always do that?”

She turned continuing her little dance moves as she poured the batter onto the pan, “Do what?” Pulling away when she gets a few perfect circles on the pan.

“Dance when you’re doing something?” She looked up and the dancing stopped as she thought about it.

“I guess I never noticed before.” She placed the bowl down, and held out her hand, “May I have this dance, General?” She wiggled her eyebrows her hair neatly put up a Violet bow in her hair wearing her leathers.

I flipped the eggs and glanced at her from my periphery and her eyes shifted from playful to soft and pleading her lips pushed out in a pout. Knowing that I could deny her nothing I tucked in my wings and gripped her hand in mine and my other around her waist as her hand rested on my bicep. I began to sway with her in the kitchen, flexing my bicep muscle every now and then. “We might burn the food.” I pointed her out as spun her around and pulled her back into my arms.

“We might,” She hummed. She smiled, “But we’ll at least have some fun.”

I rolled my eyes and tapped her butt. “I don’t like wasting food, back to the pancakes, Princess.”

She grumbled and crossed her arms but made her way back to the pancakes and flipped them. Y/N proceeded to swish her hips and as we finished making breakfast, I found myself moving my hips along with her and getting swept up by the invisible beat she was dancing to.

When we finished eating our breakfast, I pressed my lips in a tight line watching as the sun gleamed on Y.N as if the mother was praising her handy work in how beautiful she made her. My lips turned upward as she furiously scratched words into her journal. She was focused and I rubbed at my chest trying to ease the tightness there. “I have a favor to ask of you.”

Y/N looked up from her journal and the sun glinted around her hair like a halo, “Sure. What’s up?”

“The other day when I had to leave because there was an incident that happened at the camp.” She tilted her head and I continued, “A little girl had her wings clipped. It’s a terrible tradition my people have when a girl has their first bleed. They take away their ability to fly, so they can focus on doing housework. It was one of the first thing that was banned when Rhys came into power, but the leaders of the camps still find work arounds.”

There was a tick in Y/N’s jaw, her eyes becoming glassy. She cleared her throat, “That’s horrific. We can discuss that later though, what’s the favor?” She shut the notebook and straightened her posture she reminded me of a solider waiting for orders.

“The little girl, Grace is her name, asked if I could bring you over to visit.” I smiled as her face shifted to one of shock. “She wanted to meet the human who saved her and her family.”

Y/N stood up and pressed a hand to her chest, “I would be honored. Can we go now?”

“Of course, Princess. Let’s get going.”

Unwavering Presence Chapter 12

We landed back into the camps and placed Y/N down and gripped her hand and walked her over to one of the cabins. She squeezed my hand and took a deep breath. Once we reached the front door Y/N knocked twice and waited as she shifted her weight from one leg to the other. “You, okay?”

She simply nodded and before she could speak the door opened and both of us had to look down to find Grace looking back up at us. “Hi Cassie! She ran up and hugged my legs. I pressed my hand on the back of her head, my grin growing wide.

“Hi, Little one.” I said and got down on a bended knee and held her tiny hands, “How are you feeling?”

Her eyes beamed, “I feel so strong, though my wings hurt when I stretch them. Will that ever go away?” I opened and shut my mouth unsure what to say but then Y/N cleared her throat and saw Grace realized there was another person with me. “It will pass, with time though every now and again it will throb. It will be more uncomfortable than painful.” She whispered and got down on her knee. “I’m Y/N, I heard your name is Grace.”

Grace lit up at the sound of her name, “Cassie, you kept your promise!”

I placed a hand on my chest in mock offense, “I’m sorry as your General I always keep my promises.”

Grace moved from my embrace and walked toward Y/N grabbing her hand and leading her inside the cabin and I followed behind the two girls. I was greeted by Grace’s mother, her brown hair pinned up, her wings tucked tightly, and she pressed a hand on my arm, “Thank you, General. She hasn’t stopped talking about being brave for her Cassie. Your kindness has made this whole situation easier for both of us.”

I held her hand gently in mind and gave it a squeeze, “I’m sorry, I wasn’t there sooner. I wish I could have prevented it.”

Grace’s mother provided a small, “It may not have been preventable, General.”

“Please call me, Cassian.”  I smiled.

“Diana,” She returned, “Go on Gracie. hasn’t stopped talking about you bring Y/N here.”

I walked deeper into the cabin in the common living space to see Gracie drawing and Y/N coloring alongside her. “Y/N where you hurt like I was?”

I stilled and watched as Y/N’s posture stiffened though she gave a smile, “Yes, a bad man hurt me. I have scars on my back because of it. But we do share one thing in common with each other.”

Grace eyes grew wide, “We do?”

Y/N nodded her body relaxing once more, “Cassian came to help us, when we needed him most.” Gracie looked over to where I was standing. Y/N’s gaze was burning the side of my face and when I met her stare she smiled.

“He is like a knight in shining armor saving the princess!” Gracie squealed. “We were the princess!”

I smiled and walked into the room, “You sure are!” Grace ran up to me and leapt into my arms and I was quick to catch her.  “Cassie, are you going to marry Y/N?”

Y/N coughed the air becoming tight with uncomfortable silence. I cleared my throat, “I have to know, curious girl, why would you ask that?” I tickled her sides, and she began to giggle.

“Well, you saved her from the bad man, and you were holding her hand when you walked in. You clearly love her.”

I looked at the woman in question her cheeks were flushed but she said, “Well, Cassian is a good male, he will always help someone in need. As for him holding my hand he is aware that I get nervous and fidget, he was trying to bring me comfort.”

Grace furrowed her brow, “But you two must get married. I know you love each other.”

Y/N smiled, “Tell you what we can revisit marriage when we come and visit again.”

Grace gasped, “You want to come visit again?”

I flicked the child’s nose, “Of course we’re coming back, I have to check the bravest female in windhaven.”

Grace puffed out her chest in pride. “I won’t let you down, Cassie.”

I nodded, “You never could!”

“Would you two like to stay for dinner?”

Grace smiled, “Yes they would,” there was no room for argument, and we stayed for dinner.

Unwavering Presence Chapter 12

The next week, Y/N and I fell into a routine, meals together, she would go in the study and write as I went to the camps. We still had not heard from Rhys so I had to assume that they were still in the Summer Court. When I get back Y/N and I would make dinner together and then she would get into one of my shirts and I would hold her close to my chest and we would simply fall asleep.

One day I left for Windhaven to discuss some plans with Devlon and enforcing that the females are aloud to train.

Devlon crossed his arms, “They will train after their chores, Is that simply not good enough?”

I snarled, “They deserve to have the choice to not do the chores if they don’t want to.”

Devlon snorted, “Says the male who is parading human trash around, and she follows you around like a little pup.”

I bared my teeth at him, “Mind your place, Lord. She is under the protection of your High Lord. Your just mad she bruised your pride.”

Devlon lifted his chin the sign of pure arrogance, “I could care less of an opinion of someone beneath me as a human whore, who is sleeping with a bastard born brute.”

I clenched my fist as my jaw ticked, “I will not tolerate your tone, step out of line again, and I will be personally mandating all your men doing the chores while the girls will train.” I took a step closer to him, “I hear you say one more thing about Y/N Archeron, I will not hesitate to sink your teeth in. Are we in an understanding.”

Devlon walked around me and made sure to collide with my soldier, “The females will train. Get out of my Camp, General,” He drawled out my title and left the tent.

Frustration pent up I followed him out and took to the skies to head back to the Cabin.

Once I reached the Cabin, I noticed the fae lights still on, I was later than I anticipated, but I walked in and kicked the snow off my boot and slammed the door behind me. The anger stirring in my gut was festering and I didn’t want my princess to be subjected to that. I stomped up to my room and slammed the door. I sat on the bed and pressed my palm against my eyes to try to relieve the pressure that had started to bloom in my head.

There was a soft knock on my door. “Cass? Are you okay?”

“Go away, Princess.” I murmured and pressed my palm deeper into my eyes. As the door opened.

I heard her footsteps growing near her and I pulled my hands away from my face and leveled a glare at her. She paused and retreated a step, “I wanted to make sure you were okay.” She spoke quietly, my eyes glazed to her hands where she was picking at her nails, she was nervous. “What’s wrong?”

“Nothing. I’m fine. I want to be alone.” I barked out. Sighing, I ran my fingers through my hair.

When I looked back at her she looked stricken, as if I hit her.  She pressed “Cass, let me help.”

I snorted my rage boiling over as I rose to my feet, and she took an instinctive step back. I barely registered the fear in her eyes, “Tell me, Y/N, how could you help me. You can barely help yourself. Always hoping someone will save you; Rhys, Az, Feyre, are you that incompetent of taking care of yourself. That you resorted to sleeping with an abusive-“

I didn’t get the sentence out before her hand collided with my cheek. “You know I was coming to check if you were okay. I did not expect you to be a prick. I made dinner all by myself, so you came home to warm meal.” Guilt washed over me at her words, “Whenever you feel like acting like a grown adult; come join me.” She turned and headed for the door, “I don’t need a reminder about how low and insignificant I am.” She taps her head, “I hear those words repeatedly in my head, and yet Nesta had never failed to remind me of just how worthless, and beneath her I am.” Her voice cracked and it matched the ache in my heart, “I never thought you would stoop so low.”

Looking up at me I could see the hurt in her tender eyes. “Princess, Wait.” Her shutting the door; the solitary clicks of the door meeting its latch, was the only sound in the room.

For a moment I stared at the empty space where she had stood, then I crumpled to my knees. Tugging at my hair, my brain began to whirl, Hurt, Hurt, Hurt. You Hurt her. I had made her feel the same way she felt with Xavier and Nesta. “What. Have. I. Done?” I whispered as I curled in a ball my wings cocooning me, trying to block out the sobs I heard coming from the other room.

I am a monster.

Game Night - Avengers x Reader

Game Night - Avengers X Reader

Words: 885 Pairing: Avengers x Reader (maybe a lil bit of Steve but it doesn’t show too much) Warnings: cards against humanity: read at your own risk. (But hey, we’re on tumblr- right? ;) ) Requested by anon “Hello. Could I request the avengers playing a game of cards against humanity. Some things is said and they start covering each others ears convinced ___ is too innocent so they end up covering Steves ears.” Authors Note: I love cards against humanity it’s so much fun.

Masterlist.

“I just bought Cards Against Humanity!” Tony announced as he walked into the common room.

“What’s that?” Steve asked. You burst out laughing, knowing full well what the game was.

“It’s like, a card game, where a black card is placed down and you have white cards to complete the blank.” You told him.

“It says adult card game.” Natasha read off from the box. “Maybe (Y/N) shouldn’t play, they’re a bit innocent.”

“Hey, Steve thought fondue meant-”

“We don’t need to talk about that.” Steve covered your mouth, as you tried to escape from his grasp.

“I think we’ve all heard the story before.” Bucky said.

“Who wants to play?” Tony yelled, getting everyone’s attention.

Everyone around joined in. You, Steve, Bucky, Clint, Natasha, Tony, and Vision all sat in a circle. You all started to play the game, and it quickly got the adult aspect, and quick. Sometimes, Vision would not understand and everyone would try to explain, but just ended up laughing in the end.

“My turn to judge!” You said. “Play your worst.”

“Think of their innocent mind.” Steve reminded.

“Alright- this is a good one! Blank is a slippery slope that leads to blank.” You giggled.

Sleepover

Bucky Barnes/Reader

Sleepover

The Avengers tower was luxurious. The beds felt like actual clouds, there were light and sound systems in your room that you could adjust perfectly, and your apartment was so high up that you couldn’t hear the noises of the city, but still could see the stars. Your shower had been long and relaxing, as you could adjust the pressure just right. Your lights were off. You were in a somewhat comfortable position. So why the hell couldn’t you fall asleep?

Groaning in frustration, you got up and padded barefoot into your living room. The design of the whole little apartment (though it was missing a kitchen) was sleek and modern. You loved the atmosphere it set. Normally, you would feel right at home with these surroundings, and yet, you were just too worked up to sleep.

You chalked it up to still being relatively new here. You were already close to the avengers, but after an attack on your own home, they decided to move you into the tower. It was like a constant sleepover with good friends—but with a lot more weapons and fighting.

You stared at your clock for a moment. It was 11:30. Most of the avengers would already be asleep. Silently, you slipped out of your room, deciding to explore the tower more.

The level you lived on was just a hallway with two rooms. Steve lived beside you. A faint light shone from under his door, and a soft tune could be barely heard. You recognized it as an Elvis song.

You rolled your eyes. “Grandpa,” you whispered fondly under your breath before continuing down the hall.

You called the elevator, punching in the numbers for a few floors down. But the elevator started slowing to a stop a floor above your destination. You furrowed your brow in confusion. It was almost midnight—why would the other avengers be awake?

The metal doors slid open to reveal a very disheveled looking Bucky Barnes. He was clad in sweatpants and an iron man shirt, and his eyes squinted at the bright lights inside the elevator.

You hadn’t ever really talked to Bucky. He moved into the tower only a few days after you, but wasn’t much for conversation. You assumed he was getting over the traumatic experiences with Hydra—something all of the other avengers knew about, so they kept their distance. He was wary of everyone in the tower, though Steve tried to get him acclimated to living with all of them.

His blue eyes finally adjusted to the light and landed on you. You were also in pajamas.

“Can’t sleep?” He asked, raising an eyebrow.

You shook your head.

“Me either.” He stepped inside the elevator, and pushed the button to the same floor you were headed to. There were all sorts of rooms to poke around in down there.

You sat in awkward silence, contemplating your options. Bucky didn’t seem like the type to run around an empty floor at midnight. Then again, you didn’t really know what type he was. Eventually, your boredom got the best of you, and you said, “I’m gonna explore a bit. Want to come with?”

Bucky considered this for a moment, eyeing you levelly. “Tony keeps a stash of Oreos above the fridge,” he said finally. “We’re headed there first.”

You grinned at him. “Fair enough.”

“I can’t reach them!” You whispered harshly, jumping up and down in front of the fridge. Bucky was standing guard, just in case someone came down to this floor.

“Really? It’s not that high,” he said, obviously trying to hide the humor in his voice.

“Easy for you to say. I don’t have a super soldier serum! I’m normal human height!”

“Okay, I’ll get them—”

“No! I can do this!” Stubbornly, you looked around for anything to help you. “I’ll just climb on the counter. Just a sec—”

“Don’t, it’s slippery!”

Bucky’s warning was too late. You’d just pulled yourself onto the counter when you felt yourself slipping, falling fast toward the ground. Bucky was there in an instant, catching you right before you hit the floor.

You looked up at him, a mischievous grin overtaking your features. “Hey, guess what?” You said when you realized he was still holding you.

He raised his brow.

“I just fell for you!” You snickered at the pun as Bucky titled you upright again.

“You’re ridiculous.”

Quite a few Oreos later, the two of you wandered down the halls, having explored the rooms on that floor thoroughly.

“Hey, wait a minute,” Bucky said, lightly grabbing your arm to stop you. The contact sent a small shiver through you. You told yourself it was a draft.

“Let’s go to a different floor,” you suggested. “Maybe one of the offices. We could scare a few late workers.” It was already past midnight, so you doubted anyone would still be there—but you were getting bored. “We’ve already explored everything on this floor.”

“Not everything.” He pointed to a small crawlspace in the wall.

“What? No way!” You shook your head.

“Scared?” He arched a brow.

“No!” You defended. “Just…I think it’s too small for your shoulders to fit. And I’m not going in alone.”

“I think you’d be surprised to learn what I can fit into, doll.” He sent a suggestive wink your way. Scoffing, you playfully pushed at his shoulder. You were glad the lights were off—you didn’t want him to see the way your cheeks heated up.

“Besides, it’s a bad idea. Haven’t you ever seen a horror movie? Going into a dark crawlspace is like, the number one way to die.”

Bucky frowned. “I don’t think I have seen a horror movie.”

You stopped. “What? Really?”

He shook his head. “I’m sure they played them at drive-ins in Brooklyn,” he said thoughtfully, “But I can’t remember watching one.”

Astounded, you instantly made up your mind. “That’s it! We’re watching a horror movie!” You declared, grabbing his hand.

Bucky stiffened. For a moment, you panicked. You remembered how he shied away from the other avenger’s attention, avoiding physical—or even social, for that matter—contact. You really didn’t want to make him uncomfortable. The night had been going so well.

But then he grinned at you, letting you lead him down the dark hallway of the tower.

“I don’t understand why we can’t just go down to the movie theatre. That’s what it’s there for!” Bucky exclaimed, shaking his head with an exasperated smile.

“I have no idea why Tony thought a movie theatre was necessary in the tower,” you stated. “Plus, it takes away from the experience! Here, hold this end down.”

Bucky grabbed the corner of one of his sheets, keeping it in place as you draped the other side across a few chairs. The blanket fort was your idea, but Bucky had brought down his own materials. He’d provide the blankets if you shared your snacks.

Standing upright, you dusted off your hands and nodded approvingly. “It’s perfect.” The conference room table had been moved out of the way, the chairs strategically placed to hold up your fort. The opening was wide enough to see the tv.

“How do we get in?” Bucky asked, eyeing the tent.

“The door’s over here!” You held up a blanket at the end of the fort.

He took the blanket from you, motioning for you to go in. “Ladies first,” he grinned.

You complied, crawling into the tent while grumbling, “Don’t look at my ass, Barnes.”

“Wouldn’t dream of it,” he replied rather sarcastically.

Once Bucky had finally managed to crawl in, he looked around the fort. “What are you, some kind of blanket architect?”

“I’ve been building these ever since I can remember.” Using the remote to start the movie and turn the lights off (still a surprising feature to you), you settled in next to Bucky, nestling into the pillows and blankets you spread out on the floor. You opened a pack of candy and popped a piece into your mouth, content with how the night was going.

After a while, the movie was boring you. It was one you’d watched at least a thousand times. So, wanting something to do with your hands, you began to braid Bucky’s hair.

He didn’t flinch this time, but you saw his face twist with confusion. “…What are you doing?”

“Fishtailing,” you answered simply.

He nodded thoughtfully. “Oh.” A few moments of silence passed before he asked, “And what the hell does that mean?”

You smiled. “It’s a type of braid. Your hair is really soft, by the way. What shampoo do you you use?”

Instead of answering, he snorted. “You’re braiding my hair.”

Sitting up properly, you continued the braid, decided to make it wrap around his head. “This has got to be a real sleepover experience. Blanket fort, snacks, horror movie at 2 am, braiding hair, gossiping about friends…” You trailed off, watching his amused expression. “Actually, let’s skip that last one. I don’t want to gossip about people that can kill me.”

Bucky laughed, a smooth sound that contrasted so greatly with the man you first met a few days ago. Here, illuminated only by the tv, he didn’t look like the Winter Soldier. He just looked happy. You finished the braid, smiling at the finished product.

He sat up suddenly, earning a shout of protest when he almost knocked the fort down. “Teach me how,” he said.

He was suddenly very close, you realized. His lips were just inches from yours. You tried not to think about it.

“Teach you how?” You asked, internally wincing at how your voice wavered. He smirked, just the tiniest bit. “To braid. I’ll do yours.”

You grinned up at him. “I’ll show you.”

You took a small strand of your hair and separated it into thirds, demonstrating it for him. “Just cross it over into the middle each time. Like this.”

He nodded, studying the strand before moving behind you to start the braid. “So, over one to the middle…” He trailed off, sounding lost.

You giggled. “Here. I’ll help.” You rested your hands on his, guiding him through the steps.

Your felt his breaths on the back of your neck as he concentrated, trying once again not to think about how close he was. A small shiver ran down your back. You hoped he didn’t notice.

You didn’t realize how hyper-focused you were, because when a scream sounded from the film, you jumped with a startled yelp. However, with Bucky’s hands still in your hair, you didn’t get too far. The tug on your hair sent you falling backwards, straight into Bucky, who happened to be leaning on one of the fort’s support chairs. The whole thing collapsed on the two of you.

You groaned, your head still in Bucky’s lap. He lifted the sheets and looked down at you, quirking his brow in amusement. “You alright?” He asked, unable to keep the humor from his voice.

You nodded with a sheepish smile. “Guess I was just distracted,” you mumbled. “Sorry I ruined your braid.”

He leaned forward, hovering slightly above you. “I don’t mind,” he said, moving closer to you. “Truth is, I had a sister. I already knew how to braid.” He didn’t look the least bit apologetic.

You scoffed, feigning indignation. “You think you’re smooth?” You said, amused.

“No,” Bucky answered, so close you could feel his breath on your lips. “I know I am.” His hand moved to cup your face as he leaned down farther, finally closing the distance between the two of you. The kiss was slow at first, hesitant—but after a moment, you worked up enough courage to deepen the kiss, only breaking away from him to sit up properly.

When the two of you finally pulled away, breathless, Bucky rested his forehead against yours. The sheet was still wrapped around the two of you, keeping you close, and the movie credits were just coming to an end. You giggled at the absurdity of the situation. Here you sat, in a collapsed blanket fort with the winter soldier, who still had your braids in his hair.

“What’s so funny?” He asked.

You shook your head. “Just…haven’t had a sleepover like this before.” He chuckled, gently lacing his fingers with yours. You yawned, slouching slightly. “It’s already around 4 in the morning,” you said, a sleepy smile overtaking your features. “Want to just stay down here?”

He untangled the two of you from the sheet, returning your grin. “Fine by me, doll.”

You settled down into the heap of pillows and blankets, sighing contentedly as Bucky’s arms wrapped around you. You fell asleep almost instantly.

“Where the hell are my Oreos?” Tony stomped out of the kitchen, eyeing the avengers in the lounge. “Which one of you took them?”

Wanda put her hands up defensively, the rest of the group simply shook their heads.

“Maybe it was Bucky. Or Y/N,” Sam suggested.

“Speaking of which,” Nat asked, “Where is Y/N? We were gonna go for a jog.”

Tony, who had begun sulking back to the kitchen, froze in front of the door to the conference room. “Oh my god. Cap, at least your friend is warming up to one of us.” He immediately took out his phone, snapping a few pictures. Confused, Steve made his way over to Tony, raising his eyebrows in disbelief when he saw the scene before him.

The other avengers crowded around to see you on a nest of blankets and pillows, curled up in Bucky’s arms, sleeping peacefully. There were snacks all around you and an old case for a horror movie. Bucky’s hair was still in braids.

“Bucky was good at charming the ladies,” Steve said, shaking his head.

Tony cupped his hands around his mouth, ready to shout something to the two of you, when Natasha cuffed him on the back of the head. “Just let them sleep,” she said. “We can humiliate them later. I don’t want to have to deal with both of them being grumpy.”

“Fine,” Tony groaned. “But next time, they need to get their own damn Oreos.”

It was a very rare occasion to have Clint’s whole family come to the tower. When they did venture out of their farm, the whole team made sure to accommodate them accordingly.

Which was why you and the other Avengers were strung up in a game of hide and seek. Cooper and Lila, his older kids, were more interested in picking up Mjolnir or sledding down the stairs in Steve’s shield, but Nathaniel was only a few years old and because no one wanted him to throw a tantrum, they agreed to do whatever he wanted.

Bucky was lucky enough to escape the game, excusing himself to a shower before Clint so much as stepped into the building. You tried to get away too, desperately craving a good nap before Fury sent you on another mission, but decided too late. The second you were about to slip out the door, the oldest Barton spawn ran straight for your legs and hopped on, clinging to your hips for dear life.

“Auntie Y/N! You’re gonna play with us, right? You gotta!” Cooper pressed his face into your side and you laughed, ruffling his hair and backing away from the door slightly. You may have been an Avenger, but having a 70 pound tumour on your leg would throw anyone off balance if they moved too much.

“How could I say no to that face? What’s the plan Mini Cooper?” You gently pried him off your leg and recovered with just enough time to catch Lila as she threw herself at you. Her hug knocked the wind right out of you and you gave Clint a look that said this one’s an Avenger for sure.

“Nate wants to play Hide and Seek.” Lila grumbled and you put on your game face.

“You two ready to make this fun?” Your grin alone was enough to convince them of your plan. They nodded frantically and you pulled them into a huddle to hatch your play.

“Lila, you’re gonna stick with Pietro. That’s the lost silver puppy over there, see him?” You pointed imperceptibly to Pietro, standing awkward in the corner while his sister spoke to Laura. Lila nodded. “He can’t be caught, so just hop on up for a piggyback and you’re sure to win.”

“Coop, you go with Steve.” Cooper looked over at the soldier and groaned, eliciting a grin from you. “I know he’s gonna be hard to hide with all that beef, but if you do get caught, he’ll sacrifice himself for you to run free.”

“Auntie Y/N, who are you teaming up with?” You spared them a mischievous smirk before standing up and dusting yourself off.

“A little thing you should know about me kids, I play to win.” To which they shrugged and ran over to their assigned partners. Pietro looked a little alarmed at the little girl trying to climb onto his back but Steve picked Cooper up and placed him on his shoulders like a champ.

Clint faced the wall and started counting down from 50. Initially, Tony had decided it was his duty to be the first Seeker, but Vision informed everyone that he would just use F.R.I.D.A.Y. to figure out where they all hid. Clint would be hard to fool, but it was better than flat out cheating.

You had gone on too many missions to think staying still was in your best interest, so whenever you heard Clint’s passing footsteps you made sure to slink away from your current spot to find another. This was the perfect plan, until Nathaniel was caught and decided he would be Assistant Seeker.

You had thought, wrongfully, that none of the Barton gang would betray you, but apparently he was too young to get the memo. Once he had hunted you down, he trailed behind you like a cute, chubby-cheeked hounddog. And once you were cornered in the first unlocked bedroom you could find, Nathaniel ignored your mouthing traitor and started to shout.

“Daddy!” And he continued to blabber on with the sort of rounded drawl only a four year old could have despite your flailing arms and wide eyes.

You really couldn’t have picked a worse room to get caught in, there were next to no hiding spaces aside from under the bed, and there was no way you could fit inside the vent. The only option you had was to run to the attached bathroom and pray the door wasn’t locked. So you did.

And by some miracle it was unlocked. And by another miracle Bucky was in there, wearing nothing but a white towel that wrapped snugly (and lowly, very very lowly) around his hips.

You were still trying to slow your racing heart from just barely closing the door in time to avoid Clint, but now you had a whole new reason for the rapid beat.

Because Bucky, well he looked ripped with all of his combat gear on. Now all he was wearing was steam and the little trickles of water his hair allowed to fall over his skin, and he looked hunkier than ever. It was a good thing you were leaning against the door, too, because there was no way you could stand up all on your own.

“Oh.” You knew you should apologize or toss out your usual witty remark but c'mon, how could anyone be witty when Bucky’s abs were on full display?

“Hi to you too sweetcheeks. Enjoying the view?” He had only sent you a curious gaze before going back to brushing his teeth.

The real question was how could you say yes without making it sound like yes?

“Nope.” Not like that. Bucky spit out his toothpaste and put his toothbrush back before walking over to the door you were guarding.

“Really? ‘Cause your jaw on the floor says something else.” You were sure it did.

“Do you expect me to believe if you’d been the one walking in on me after a shower, you wouldn’t be a little bothered?” There it was, that nervous confidence Bucky brewed in you. He was not helping, however, when he continued to walk towards you. At this point his hand was against the wooden door to your left and he kept getting closer and closer.

Too close for your heartbeat to be kept a secret, surely.

“Are you bothered Y/N?” It was a breath, an airy growl. He was teasing you in the way a cloud teased rain and it wasn’t fair at all.

“Why don’t you tell me.” Your voice was just as low, and you watched Bucky’s ocean hues glide down to your lips for a moment. You were pressed so far into the door you thought you’d leave a dent, and your skin was burning enough to set fire to the wooden support. Bucky’s minty breath was the only oxygen you could get and the few inches between you was getting smaller and smaller.

And then the door opened and you very literally crashed to the floor, bombarded with cold air and Clint’s laugh and Bucky’s quickly recovered serious face. Like you weren’t a millisecond away from kissing, like there wasn’t anything more than careless flirting beneath your careless flirting.

“At least tell me I’m the last one.” You dropped your head onto the wooden floor and covered your face, trying to rub away the blush you were definitely sporting. Nathaniel hopped up on your stomach and giggled enthusiastically at your downfall.

“Can’t reach Pietro and Lila.” Clint’s grin refused to falter as he took in the scandalous picture Bucky’s nearly naked stature painted. “Sorry for interrupting. Let’s go Nate, there’s too much tension in this room for it to be PG.” Nathaniel crawled off your stomach and trampled after his dad.

So much for that fantasy.

“Nat I swear to god if you accuse me of dating Bucky one more time I will tie you to a boulder and drop you into the ocean.” Your redheaded friend was looking gorgeous as ever behind the bar she usually tended during these parties, but it didn’t matter how nice she looked, she was still getting on your nerves.

Not that you didn’t enjoy the prospect of dating Bucky, he was a very dateable guy. And the thought of having him all to yourself was enough to fuel your daydreams for months, but there was no point in getting your hopes up for something that would never happen. Sure, you almost kissed, but that was in the heat of the moment. The second Clint had walked away it was like Bucky had never been that close in the first place.

“Prove it then. I don’t believe in anything I can’t see with my own eyes.” You were disgruntled enough to do it, though you had no idea what you were going to do until you stomped through the finely-dressed crowd and stepped right up to Bucky.

He looked great too, straight out of an expensive painting or some sort of F Scott Fitzgerald novel with his hair slicked back and a polite smile settled on his lips. You gave him just enough time to recognize you before taking a fist full of his lapels and dragging him down to meet your lips.

The plan had been to kiss him a little, pull away, and stride your way back to Nat. You weren’t quite sure how that was gonna stop her from calling out your feelings, but no one said you were great at making plans.

Regardless, that’s not how it went down. Your lips met and it was like jumping into a lake on the hottest day of the year. Bucky didn’t even bother to resist, he only twisted his body so he could face you, tangled a hand in your cascading hair, and kissed you like you were sure he’d never kissed anyone before.

“What took you so long?” He panted breathlessly when you separated, his palm pulling your jaw carefully closer and his forehead resting against yours. Everyone was staring but it didn’t feel all that important right then - Bucky’s endless blue eyes made sure of that.

“Me? Excuse you Mr. Old Fashioned, I thought the guy was supposed to make the first move.” Your tone was much steadier than your pulse seemed to merit, especially with the smirk Bucky was awarding you.

“What do you think I was doing in that bathroom before we were interrupted?” His tone was dangerous at this distance, and you loved it.

“I think if you wanted it enough you’d have kissed me regardless of the door’s position.” You could play at that game too, you could smile just as wicked and make his blood boil just as hot.

“My bad. Mind if I make it up to you now?” Bucky’s arm wound around your waist and pulled you closer, ignoring the wolf whistles and the get some’s from his friends.  When you shook your head he dipped back down and consumed you again, this time savouring every detail of your lips.

Okay so maybe Nat was right, but that wasn’t gonna stop you from throwing her overboard if she kept teasing you.

Broken Heart- A Peter Parker Imagine

Anonymous Requested: Can you write one where Peter comes to YN’s really hurt and she has to patch him up and make sure he’s safe and no in anymore pain, a few weeks after he tells her he’s Spider-Man and he tries to break up with her but she’s like, No im kinda in love with you, and maybe they end up sleeping together or something? (Doesn’t have to be sexual- preferably not lol)

Broken Heart

A rapid knock at your window awoke you from your slumber. You were so close with Peter that you could tell the difference between his knocks based off of his moods. His usual knock was very playful, but this rapid succession knock let you know that whatever it was was an absolute emergency. You looked over at your clock and it read 2:06 in the morning. What could Peter have done at 2 in the morning? You crawled out of bed and opened up the window, Peter falling in, quite literally. You gasped as you could see your carpet build up blood from Peter.

You rushed over to him, and rolled him over. He winced in pain as he held his arm which had a long cut running down it. “Peter, what happened?” you asked, as you ran to get towels. You applied pressure to the wound and looked up at him to see him looking in concentration. “I got in a really bad biking accident”. You knew that this was a lie because of how long it took for him to come up with that. You let it slide however because he was in enough pain as it was. You bandaged him up and hugged him tightly, thankful that he was ok. “I’m glad you are ok,” you whispered against his chest. “Yeah, me too,” his mind wandering to the truth.

The truth came a few weeks later. You had started to grow distant and Peter knew it was because you felt that he wasn’t being truthful. He knew it was time to come clean. He asked if he could come over to your house, which was unusual since he always just came over unannounced, which is what you liked about him. You knew that something was going to happen, you just didn’t know what. He came in through the window as always, but the look on his face told a different story from the usual face Peter had. “Peter, what’s wrong?” you asked, knowing that he was upset. He just told you to sit down on the bed next time. You sat next to him and slipped your arm through his, but he just slid out of your touch. “[Y/N], I need to be really honest with you,” was all he was able to say. He started to fidget with his hands, which was something he did when he was nervous.

After a few seconds of silence, Peter turned to face you. “There’s no lighter way to put it: I’m Spiderman. I was bit by a radioactive spider and I now try and protect the city. That’s why I came to your house the other week, I had been fighting someone and I got hurt. I’m so sorry”. You gave him a confused look. “Why are you sorry?” He stared in your eyes for a second, almost contemplating his next words when he said, “Because I’m breaking up with you”.

You shook your head and wiped away your tears. “No, you can’t break up with me”. He gave you an estranged look and asked “What do you mean?” You gave him a serious look and said “Because I’m in love with you”. You two had never said those words before, so it took Peter aback for a moment. “[Y/N], I love you too, but I’m doing what’s best for you”. You knew he meant no harm but his words brought rage in you. “You’re doing what’s best for me? If you were doing what’s best for me, you’d ask me. I love you and you love me, you don’t have to worry about keeping me safe. Staying together is what we should do. You can’t fight with a broken heart,” you held onto Peter as if your life depended on it. He held onto you back after a moment, knowing you were right.

Thank you so much for being so supportive! I’m leaving Florida in a few days, so I’ll be much more active! Thank you for reading and I hope you enjoyed!

Lakeside picnic

Note: Steve surprises you with a picnic by the lakeside. When you’ve eaten, Steve thinks it’s a good idea to go swimming, but you soon have to tell him you can’t because you don’t know how do swim.

Lakeside Picnic

“I could lie here forever with you,” Steve mumbled into the side of your neck.

You giggled as his breath tickled your skin, “Oh, I wish we could, Steve,” You rolled over onto your stomach and propped yourself up on your elbows, “But remember the last time we got home late? I am not sitting through another one of Sam’s lectures about being ‘safe’?”

Steve laughed as he stood “You’re right, sweetheart,” He reached out his hand to you, “But there’s one more thing I need to do before we go. Are your pockets empty?”

You raised your eyebrow, “Yes… Why?” You answered as you took his hand to get up. Instead of responding, Steve lifted you off the ground and threw you over his shoulder in one swift motion.

You screamed at the sudden movement, “Put me down Rogers!”

You felt Steve’s chest rumble as he laughed, “Relax, Y/N, I won’t drop you,” He said as he moved away from the picnic rug, “…Yet,” You could imagine the grin on his face as he said it.

Your eyes widened as you neared the lake and you realised what he was about to do, “No, Steve! I can’t–”

Before you could finish, you felt yourself and Steve tumbling into the water, making a loud splash.

You could feel as you separated from Steve under the water, reaching you arms out desperately to try and grab him while trying to push yourself up to the surface.

Steve’s arms finally found their way around your torso to lift you up above the water you were gasping for air.

“Y/N? Y/N, breathe,” Steve said, still holding onto you as you both floated in the water. He emphasised his breathing in hopes that you would follow along, and it started to work as you felt your heart rate slowing back to a normal pace.

You finally caught you breath back enough for you to speak, “I’m sorry, Steve, I’m just… Not comfortable in the water.”

Steve laughed, “I get it, going in fully clothed isn’t the comfiest thing to swim in, right?” He looked up at you, “Y/N?”

You lowered your head, shaking slightly as you began to sob. Steve gently stroked your cheek, beckoning you to look up at him. But you kept your gaze firmly planted downwards. He kept his hand securely on your arm the entire time, “What’s wrong, sweetheart?”

You shook your head.

“You can tell me anything, Y/N. You know that.”

You finally looked up at him, “I… I can’t swim, Steve,” You said finally, feeling embarrassed, “I didn’t want you to think I was pathetic.”

Steve was silent for a moment before he lifted your chin and dried your tears away, “Come here,” He said, pulling you closer to him as he gently lead you both back to the grass.

He ran quickly to fetch a towel from the picnic basket and wrapped it around you before gesturing for you to sit on the grassy bank.

Steve draped his arm around your shoulder, “I’m sorry I dragged you into there, Y/N. If I knew how much danger I was putting you–”

“It’s not your fault, Steve. Really,” You said, “I just… I didn’t want you to think anything less of me for knowing that I can’t even swim.”

“Hey, it’s not easy,” He smiled, “And I would never think of you differently over something like that,” He waved his hand, “You’re still my best girl, Y/N,” He leaned down and kissed your forehead.

“I don’t think that towel is doing you much good though,” He observed. You looked down and saw you were still drenched.

“It’s fine, I’ll just have to air dry,” You smiled.

“Or we could go back in the water?” A playful grin appeared on his face.

“But Steve–”

“It’ll be fine, Y/N. I’ll give you a piggy back,” He winked as he took your hand and moved back towards the lake.

Steve x reader

Warnings: None

Word count: 482

A.n: This is very short and I just felt like  writing something, I hope you enjoy.

“Don’t you think I’ve tried!” You yelled at Steve and he just stayed silent “I’ve tried so hard to get you out my head.”

“I’m sorry.” He mumbled.

“You’re sorry?”You threw your hands up “You can’t just tell me that you love me and walk out of my life.”

“I didn-’

“What? You didn’t mean it? You didn’t mean to break my heart? So what was your plan Steven?”All you could do was yell questions, not even caring that the rest of the avengers could hear you.

“I’m truly am sorry Y/n, I was going to stay and we could of lived a happy life.” He tried to get closer to you but you backed up.

“But you didn’t Steve, you just got up and left.” You paced back and forth “For god sakes Steven you’re married and having a kid.”

“I didn’t mean for it to go this far.” He looked down at the floor.

“What do you mean? What do you mean, that you don’t want marry Sharon and have her kids.”

“I didn’t think I’d fall for her, let alone marry her and have her kid.” You felt your eyes start to swell with tears.

“I’m so sorry I hurt you Y/n, let me make it up to you.” He kept on trying to get closer but you kept backing away.

“You want to make it up to me?” You yelled now louder than you’ve been screaming for the last hour.”How exactly are you going to make it up to me? You left me after you told me that you love me and then you just got up and left to the other side of the world.”

“What do you want me to do Y/n I’m in love with a woman that’s not my wife.” He finally yelled loud enough for anyone to hear.

“W-what?’ You choked out, you walked over to sit in the chair since you were starting to feel light headed.

“I love you Y/n so much and I made a mistake for leaving you, I wish I could take it all back but I can’t, all I could do is beg.” He sat in the chair in front of you.

“Yeah all you could do is beg because I’m not going to forgive you let alone reck the relationship you have with Sharon.” You stood up and walked over to the door “You have to go.”

“But I have so much to sa-”

“Just go.” You told him once again.

And then just like that he left, out of your life once again.

You leaned against the door and slid down to the floor, you just started to bawl your eyes out not caring who would hear, because the man that you love just told you that he loved you back and you couldn’t do anything about it.
