A/N: I GOT SO CARRIED AWAY, I COULDN’T STOP MYSELF. ENJOY NONNIE!
The teamwere huddled under a slab of ground propped against the side of a building-Thor’s hand was laying flat against it to keep it stable. Everyone was pantingwith what might as well have been buckets of sweat littering every part oftheir skin. Uniforms were torn, skin was bleeding and you were struggling tohold yourself together. It seemed impossible for this to become a successfulmission.
Within25 minutes you had witnessed more suffering and death than ever before, andmost of the team were the same, leaving most of you mentally exhausted. Yet themission was far from done. Hydra had ambushed you with the biggest and toughestarmy you’d possibly fought or would ever fight. There was not enough ofanything- not enough bullets, not enough time, and not enough of the good guys. And you were tired, tired in every way, your head was lolling on your shouldersand your grip on the gun strapped to your hip was loosening.
“We’refar from done here, Clint, I’m going to need you and Stark to get the rest ofthe civilians out of the area-“
“Stevethis is a dead end, we’re completely outnumbered in all aspects,” Clint sighed, resting his head on his knees. Nat was pushed against his shoulder.
“We can’tgive up now, we can do this,” Steve pushed out the words, his expressions and bodysaying the complete opposite to what you were hearing.
“GodSteve, look at us, we’re done,” Clint countered.
“Fine.Thor and I can take this one, get back on the plane and if I tell you to leaveyou do it. Got it?” Steve sighed, getting to his feet along with everyone else.He glanced down at you who was still sitting and held his palms out to you.Your shaking hands grabbed his and he hoisted you to your boot clad feet. Herustled up a small smile and began running out from the makeshift shelter, Thorfollowing in his footsteps.
Wandastumbled over to you, linking her arm around yours. Her head rested on yourbruised shoulder as you shook your head softly. “I can’t let him go out thereon his own, Maximoff.”
Shelifted her head and said, “Look, he’s a supersoldier he’s got this, he’ll beback in no time and you can finally go on that date you’ve been putting off.”
Youfreed your arm from your grip and bent down to grab the knife sitting on hercalf. You snapped up quickly and backed away from her. “Please just go to theplane.”
Wandareached out for you but you had already begun sprinting off towards the two menthrowing their weapons sloppily. You stood next to Steve who was giving ordersto Thor and asked what you could help with.
“Y/N,you can stay on the grou-“ Steve began, but stopped when the realisation hithim, “What the hell are you doing here?”
“I’m notletting us find another reason not to go on our date,” You smiled as youflipped around the knife in your hand. Steve grinned at you and you ran forwardand began slicing at the hydra soldiers who came near you.
“Y/L/N,have you lost your damn mind?” Steve laughed gently through the earpiece.
“Blame yourself, Rogers”
Youwouldn’t admit it, but you were struggling against the many fighters throwingthemselves at you with deadly weapons all aiming towards you. In particular, you werehaving a heated battle with one of the strongest soldiers there. He had a largesilver blade in one hand and a sleek black gun in the other, with many moreweapons strapped to his back. Dodging constantly, you tried to aim at his torsobut you seemed to hit air every time.
Thefight seemed to last hours but it was mere minutes until your footing startedgetting messy and all sense of hand-eye coordination was gone. Yet, the Hydraagent seemed to be feeding off of your mistakes and he was slowly overpoweringyou. His blade sliced your palm slightly as you tried to dodge his weapon.Worriedly, you looked over to Steve who was entangled in a fight himself and Thorwas knocking multiple agents out with one wave of his hammer. You were alone.
As yourfeet stumbled over one another you offered a blow to the agent and successfullycut through the flesh on his thigh. He yelped out in pain but quickly recoveredby snatching your only weapon from your hands. Evidently, he was smirking atyou as moved closer, your weapon now comfortably sitting in his hand. His legwacked out and flipped you onto your back. The small knife that belonged toWanda was pressed roughly to your neck and your hands were being held tightlyto the ground.
Youclosed your eyes as you waited for the Hydra agent to end the fight, andfocused on the throbbing in your palm to remember that you were alive. But thecold was lifted from your neck. You opened your eyes to the agent who wasstaring at the blade in his hands. Though you weren’t worried, you saw Steverunning behind the man in black, determination covering his face. All yourenergy was concentrated on trying to break free, though you were focused onSteve and how fast he was running. Steve was going to save you. You knew it.
Then, you felt it. The sharp metal being pushed into your abdomen. It was as if youcould feel it yet you couldn’t feel anything. No pain was there as the Hydraagent pulled it away from your body. If it wasn’t for seeing the crimson liquidspilling out, then you would believe you hadn’t actually been stabbed. In themoment you didn’t really believe it. You just believed that Steve was coming tofree you from the grips of the yellow toothed man that resembled a human sizedrat.
And hedid. He did get the man off of you. But he couldn’t save you from the gapinghole that was staining your clothes red.
“Y/N,stay with me, there’s someone coming to help you” Steve gasped. The most horrificlook was etched onto his features and his eyes appeared to be clouding over.
Youreached your hand up to his cheek. It was hot and damp from sweat, and now whatseemed to be salty tears trickling down them. Swiping your thumb under hiseyes, you collected a droplet on the pad of your thumb and smiled, “I totallyhad him on the ropes. I wore him out for you.”
Stevelet out a pained laugh, his right hand applying as much pressure as he could toyour wound. “Does it hurt?” He stupidly asked.
“Nah, Ifeel peachy.” You grinned, still wiping the small trail of tears. “And I also-“
Breathingwas becoming harder no matter how deeply you were trying to breathe. You triedyour damn hardest to keep your eyes open but fighting with the agent and alsofighting to breathe, had worn you out completely. You heaved your chest in hopethat it would stop the hot sensation in your stomach stop but nothing wouldmake it disappear, not even the high amount of pressure Steve was applying.
“What isit?” Steve asked, his free hand was brushing the stray pieces of hair from yourface.
The blueof his eyes seemed to be brighter than before, though you put it down to thelack of oxygen that was blurring your vision. “I’m not terrified of dying,Steve.”
Steveshook his head vigorously, “Don’t say things like that, Bruce and Tony are ontheir way with Dr. Cho.”
Smilingat him you reached up to twirl the blonde strands of his hair between yourfingers, “But-“ Your eyes closed for a moment as you whispered, “I think I’m inlove with you and I’m terrified.”
Steveshook you gently, your eyes flickered open to see him crying and grinning- ifanyone saw him they’d think he was a madman. “So you’re terrified of loving me,but not of dying?”
“Withouta doubt.”
Hediverted his attention to your wound, the blood seemed to be pouring out of it,no matter how much pressure he was applying. His head whipped around in searchof Bruce and Tony that said they’d be there straight away and that you’d befine.
“Theyshould be here a-“ Steve started, but as he turned around he noticed you’dclosed your eyes again and he knew that no matter what you had to stay awake. ““You need to wake up because Ican’t do this without you.”
“You’re not getting rid of me that easily, Rogers.”
Summary: Bucky catches the reader singing in the kitchen.
Word Count: 700ish
Warnings: a few swears?
(M/f/n) = male friend’s name
—————————————-
You and Bucky shared a floor in the tower and were quite close. He’d come home late from a mission yesterday so you assumed he’d be sleeping in late. So you took the opportunity to bake him a bunch of cakes and biscuits.
During your baking, you FaceTimed one of your friends (m/f/n) and you played cheesy love songs which the two of you were singing along to.
Bucky walked down the hallway very early on in the playlist, while you were singing loudly to “Careless Whisper” by George Michael. He’d decided to stay quiet and hidden to see what you were up to without scaring you.
He’d managed to not be caught for at least half an hour, listening to terrible renditions of songs like “Every Breath You Take” or “I Don’t Want To Miss A Thing” and he’d only just managed to stifle his laughter at your ridiculous singing and dancing to “Take My Breath Away” from the Top Gun film you’d made him watch a few weeks back.
About halfway through “I’ll Make Love To You” you pointed at your iPhone to your friend as you sang the chorus. Bucky craned his neck to see what you were pointing at and his heart dropped when he saw you’d been FaceTiming a guy this whole time, and that all those songs were probably aimed at him.
He sighed as he began to walk away and his disappointment made his presence known to you, “Bucky! You’re awake!” You ran up and hugged him and he forced a smile.
“Hey, what’s with the fake smile mister?” You could see right through him.
“I’m just tired from yesterday, (y/n), I’m alright.”
“Well that’s why I made you all this!” You spread out your arms and gestured to all the cakes and cookies that were cooling on the counter.
“Ah thanks (y/n).” He hugged you.
“You don’t seem very surprised about it.” You raised an eyebrow.
“Well-uh… I may have been watching you singing and dancing for a while now.” He said with a small smile - genuine this time.
Your jaw dropped, “Ah fuck, how long exactly?” You asked, hoping for a good reply.
He thought for a second before replying, “Umm, the first song I remember was George Michael.”
You grabbed your laptop and looked at the playlist. “Shit, that was like 40 minutes ago. Oh god this is embarrassing.” You put your face in your hands before a voice spoke up, “I’m still here you know.”
“Oh shit, sorry (m/f/n). I’ll talk to you later okay, I need to gather up my dignity. I’m never gonna dance again.” And you mentally cursed your choice of words when you heard Bucky murmur ‘my guilty feet have got no rhythm’.
“Alright, no worries, speak later.” He spoke and you hung up.
“Who’s that?” Bucky asked, expecting the worst.
“Oh that’s just my friend from my old work. Cheesy love songs are kinda our thing.” You smiled to yourself and then looked up at Bucky, who looked a lot happier than before.
“What’s perked you up all of a sudde-?” You asked before being cut off by his lips on yours.
You broke apart for air. “I thought he was your boyfriend and that’s why you were singing those songs.”
“God no, we’re just really close friends.” You said through giggles.
“Good.” Bucky smiled before kissing you again before an obnoxious beeping sounded in the room.
“Oh fuck, the gingerbread is burning.” You ran to the oven to take them out and put them on a cooling rack.
You sauntered back over to Bucky, “where were we?” And you began to kiss again.
“Ah yes! Food! Thanks for telling me FRIDAY!” You pulled apart as Tony practically shrieked as he entered the kitchen and went to pick up a gingerbread before dropping it and squealing at the heat of it.
“Hands off Tony! They’re for Bucky.” You snapped and he stepped back.
“What, all of it?” He asked with puppy dog eyes.
“Yep. Now get lost.”
“But (y/n).” He whined, drawling out your name.
“If I let you take a rack of cookies, will you leave us alone for a little while.” Bucky offered.
“Yes! Definitely! Wait, why do you wanna be left alo- oh gross!” He looked in disgust and picked up a rack and sprinted off.
You both giggled and carried on with no more interruptions.
Warming up (agent carter)
So, @multifan-im-doomed asked for this, and I’m so glad you did because oh my god, this was so fun to write. I tagged it onto the end of a Bucky x Reader requested by @vastudent3 way back when, and it turned out pretty good. I hope you like it to. Enjoy, my darlings!
Can I request one in which the reader has some kind of spiritual abilities that enables her to communicate with spirits (or even go to the spirits world) and she helped Steve meet Peggy but she ended up meeting her dead ex boyfriend as well?
Part 2
“What happened?”
Bucky was all of a dither. He didn’t know how to respond. He was in shock. “I- I- I don’t know. It was- Something happened. I- I- I-” “Mr Barnes,” Helen Cho commanded, “I’m going to need you to calm down. I cannot help your girlfriend unless you tell me what happened.”
The gurney sailed through the corridors with ease, Dr Cho and her medical staff either side. Bucky also accompanied them and Steve jogged just behind. Both men looked terrified.
Dr Cho had been informed that she would be dealing with Bucky’s girlfriend – but it looked nothing like you. Instead, the stretcher carried a grey statue. Yet somehow ‘statue’ seemed to be the wrong word. The structure looked fragile, twisted, and thin, like papier mâché mixed with gravel. On the bright side, at least it resembled a person. Your arm – presumably trapped within the stony cocoon – reached up into the sky, frozen where you had reached out for help.
“It… It was a bomb.” “A bomb?” Cho asked. She pulled the stretcher towards her as they turned a corner. “Yes. And no. It was a bomb, but not like a bomb I’ve ever seen.”
“Are you sure?” “It was…” Bucky strained himself remembering the detail, “blue, like a crystal. But it let off this… this stuff. This mist.”
Nobody saw Steve halting in his tracks.

Hey! I love your blog! Can you maybe do a steve x reader based on the song my silver lining from first aid kit? maybe were she just had enough and want to see other things or something like that? thank you so much ♥
Words: 755
Pairing: Steve Rogers x Reader
Warnings: There’s not much angst here, there’s nothing to worry about, really.
Author notes: (Y/N) is your name, (Y/L/N) is your last name. Here is the song, I know I didn’t put the lyrics to it, but I couldn’t put the plot into them, so I just wrote something. Sorry for taking so long, I was really clueless on how to write it. @ilovebeingjoyful loves Steve so I’m tagging her :)
“Steve, baby…” You said with a guilty look in your face “I may have done the most reckless thing in the world…” You bit your lower lip while you kept your hands behind you because you had something to hide. “Man, this was not my idea” Sam defended himself with his hands up to his chest “She thought of it all along… but I may have taken her to the place” “Please don’t tell me you got a tattoo” Steve actually looked like an old dad reading that newspaper on the couch “(Y/N), don’t tell me you got a tattoo” “I guess I’m gonna leave you two alone” Sam kissed your temple and hurried to get out. Steve had been your boyfriend for a while now; it wasn’t that long of a while but you still felt like it was forever. You loved him, you really did, but he was just so boring it killed you. You were not the adventurous type either, but you loved to go out and do some new things. Fortunately, Steve had the most outrageous group of friends that loved to do crazy shit. This time it was Sam Wilson’s turn to join you in one of the craziness of yours. From the first time you met each other, you became really close; he was like a brother to you because he loved to do unplanned stuff and he could hear you out whenever you had those moments in which Steve could not get any more boring. “(Y/N) (Y/L/N) what did you get?” Steve folded the paper and left it next to him. “Runes” You said, proudly showing your sore wrists that just had their share of ink. “And they mean?” He rose his blonde eyebrows. “This one is protection” You showed your right one and he examined it very closely; he was only missing the glass to look like a dad “And this one is movement” You showed him, trying to give him the hints “Sammy also got a tattoo, so we kinda had besties tattoos” “I mean, they look pretty but…” “It was either this or my constellation on my back” You pointed out “But you said it looked pretty to it doesn’t matter” You smiled widely and walked to the bedroom. The next few days, between taking care of your new tattoos and going out with the female Avengers, you decided to give Steve the talk. You couldn’t bear the boredom of our life anymore. You needed to explore the world, and not be locked up in your apartment because he was afraid of you getting hurt or something of the sort. You had packed your stuff already and left the bags on the living room. You had called Sam earlier that day of your farewell so he could pick you up and accept you back in his place (you two lived together before you went to live with Steve). You drank at least three cups of coffee before Steve arrived and the caffeine was getting into your system, but when he finally appeared through the door and saw the bags, he asked for an explanation immediately. “Steve, I’m gonna leave you” You said bluntly; it was not the way you wanted to break down things to him “I can’t do this anymore… I feel like I’m stuck here with you” Your caffeine façade slowly started to disappear “I… I love you so much, but I can’t bear that the only thing that we do is cuddle and have sex. We don’t even try new stuff at sex! I have asked you a hundred times to dress up or getting tied up or whatever but you keep saying no” You bit your lip “I can’t live like this…” “You’re leaving me because I’m boring?” He asked, still not really getting the idea. “I’m leaving you because I’m bored… I can’t believe that to do something fun and different I had to go to a shooting range with Natasha and Maria… Steve, I do love you because you are great… But this is unbearable” He sighed, knowing that you were right and he hadn’t done anything to keep the fire alive “I’ll be with Sam just so you know… Think about it and think if you don’t want to lose me” You leaned forward to kiss his lips one last time. It broke your heart to do it, but eventually it’ll be for the best to see if Steve was actually willing to change his ways for you.
New Interview: #HayleyAtwell at Baltimore Comic Con 2016
ABC2: Were you a comic book fan growing up?
Atwell: I had no idea what a comic book was until I was in late teens, and that was kind of helpful because it meant that I hadn’t put any added pressure on myself to try and live up to something. There wasn’t much about Peggy Carter that we discovered in the comics that I couldn’t create myself, and I felt that that was easier than having to live up to something that was so loved. You’re immediately at such a higher place to fall from if the world already has a preconception of what your character should be.
ABC2: There’s a group currently petitioning to have Agent Carter revived on ABC. How does it feel having such a strong fan base committed to your work?
Atwell: I set out to do work that I enjoy and that interests me, and then having a group of people who support that—even when you’re going in a different direction—they’re still saying, come join this body again. That’s really lovely. To think that Peggy’s taken off with people and that she’s someone lots of people relate to or want to see more of. I’m definitely a part of that gang.
ABC2: What does it mean for you to participate in comic book gatherings, and see your fans face-to-face?
Atwell: These conventions give me an opportunity to actually interact with the fans and see who’s been staring at me from the comfort of their own homes for so many years. Just to be able to hear the impact that the character and the show had in their lives, it’s really humbling and very moving. Especially young girls and boys who see Peggy as a force for good, and that inspires them. A lot of people have quotes of “I know my value, anyone else’s opinion doesn’t really matter,” that’s become her catchphrase, and seeing people with tattoos or pieces of jewelry with it engraved extends it far beyond just me as an actor turning up to do my job every day. This is a very humbling wake up to realizing that some people have really taken her into her hearts, and that’s a wonderful thing.
ABC2: What are you most looking forward to at Baltimore Comic-Con?
Atwell: I’d love to see some people dressed as Peggy Carter. There have been some men in the past at conventions dressed as Peggy Carter, and I’ve been very jealous because they look better in a skirt than I do. To see that she still lives in other people’s worlds, it makes me have hope that she might come back some day.
ABC2: Do you have a dream superpower?
Atwell: Yes. The ability to eat what I want without consequence.
