source Reddit. Update edit. Rotating Switch System used on steep gradient tracks like the Pilatus Railway in Switzerland. Cog trains usually travel on this steep railway using a Locher Rack System and trains only travel the speed of 9 kmh uphill and 10 kmh downhill. Rotating Switch System allows for the crossing of trains to traverse their passage. Thank you once again @niftyandinteresting stuff for your great research.
