°CJ slipped over to the matress again where Jim was. He checked the injury on his head, bleeding long stopped but a nasty bruise and the evidence of the cut still there.°

°Carefully, he pulled up Jim's shirt and checked his sides, winceing as the same side that had the head injury had extensivene bruising on it too despite the healing help from @number1120. He really hoped nothing in there was broken. He pulled out his phone and texted Doc as much.°

Jims, hii!! How long ago did you start your jobs? I guess you're in it for a while now

°CJ waves and smiles at you°

"Hi there! And yes, we've been at our current jobs for a while now- I'd say around four years? Feels like both forever and yet like we've only just begun! In a good way though, rarely a dull moment in the world we live in right Jim?"

°a thumbs up and a nod°

*Surprise flickers in the eyes of the newscaster, but after a beat, he cracks a small smile over his cup. Similar surprise appears on the twins, but both end up just smiling more, though there's slight bemusement from CJ.*

"Oh- thanks! Most people just find it confusing. You want any coffee or something?"

°Tea is also an option if you want any.°

*RJ waves with a hand not occupied by a book.*

*NJ gives a wave from the kitchen.*

°*there’s the sounds of several locks being undone before the door opens. He’s there, and looking more than a little exhausted* Doc? Yeah come in he is in the living room- *he moves to leave a clear path, walking over to the matress on the floor*°

*even though CJ went in this strange portal, the kitten follows happily. he still drags the cracker box*

°You are just full of determination little guy. He smiles a little at them. The kitten was like a living cat motivational poster with their crackers and sweetness. He keeps walking, the air was getting heavier.°

°Oh **** it worked°

*RJ takes a deep breath*

*...Sirens aren't uncommon. Statistically speaking, more people die of car crashes in a year in Texas alone than die of shark attacks around the world. Jim told him that. RJ wonders if he's going to die of a shark attack, then, since he's pretty sure he's still alive. Things are still spinning, and his head feels like it was split open, (and is that a ringing sound?) but he's alive. The car? Maybe not as much, but that's not the major thing on his mind. He knows he needs to get out, but at the same time moving sounds like a really horrible idea.*

*Maybe if he closed his eyes for a second, he knows he shouldn't but... he was tired anyway.. heh, tired, car tires...*

*RJ's eyes slid shut, the sounds of sirens echoes, and he is alone.*
