I just wanted to make a post for anyone starting college/university at an older age.

I'm 24 and most of my classmates are fresh out of high school, which is great for them!

But I just wanted to say that it's never too late, for anyone. You can still work to improve your future even if you feel like a late starter.

Put yourself out there! Do it for you! Work towards your goals!

Desk layout...even though it won't stay like this for long!

No class on Fridays! But I still have a lot of work to do today. Chapters to read and essays to write.

But first, I'm going to ease into it with my current fun read: The Sixth Extinction by Elizabeth Kolbert. Accompanying me is my baby girl Dill and a chai coffee in my awesome Lord of the Flies mug.

Today's gonna be good!

Six and a half hours later and my essay is finished! Don't really like the flow of the last two paragraphs, but it is only the rough draft. Ready for peer review tomorrow!

And now to reward my self....with more writing haha. But I'll be working towards one if my own fictions, so it is its own reward.

Got my next essay all outlined and (kinda) ready to go. I have to have it finished by tomorrow, but all I really want to do is decorate for Halloween!

Book haul!

The other day, my brother and I went to lunch on Main Street, and I absolutely had to stop at my favorite local bookstore.

Where I found these:

I already tore through Invitation to Anthropology, and I absolutely cannot wait to read The Human Odyssey!

I also went to the college bookstore and got 3/4 of my textbooks for the semester.

Needless to say, I am excited to dive into these babies.
