I Thought I Would Share A Book For Some Of Those Who Would Be Interested, Especially Those Studying Or

Lissa is an ethnography in graphic novel format. It is a powerful story set in the Egyptian Revolution of 2011. It looks at politics, culture differences and similarities, and how American and Egyptian cultures look at and deal with death and disease.

That's all I'm going to say because I dont want to ruin it for anyone interested.

And, today in my Cultural Anthropology class, we did a Skype Q&A with one of the authors, Professor Hamdy, where the class got to asks questions about this book. It was an amazing experience, she had so much information to share and you could just feel her passion!

Day 03/100

finally finished the rough draft for my first English essay of the semester. Four hours well spent...now to rest my little fingers.

I also feel like doing the 100 days of productivity is going to make me more accountable for my homework.

The semester is already halfway through!

How did this happen?!

In celebration I will be spending my morning reading Sapiens by Yuval Noah Harari and working on my first honors essay for English.

Eight more weeks to go!

Today I learned:

So the University that I am attending, is one of only two universities in the US that has a forensic research institute AKA body farm

And apparently the institute takes on student volunteers who are waiting to meet requirements for internships!

I could not be more ecstatic at this possibility

Studyblr list

Hi everyone

I would like to make a lists of beginning/small studyblrs.  Reblog this post with the tag #listofsmallstudyblrs if you want to be a part of the list. Add in the tag what your general field is (like STEM or langblr etc) I’m only going to make it if there is enough respons because its no use if there are 5 of them.

Six and a half hours later and my essay is finished! Don't really like the flow of the last two paragraphs, but it is only the rough draft. Ready for peer review tomorrow!

And now to reward my self....with more writing haha. But I'll be working towards one if my own fictions, so it is its own reward.

Today I submitted my project proposal for my Anthropology ethnography.

It wasn't what I wanted to do originally, but I am still looking forward to taking this extra little step.
