I think we need to appreciate this part of Brennan Lee Mulligan's WIRED interview a lot more:
"The evangelical right in this country needs to manufacture outrage to hold onto its voting block. [The satanic panic about DnD] was arbitrary, as the targets of their outrage always are. Fight the power."

Tonight is the first new moon of the lunisolar calendar, a time for new beginnings. The moon plays an important role in our world’s ocean—from controlling the tides, to playing conductor in the orchestra of marine life cycles.
Moon jellies—named simply for their lunar satel-likeness—are delightfully drifting reminders of our nearest sea-lestial body. We hope that tonight you can find time to reflect in the shadow of the new moon and shellebrate new beginnings.
Wishing you a year of prosperity! ♥️ 🌑 🧧

The other nice thing about the Joy of Cooking is that the baking recipes are actually quite decent. So you have a book that's half batshit insanity about how to skin an eel with pliers (I'm not joking about that btw), and half nice gingersnaps and soda breads. It's so weird and charming.
Wait while we’re all being unhinged about, like, stew. We all obsessed over the Joy of Cooking as children right. Right
