On Healing

Do you remember the time you said that we would be together forever? Do you remember all the times we said up late talking about anything and everything because we couldn’t sleep. Do yo remember the times that you cried so hard and I did my absolute best to make you stop by making jokes at the expense of my self esteem. Do you remember all the hugs and I love you’s? Because I remember all these moments and they left scars on my heart because these moments don’t mean anything to you anymore.

You see there's a problem with the world Inside every boy and girl We are measured in worth by weight No fucks given about our mental state This youth is loosing there will So the doctors keep passing the pills This youth will die without a mate How do we find them when we are raised in hate These boys and girls see no boundaries They do it for a couple years in county Only to get out do it again But don't pay no mind it's just a friend A cousin ,a neighbor ,father a brother, An uncle , an aunt , a stranger, a lover But this is the world that won't ever change Cuz everybody pretends they don't know what I'm saying.
