Purchasing an Adoptable

If you would like to purchase an adoptable, ask for them in a Comment or Replt on this post below or in a Private Message or Ask. Adoptables are sold on a first come, first serve basis. Make sure you are able and willing to pay for the adoptable before requesting to buy it.

Once I have seen your request to purchase an adoptable, I will place the adoptable on hold for you for 72 hours. An extra 24 hours will be added if a payment error occurs. Buyers may have up to two more 24 hour holding periods after the original holding period, with 12 hours added if a payment error occurs.

For paying with US Dollars via PayPal: In order for you to pay this way, I will be sending you an Invoice on PayPal to pay through. In order for me to do so, I will need and ask you for the email address tied to your PayPal account via a Private Message. I will not use or reveal this email address or your connection to it beyond using it to send you the Invoice.

Once I notice the payment has been properly sent, I will send you a Private Message containing a link to the unwatermarked images of the adoptable(s) you purchased.

No refunds; if you don't want the adoptable anymore, I'm fine if you give it away.

After Purchasing an Adoptable

You may download the images of the adoptable you bought and repost them anywhere you like. You must give me credit for the images if you repost either of them.

You may make minor alterations to my drawing of the adoptable(s) you purchased, such as croppings or background changes. At least one of my signitures on the drawing must be visable should you repost it. Do not trace my drawings.

You may make any changes to the design of the adoptable.

You may gift, sell, or in any other form give away the adoptable, just notify me if you do so.

You may not sell the adoptable for any more than what you purchased it for or the equivalent in other currencies.

The previous two rules do not apply if you are selling or giving away works featuring the adoptable, if the adoptable's design has been greatly changed from its original one, or if the adoptable is being sold alongside/with something else.

Damn, how long has it been since I last posted? Well, neither here nor there. Wasn’t quite proud of this drawing when I started it months ago, but thanks to the internet’s motivational words of “better finished than perfect,” I’ve cleaned this up and finally posted it. Not the best, but a fun exercise in reinterpreting another one of my favorite pokemon, Granbull.

A drawing of Murderbot from the waist up with no clothes on. It is looking away from the viewer. The text reads: The logos are engravings in the support structure whose colors are created by LEDs connected to simple computer chips rather than muscle pigments. They are programmed to only be black or red.

Constructs can withstand greater damage than humans, but without medical care, they cannot fully heal from even minor injuries.

Skin: Thin or absent on various parts of the body.

Outer Support Structure: Segmented to allow for movement. Thinnest (and grayer) in a few points around the eyes and the audio sensors to make wireless connections easier.

Muscles: Thin and inorganic. Found in all constructs and some higher quality human augments. They include pigments that, if modified to do so, can change shape and thus color based on certain inputs. This feature is used in many comfortunits and some secunits. In Murderbot’s case, the inputs are various danger-related signals from the brain and hormone producer. The range goes from bright red (perceived extreme danger) to cyan (perceived safer than safe).

Inner Support Structure/Skeleton: Encased within are its main sensory nerves and blood vessels. Uppermost layer on the shoulders and upper leg.

I’ve been reading some fanfics and relistening to the audiobooks, so I decided to update my take on Murderbot.

One of the things I love about TMBD is how certain things are described with far less detail than you would expect, including the appearance of several major characters, leaving a lot of wiggle room for interpretation.

I did, to varying degrees, pull from the Subterranean cover for Home: Habitat, Range, Niche, Territory (Book 4.5) for the characters that appear in the illustration, but the information in the text was the only strict limit I put on myself.

Well that, and the colors assigned to each character. There’s no way I wasn’t going to give each of them a specific hue.

Can frequently be found in libraries, bookstores, hobby shops, and whatever patch of nature sparks her inspiration.
