Backstory: Atsuki Aname was born in America but moved to Musutafu, Japan, to attend the prestigious U.A. High School. A top student in middle school, she consistently excelled academically and physically, often outperforming her peers, including many boys. Her dream of becoming a hero was shaped by a tragic event in her childhood—her parents were killed by a villain, leaving her in the care of her uncle, Kei. As her mother’s brother, Kei already lived in Japan, providing Atsuki with the perfect opportunity to pursue her goal of becoming a pro hero. Driven by both her personal loss and an unwavering resolve, Atsuki is determined to honor her parents’ memory and protect others from suffering the same fate.

Details/abilities she can do with her Quirk?

Since her quirk is Geokinesis, she can pretty much manipulate any type of earth. Whether it’s lava, sand, mud, stone, or even metal.

What Parts of their childhood trigger them?

Anytime she sees the news (she found out her parents died on the news) she has small panic attacks but as she gets older she has learned to control it better, even if she slips up sometimes, and try’s to stay away from the news television by asking everyone in the dorms to not watch the news in front of her. (It was mostly Jirou who asked but Atsuki is forever grateful for it)

How do they treat themselves when they’re feeling sad?

Atsuki would either do 3 things: one, go to Momo or Jirou and ask if they could chill and listen to music, two, she would tell Kirishima or possibly Bakugo that she is going blow off steam in the gym, and three, she would go make herself her comfort meal (spicy chicken ramen) and go watch a movie to cheer herself up.

What parts of themselves do they tend to hide?

Atsuki tends to hide how touch starved she was. Since her parents had died when she was young she didn’t get much of the parental love that she longed for. 

How do they punish themselves when they make mistakes?

Atsuki would usually punish herself by doing most hardcore workouts and work on her weaknesses. She hates being underestimated because she is a woman so she trains painfully hard to prove how strong she really is.

Who are they loyal to? Why?

Atsuki is most loyal to Momo, Jirou, Sero, and Kirishima. Other than that she has brother-sister vibes with Katsuki and studies with Izuku, Iida, Uraraka, and Todoroki.

What emotions or situations do they try to avoid? Why?

She gets really nervous when someone brings up the topic of sexuality or even dating. It’s not that she isn’t happy for who ever was dating in the dorms it’s just that she was a closeted bisexual so she was too scared to come out to the class.

What angers them?

When she is belittled because she is a woman, when a man is disrespecting a woman (feminist Atsuki we stan), and when a villain just kills just to kill.

What are their insecurities?

She’s insecure about being looked down on for being a woman and that she isn’t following the ‘girly’ standards. She’s also insecure about her thighs, and how tall she is (being the tallest girl in the class; around Bakugo’s height)

What is their relationship with their family like?

Since her parents had died at such a young age she was left to be taken care of by her uncle, Kei, who was not married or engaged so he was now a single father who worked for the journalism sections in the newspapers. Kei usually had crappy hours so Atsuki was usually left by herself to eat her comfort food, spicy chicken ramen. (It was her and her dads favorite food)

What kind of people do they tend to gravitate towards?

Atsuki tends to gravitate towards more talkative people since she is socially awkward she wants someone to keep the conversations flowing. (For example: Izuku, Denki, Sero, Kirishima, Momo)

What do they like/dislike about themselves?

Likes: Her hair, her eyes, her biceps, her muscular legs, height, etc, etc

Dislikes: Her height, her thighs etc etc

Note: I really hope no one thinks she has main character energy or smth just because she is a feminist and what not ‘omg she’s trying so hard to be sooo different’ like bro-

he’s literally the strongest character in the series, buff as hell and quite masculine. “was that for bakugo” FUCK no.

and i’ve gotten other asks calling deku like “green bean baby” or blah blah whatever. and i’m like FUCK no. this deku isn’t a femboy, he’s not a baby. he’s a strong teenager who isn’t toxic and lets himself cry. goddamn.

As someone who plays volleyball AND watches Haikyuu I can agree with this 👍

What Volleyball Position I Think MHA Characters Would Play

• Midoriya Izuku - Wing Spiker

Midoriya is actually around the same height as Hinata! I think similar to him, Midoriya would want to be a great player despite his height! I don’t see him as a middle blocker like Hinata though, or a libero which would be more fitting for his height. Those are primarily defensive positions and Midoriya is a pretty offensive fighter. I mean, his main move is literally called smash. I can see him smashing balls over the net with a killer spike. He’s a good blocker, just better at spiking. His serves need work but he’s good at receiving! He’s fast, like stupid fast. He analyzes the other team and tries to find their weaknesses. Extremely accident prone and gets injured during games because he’s constantly putting 120% into everything he does. Vice captain but prefers to let Iida run things. He will stay after practice and help out anyone who needs it!

• Bakugou Katsuki - Wing Spiker

It’s Bakugou, he would be the whole package. His spike and serve are the highlight though. Naturally competes with Midoriya since they play the same position. His only weakness is teamwork. He struggles to remember that he has to actually work as a team or they’ll lose. He’s good at receiving, but doesn’t like to. Would rather his teammates receive so he can spike the shit out of the ball. Everyone covers their heads when he serves because he puts so much power behind it that it can be hard to control. He wouldn’t be caught dead playing any other position.

• Todoroki Shouto - Setter

I can just see him as a setter. Todoroki tends to fight with more long range attacks. He’s calculated and is good at formulating the perfect set for each of his teammates. Keeping with his character, his dad is a famous volleyball player who trained him. His dad would want him to be a wing spiker and Todoroki originally played setter to spite him. Todoroki ended up actually liking the position. His favorite person to set to is Midoriya because he’s reliable. Initially had trouble syncing up with Bakugou but after a lot of practice, they become unstoppable. He also has a crazy good jump floater serve. His big weakness is receiving, but he’s a great blocker. Loves a good setter dump just to show off.

• Kirishima Ejirio - Middle Blocker

He would be an impenetrable wall, a defensive all star. He’s great at receiving as well. He’s not the best spiker and his serves are his major weakness. Kirishima sometimes would get too in his head during games and struggles with imposter syndrome. He’s a great teammate though and knows just how to cheer everyone up! Amazing at boosting morale during rough games. He likes to know that he’s supporting his teammates with his blocks and receives. Frequently stays after practice to block Bakugou’s spikes. In turn, Bakugou helps Kirishima with his serves.

• Iida Tenya - Middle Blocker

Iida would also be incredible defensively. Like Kirishima, he loves supporting his teammates with blocks and receives. Great at serving. He’s crazy fast and has amazing reflexes. He’s taller compared to the rest of class A (5’10) and uses his height to his advantage. Comes from a family of volleyball players. Team captain and runs practices like it’s the army. He loves volleyball and has a great amount of respect for the sport itself.

let’s talk about the battle between Ochako and Katsuki

first of all that battle was my favorite out of all of them cause thought it’s really showed the of person uraraka not only that go luck and easygoing friend but aomeone who wants to win and losing destroy her, but she always will hide that(kinda like Katsuki but less extreme) and how she is her own character and has her own battles and just izuku’s friend.

But I really feel like we need to talk about is the way Ochako chooses how she will win for the fight, she has been collecting up boulders that have been ripped from the ground from Katsuki’s explosions and at the right moment she decides to release them all here’s the thing letting all those really big boulders fall from the sky that means she was praying one of them hit katsuki, which could imply that she wanted him dead, because if one of the borders hit him in his head it would squash his head. What was she trying to achieve to win or to have him dead?

like this makes me is that the reasons for not choosing to go with izuku plan. Was it to get rid of him cause I think she knows what would happen if it hit him!! Like what was she doing? And then the crowd gives Katsuki shit for “ruining her plans” well ofc he did ITS WAS GOING TO KILL HIM HE WAS PROTECTING HIMSELF!!

And people love to say she some angel that girl is CRAZZZY cause ain’t no one was the same mine. It is going to do that. Always talking bout “my powers aren’t made to hurt” WELL YOU ALWAYS GOT OT BE PROVING US WRONG HUH!!
