Daemon Targaryen's fingers danced upon the hilt of Dark Sister, who all but sang from the violence of her prince, bloodlust temporarily sated. What a pair they made, those brutal rogues, so eager for the slightest taste of war.
He needed no more than a moment to look upon the corpse, savoring in the justice brought by his own hand.
Whore, Vaemond had dared to call his wife. Bastards, his sons. The King had ordered the would-be usurper's tongue for such vile words, but Daemon thought his slanders better deserved to rot with him in an early grave.
"He can keep his tongue," Daemon declared before his brother's court, relishing in the shock and terror echoing throughout the halls of the Red Keep.
They cowered before him, those most noble lords and ladies. Had he still the desire for chaos that ruled him in his youth, he would have brought his blade to their throats and sneered as they soiled their finery. As they begged and bled, he would have forced the truth from their lips.
It was not the witnessing of such violence that distressed them, though they would claim it so. It was not the death, nor the pain, nor the fear of meeting a similar fate.
No. It was the single stroke that silenced their precious gods. It was his own will, agonizingly more powerful than that of the Seven.
Daemon Targaryen, the Rogue Prince, husband to the princess who would soon be queen, and in the sight of men, more powerful than all the gods.
mob psycho is the greatest show ever made because reigen being cancelled on twitter is one of the most important moments for his character as well as one of the most emotionally heavy episodes of the show but him being trapped in alone in a purgatory dimension slowly starving to death is treated as a gag and never mentioned again
demon slayer spoilers ahead but:
we know that after Muzan’s defeat, Sanemi gifts Kaburamaru to Kanao, but only when he “visits” the Butterfly Mansion (sometime after Tanjiro awakens, which is approximately 2-3 months after Muzan’s defeat).
So, my question is: do we think Sanemi carried Kaburamaru around on his shoulders just like Obanai? I’m inclined to say yes, if only because I don’t think Kaburamaru gave him an option. He was too used to being carried 🥺
Giyuu: *smiles brightly*
Sanemi from far away: Who the fuck does he think he is… smiling so brightly like that. He’s so beautiful and he doesn’t even know it. What an asshole.
Uzui: You have to be the only man in the world to complain about your boyfriend being attractive.
Sanemi having literal kill on his haori, while Giyuus haori means longevity (Sabitos turtleshell pattern as well as the fact tsutako name means ivy which also symbolizes longevity) even their haoris parallel each other smh
cats being capable of understanding accidents and even giving you a little head bonk to let you know you're still cool makes it infinitely funnier that they don't understand when you're trying to help them
cats when you step on their tail: i'll admit that was rather ouchie, but given the lifetime of goodwill and trust between us, one must conclude this booboo is but a fluke.
cats when you try to get their claws unstuck from the couch covering: this nefarious bitch has never had a single honorable intention in their dishonest and shameful life, this must be one of their sinister plots or perhaps even an attempt on my life,
I can't stop thinking about the music and their vows
-I can't stop thinking about the way you can hear ten years of yearning in each stroke of the violins. Of longing. Pining.
-I can't stop thinking about the way the score is painfully melancholic and how it feels like every second of lost time and all they could have lived together had the gods been kinder. The children they would have shared. The loneliness they would have escaped.
-This score is the moment a lover's hand leaves yours. Their warmth is still present on your skin and yet somehow it seems cruel, a reminder of all that you desire, all that you do not presently have.
-And yet...
-And yet it also feels victorious. Through pain and torment, they have refused to yield. They have been forged in a fire that has hardened them to the world, but with each other...with each other, they are soft. They are safe. And they are filled with a happiness that has been earned one hundred times over.
-In this ceremony but especially this kiss, Daemon and Rhaenyra feel the emptiness of the past fade into the smoke as they are bonded as one, two souls never entirely whole without the other.
-And nothing captures their immeasurable connection quite like the vows, spoken in High Valyrian.
/ Blood of two / Joined as one / Ghostly flame / And song of shadows / Two hearts as embers / Forged in fourteen fires / A future promised in glass / The stars stand witness / The vow spoken through time / Of darkness and light /
-The Stars Stand Witness. There is something so profoundly intimate in this joining, this claiming. This is not the love of a single lifetime. It is something far more ancient.
-This is the story of two souls that have been connected through each and every life, not rooted in the soil, but entwined in the sky, in the very fabric of the universe, unburdened by all that is tangible.
-This is not the first time the stars have stood witness. It will not be the last.
-The Realm's Delight. The Rogue Prince. Joined as one. Now, and always.
Angry man has been stuck in my brain for a while now.
It’s affection, always / you’re gonna see it someday
