I didn't realize I forgot to post my inktober illustrations over here 🥴🫡

I'm trying to challenge myself by limiting myself to one illustration per franchise/series. For this first week the line-up was;

°Day 01 - Mitsuba - TBHK

°Day 02 - Ulquiorra - Bleach

°Day 04 - Akira - Devilman Crybaby

°Day 05 - Ciel - Black Butler

°Day 06 - Zuko - Avatar

Could you explain the ideas behind your Eeveelution designs? Some are pretty obvious, but others like Rock, Ground, and Fighting, they have a clear look but I'm not really sure what it's going for.

Of course!!! I understand that those types weren't very on the nose 😅

Starting off for ground and rock; I personally am someone who always confuses the two types, so I thought making them a pair would actually be a good match up, kind of like minum and plusle, so ground is supposed to represent an Egyptian sphinx, and has blue greenish tones to complement it, while ground is more focused to look like an Egyptian God with red tones for highlights, since reds are tone opposite to green!

Then for fighting: the fighting type was a real challenge, for most of these I took inspiration from other Pokémon within a type group, but fighting Pokémon are 90% humanoids with very strong arms, and that was a real challenge to apply to an eeveelution, after a ton of trial and error, I decided to make the tail like the arms, so I gave them the shape of hands, which it van use to fight, along with other fighting attributes, like bandages and face fluff that look like a mask, that other fighting types have as well. It's also the only one I put on its hind legs, since so many fighting types are bipedal, I thought it would aid to the sillhoutte of a fighter!

I think besides that most others are pretty on the nose!

The poison type; I based off of the Dilophosaurus from Jurassic park

The dragon type; I took inspiration from celtic dragons

The ghost type; is based off of Japanese wandering spirits

The bug type; I based off of moths, I did that because for bugs I too often see Pokémon make them look creepy or nasty and I felt moths are long overdue for being put in the spotlight (pun not intended) because of how beautiful and fluffy they really are!

Flying type; is the one I was laziest on haha, don't tell anyone, but it's just a buncha wings fkdmfmdm

And steel; is armored with spikes that could resemble coggs!!!
