if i rolled out of bed, didn't fuck with my hair or wash my face and put on ill-fitting, dirty clothes and went to run an errand, someone probably would take pictures of me and put me on a page like "people of walmart" or "ratchetmess".

when im out my body and image belongs to the public, and nobody in that space cares about my wellbeing. i want to be me and do me no matter what, but unlike my white peers i don't have the option of not looking good. i don't have the option of having a bad hair day if i want to keep a job. few people will ever find my dishevelment charming, and looking upset (this is often a neutral expression or slightly showing stress) is a threat. people will not recognize my humanity and there's always a decent chance of bullying, harassment and danger.

Biggest failing of the internet is that in order to be vibing with my friends I have to actually be talking to them. I socialize like a cat I just show affection by sitting next to you. Ily but sometimes I have Nothing to say. Not a damn thing going on in my head

needing native representation in media, education and government are not decoy issues, the commercialization and appropriation of native cultures are not decoy issues, the lack of native representation is institutional oppression at work

a bed amidst the trees; a shower amongst the rocks

​the site sits in a nature conservation in rural South Africa;

where trees and shrubs and rocks create the architectural backdrop for any home the brief​a bedroom that opens itself out into the treescape; that invites in the smells, and wind, and rustle; a bathroom that grounds itself against the landscape; that speaks of earth, and rock, and shrub the idea​the originating idea was to root the bathroom into the rockscape,whilst allowing the bedroom to float amongst the treesthe building is organised as a long thin building which allows it to fit snugly between the forest trees the two chimneys are not only essential to the structure of the building, but also naturally ventilate the bedroom (the building was designed in such a manner as to not disturb any tree during construction)
