Something that I don't get? Why do some people in the fandom genuinely believe that Kalim's parents are good hearted balls of sunshine exactly like him? I'm not talking about ENG Only people. That could be explained by simple ignorance thanks to the ENG version censoring so much about Jamil and Kalim's backstory. I'm talking about people who are familiar with the JP version and STILL honestly believe that. In my eyes, the canon clearly points at the exact opposite being true, at least in regards to Kalim's father, and Kalim is simply just an unreliable narrator, who is dissociating and living in denial to stay sane. To be more brief, I think Kalim's father is an off screen villain.
There are vignettes where Jamil and Riddle say that one of Kalim's family members poisoned him for him to immediately go into complete denial. Kalim's voice actor even said that part of the reason why Kalim is so generous is because he believes that every day could be his last. (I also suspect it could also be him subconsciously giving people their heart desires to make others stay in his good graces to ward off any similar attempts on his life.) That's a sign that he comes from a super toxic household, and his parents are just giving him expensive gifts to make him happy.
His father also: uses child labour, forces a fucking child to be a poison tester, possibly beats the Vipers when they displease him according to the JP version (the line could be taken a few different ways) and it's VERY heavily implied that he has a harem in the JP version. No one who is genuinely a good person would do any of those things!
Let's face it. There is no such thing as an ethical billionaire. People who become that wealthy always so by crushing a few heads to get to the top. The Asims are no exception.
The fact that his father is involved in politics makes him even worse. If he rubs elbows with the royals there, he could very well be like Jafar and manipulating the sultan of his country in the worst way possible.
That's pretty much my read of it, I didn't know people thought differently.
Thank you for your take.
Hey *crashes out*
Lmao I'm so sigma idk
Anyway CacaoPure, BurningVanilla, FairiePure, WindVani and ShadowVanilla mentioned lmao.
I am pretty positive no one had truly seen that Rachel Zegler interview because the hate the poor girl got for it was so insane for no reason, mostly from adult men who did not give a shit about Snow White before the movie was announced.
She never said they wanted to cut the guy‘s story, she simply said that people will assume the movie is just a romance because they cast a guy in it and that Snow‘s story is not just a love story with him. Like she is not stupid, she knows there is a love song in the movie and that Jonathan has his own arc. She was pushing back at the notion that Snow simply has to be saved by a guy cause he is in the movie. Could she have worded it better? Yeah, but it was also 2022 and people are still talking about it as if the girl has not proven time and time again what a great time she had with him, how big of a fan of Snow White she was before she was casted. Her and Jonathan are friends. They were not allowed to talk about how Andrew‘s character is or anything and she found a way to avoid saying too much. I bet she wished she had said it differently but also what difference does it make? What matters is the final product and no one can really judge it without watching it first.
Mind you all this hate from people that were gonna hate on the movie anyway. I cant with fandoms sometimes.

HI! I’m a young artist and wanted to show off my recent art :3
so here’s my recent art
I TRIED TO COPY THE TWST STYLE
Dear friends and compassionate supporters,
This is Eman Zaqout, from Occupied Gaza, Palestine. I am a Biotechnologist ,🩸💉 and scientific researcher contacting you at a really desperate moment.
I am seeking your assistance to raise funds for saving our lives, facing the starvation in Gaza and help me achieve my doctoral degree dream after being awarded OWSD PhD Fellowship for inspirational women🍉👩🎓
just like any motivated and loving life woman, and for years, I poured my heart and soul into my work at Al-Shifa Hospital and Turkish Palestinian Friendship Hospital, as Biotechnology Specialist serving cancer patients with compassion and skill.

I also gave medical lectures to students at different universities and training centers in Gaza👇☑
As a result of my outstanding grades in my study and the excellent performance in my job, I have been a holder of different scholarship and I am active participant in many research visits and scientific missions. 💪The last scholarship as at McGill University in Canada three months ago before the starting of the genocide in Gaza.😫
My life changed dramatically when Israeli military launched a sweeping war against Gaza. My home and our neighborhood in the North have been destroyed along with our belongings and precious memories early in this crisis.😢💔
My job and my husband's job are gone. Israeli military forced us to evacuate from the north Gaza to the south where they claimed it would be the safe zone but it is not at all. Our sweet home and neighborhood have been destroyed 😥😭💔
Forced to flee with nothing but the clothes on our backs, today, we find ourselves sheltering in a displacement camp lacking access to sanitation, medical supplies, food and drinkable water. I will not talk a lot about the dire and unbearable life we have to go through, as no word can express it fairly 🥺😣
The good news in the midst of this tragedy, that I am one of the 22 women from the developing world who have been awarded OWSD- PhD fellowship to pursue my PhD study in Malaysia🍉💪. But now I am stuck in Gaza unable to achieve my dream because Israeli army has occupied and closed all the border crossings 😭💔
Meet 22 fellows awarded OWSD PhD fellowship
This genocide has been 11 months of hell and horror. We have reached a point where there is no hope left for us here in Gaza, where we are unfortunately just waiting for our turn to die.
I refuse to succumb to despair, holding on to the belief that brighter days lie ahead.
With your kindness and generosity🥺, I hope to survive the genocide and reclaim the path to achieving my doctorate 💉🩸
Your compassionate aid would mean the world to me and my family.🥺🙏❤🇵🇸✌

As they have explained in previous posts, Rewaa has finally been included on the list for medical evacuations and will hopefully be able to leave soon. She is allowed to take two people along with her and they have decided that their youngest son Siraj and Mohamed's mother Nadia will be going with her.
This means the rest of the family, including Mohamed and their elder son Munir, will be left behind in Gaza until they are able to gather the needed amount in order to pay the crossing fees to Egypt.
The family is of course finding it hard to deal with the thought of being separated from each other. Munir and Siraj were already forced to be separated when Siraj had to move to their granparents' camp because he got so scared of a snake that was found in their tent.
Munir thinks that he would also be going with his brother and mother to Egypt. Mohamed had to explain to him that they will be left behind and console him with promises to buy him new toys when he gets the money.
Please note that this is a vetted fundraiser (line 70, number 66 on the vetted fundraisers spreadsheet), they were among the first gofundmes that were vetted here on tumblr, they have an instagram account with regular updates, and you can browse their tag on my blog (mohamedmoner1994) for more details and past posts proving that they are genuine.
