Frieza is the kind of person that takes on too much responsibility and tries to handle everything himself.

He feel lonely or misunderstood sometime. He always feel like he doesn't fit in and people don't understand him. Frieza have a habit to ignores his own emotional needs. alcohol and work are two things he does to distract himself from his feelings. Frieza keep his feeling to himself, he don't want other to worried about him. he feel like he has to deal with everything himself and keep it inside. He trust his family but he don't want them to worried. He prefer to just keep things bottled up. He prefer to ignore it and just deal with the issues in his own way.

my headcannon version of Frieza and Vegeta relationship

I believe Frieza’s attitude toward Vegeta is closer to that of curiosity—curiosity toward someone who is somewhat similar to himself, and a desire to see whether they might be kindred spirits. On top of that, Vegeta is strong and talented, and Frieza enjoys collecting exceptional individuals. As for the others in Frieza’s army, they mostly just found Vegeta difficult to get along with—standoffish, abrasive, and prideful. But there wasn’t any deliberate bullying (aside from a few individuals who had personal conflicts with him). In fact, many understood that Vegeta had lost his home planet, so there was a degree of tolerance toward his attitude. No one really went out of their way to mess with him.
