Random Thought #4: 

So, Langris... I have an ask for you - since you are so fond of answering them. It's only one of a few thousand entirely identical asks that I wrote and placed in your "ask box", and by now I'm guessing it's overflowing, so here's hoping you'll answer. Anyway, my ask is: if you had the opportunity to either be taller than Finral, or have a special spacial spirit and thus have a better chance of beating Yuno, which would you choose... and why?

Langris: Oh, that one’s easy.

David: Of course it is, anyone would choose the spa-

Langris: To be taller than Finral, of course. It’s another thing I can claim to be better than him at. Then I’ll be able to look down at him in the physical sense.

Banana Fish Highschool AU

Lives with his parents, younger sister and has a dog

Very kind and friendly but can get defensive, people would question those he's friends with

He writes with an ink pen and is very organized

He hangs out with Ash and Shorter a lot after they helped him out since the first day he came

A member of the Photography club, he likes taking pictures of others and is pretty skilled at it based on past experiences

His also apart of the school track team and is a pro at pole vaulting (or pole jumping)

Favourite Subject(s): Phys. Ed, Photography and English

Works for the Photojournalist, Shunichi, part time at a photo agency

Future Job: A Photojournalist

Ash

Senior-Year student with a GPA of 4.0 and is on top of all his classes

Lives with Jessica and Max (boo ya!) after being abandoned by his parents and rescued from a corrupt politician

Very popular amongst others due to his charismatic personality but can be harsh at times, gets into trouble a lot

He sleeps during his classes and still manages to get straight A's

Often seen at the school library, has a whole gang that he hangs out with

Mostly hangs out with his close friend, Shorter, who he met during detention and Eiji, since they first met, He now has a soft side

Favourite Subject(s): English, Social Science, Chemistry and Biology

Works part time as a librarian, surprisingly

Future Job: Mostly likely to become a Doctor or a Professor

Shorter

Senior-Year student, does the bare minimum in school

Lives with his Older sister, Nadia, and Sing (In this Au, Sing is basically his little bro, well they're cousins)

A very loyal student and friend, but very stupid at the same time

Messy handwriting and Average performance when it comes to his grades

Hangs out with Ash, who he met during detention and Eiji, who he met when he first came

Favourite Subject: None (Don't see him as the type who likes school)

Works part time at his Sister's restaurant, Chang Dai

Future Job: Probably end up working at his Sister's restaurant

Sing

Freshman-Year student, struggling with his first year at high school

Lives with Shorter and his older sister, Nadia

A very smart ambitious student with great leadership skills yet his brain is burnt chicken

Pulls an all nighter almost every since day and also sleeps during class

Sometimes hangs out with Shorter and the others, mostly hangs out with Yue (Used to hate him, but after learning about him, he felt bad for him)

Apart of the Self-Defence club, mostly teaches there (Some schools have those kinds of clubs)

Favourite Subject: Phys. Ed, Social Studies

Works part time at a Café (suprise suprise :D)

Future Job: Hasn't thought of it

Yue-Lung

Sophomore-Year student who takes a lot of AP classes

Lives in the household of a famous politician, who passed away, his mother also mysteriously passed away (there's more to it tho) and is currently living in a toxic household with his step-bros

He raises his hand for every since question, often reminds the teacher about homework

Hangs out with Sing, used to hold a grudge against Ash and Eiji but later befriends them

Acts kind and polite but really he's a stone-cold person, but then he warmed up a bit after befriending Sing

Is apart of the Archery Club and is pretty good at it

Future Job: Medical Scientist or Herbalist/Naturopath

Favourite Subject: Chemistry, Biology, History, Art

Headcanons:

If this AU were to be a show, it would be one of those Netflix highschool drama shows, I don't know why, I just see it like that

Shorter is the stoner of the bunch (no I won't elaborate)

Kong, Bones, Cain and Alex are also Seniors that hang out with Ash

Michael is often babysitted by Ash since their parents sometimes work overnight, him and Skip are friends (I can't get over the fact that Skip and Michael didn't interact at least once)

The gang mostly hangs out at Chang Dai, sometimes at the Café Sing works at

Almost everyone plays with Yue's hair when he's asleep

The gang would sometimes go on mini road trips after school

Ever since Sing started working at a Café, he learned a lot about brewing and baking

Since Yue lives in a toxic household, he always sneak out of his home to hang out with the others, now he stays at Sing's place

Yue used to seek to his teacher, Blanca's, house and gets taken care of by him, but after false rumours of them being intimate started spreading around, Blanca ended up changing school

Shorter and Sing both teach Yue modern slang and western meme culture because he's been living under a rock and didn't even have a childhood

Eiji would sometimes make bento boxes for Ash and purposely add a pumpkin sticker on his note

Ash hates Halloween parties at school... because of goddamn pumpkins for fucks sake

The gang would have movie nights and they'd watch a lot of horror movies, at one point they ended up watching The Ring and Yue would always jumpscare everyone because they look similar

Anyway, here’s them headcanons you wanted for the Black Bulls. 

Sleepwear and Bedtime Headcanons - Black Bulls Edition 

Asta 

If he could, Asta would probably drag Yuno over from the Golden Dawn just so he could have a little bit of his previous life back. Despite all the bad things in his past, he does miss sharing his sleeping quarters with his family... it feels so weird not having them to curl up against when its dark and cold - even though he does have his duvet, but it doesn’t compare to being with his family. Also, he misses being able to question Yuno every three seconds and tell him all about his random thoughts like the extrovert that he is. That being said, sometimes he hosts slumber parties with Gordon - because he’s the one most on board with that idea - to get a bit of the good old days back. (Also because I want to give Gordon some friend time... poor lonely sweetie) He just wears shorts and a tank top and likes a glass of warm milk before he goes to bed. No, he doesn’t have plushies or anything like that, but who needs plushies when you have a cute li’l devil on your shoulder and a talking birb-woman as your friend?

Charmy 

Charmy likes to eat before she goes to bed. Supposedly not the healthiest habit ever, but er... since when did Charmy care about her health? She likes a good, warm meal before she heads off, and doesn’t really mind what she’s wearing, or if she’s wearing anything. If she’s feeling very tired, she’ll fall asleep in what she is wearing, but if it’s not so bad - and with her energy it usually isn’t - she’s wear shorts and a shirt, or a pair of pyjamas. One of her p-j’s has cupcake patterns on it, as well as the words “Eat Me” on the her back (don’t ask) and it looks to be a few sizes too big for her, but it’s not like she cares. 

Finral 

Pyjamas all the way. I mean, even if he’s a disgraced nobleman, he’s still a nobleman and as such he does have his dignity - also he’s kinda’ insecure (getting rejected as many times as he’s been can do that to you). They’re usually green and some other colour, striped or plain or otherwise basically patterned. Despite his recklessness, he’s a sensible person (most of the time) so he wears practical, sensible clothing. If he does have insomnia, it’s likely because of Yami and the crazy sh-t he’s been through. Thanks, Yami, you’re the best boss anyone could hope for. XD He sometimes likes to read something fictional just so that he can escape reality before he falls asleep and has nightmares about said reality. And he happens to have a lot of romance books stashed in his room, strange as that might sound. I mean, where do you think he got all his romantic ideas and knowledge from? His squad mates? His friends? His family? His half brother? Hell, nah. These days he stays away from the romance books so as to not let them encourage any bad ideas in him... but he does still borrow ideas on how to woo his love interest from there. He won’t sleep with his light on, but likes to have the moonlight stream into his room, so that he can see, just in case someone decided to break into his room. He’s a light sleeper, so it tends tends to annoy him whenever Magna or Asta just happen to be up late because it means he won’t be getting any sleeping. 

Gauche 

I mean, would it be Gauche if he didn’t routinely check up on Marie with his mirror magic before he went to bed? So of course he does that. They talk a little, say good night to each other, and if even after that he can’t sleep, he’ll work on puzzles, problems and riddles until his brain starts to tire. I mean, he’s a smart bean, despite all his vices, so I feel like he would. Sometimes he’ll get dragged to Gordon’s and Asta’s slumber parties along with Grey. It’s awkward and sometimes annoying, but he’d be lying if these hadn’t grown on him in the past while. Occasionally though, there will be nights when the Black Bulls can hear Gordon chasing Asta around the base, threatening to kill him during one of these slumber parties after just a few mentions of Marie... and it often ends with parts of the base getting destroyed. But it helps him keep the frustration of being kept away from Marie at bay, stopping him from doing something more reckless. He wears pyjamas, naturally, usually of a more plain colour, and practical. But they are still warm cozy, so... yeah. 

Gordon

I mean, he probably wears black. And he probably wears pyjamas. I feel like maybe they have grey or white stripes, don’t ask why. Sometimes they are patterned with white and grey cows or sheep or goats instead. He tends to enjoy cookies and milk before bedtime and likes to read detective and friendship stories. If they include the power of friendship, even better. He’s all for slumber parties too, so he’ll drag Asta, Gauche and Grey into it, since he’s closest with them. He also has a picture of his family’s dog sitting on his nightstand, and after meeting his family once again and realising that they were not as bad as he’d initially thought, he now also has them in a separate picture. As well as all his friends... yeah, he has a lot of pictures in his room... it’s kinda’ creepy just how many he has. 

Grey 

Grey wears baggy, blue and white pyjamas and a nightcap, and tends to sleep with the duvet right over her head, as if it could hide her away from danger when she’s sleeping. She is a very light sleeper, and has some sleeping issues, but after resolving her insecurity with Gauche a little, it has become easier to fall asleep around others, and Asta’s slumber parties do actually make that easier. Especially since it reassures her that they are all together and that nothing bad will hapen to them. Plus, Gauche is mostly there whenever she is, which definitely helps persuade her to go, since she is closest to him. No, nothing weird happens there, she just tends to fall asleep curled up against Gauche by accident because of her constant shifting around. And yep, she shifts around a lot when she tries to get to sleep. 

Henry 

Henry is a pretty deep sleeper and spends much of his time in bed. He wears pyjamas and a night cap and tends to put himself to sleep by wandering around the base to tire himself out. That said, this makes him seem like a goast, because he is very quiet, pale and strange looking, as it scared the heck out of the Black Bulls in the past. Now that they know its Henry, they are no longer so afraid. Asta tends to chat with Henry every now and again, since Henry can’t suck away his mana - since he has none - and sometimes the two talk long into the night. But since Asta doesn’t know what an indoor voice is... the normal response is for Yami to holler at them from several rooms away to “Shut it”, waking up Finral and everyone else in the process. Henry likes to rise to the sound of songbirds. 

Luck 

Luck just.... does this guy even sleep? I’m not sure he does. He strikes me as a total and incurable insomniac that will do anything in his power to make sure that Magna pays the price for that. Jumping around in his lightning bolt patterned shorts and shirt, he often spends time jumping on his bed to knock himself out and if that doesn’t work, he’ll purposefully jump on Magna’s bed to provoke the poor and tired soul into fighting him again. Then when he finally falls asleep nothing can awake him until he himself is ready to start the day again. One thing though... he likes to sleep with the light on. It makes him slightly uncomfortable to be in the dark, even if he’ll still smile and look normal. Magna once tried to get the guy to finally go to sleep by switching the light off and it made Luck lash out and shock him in fear, and since then Magna’s remembered to keep the lights on. 

Magna 

Magna doesn’t tend to wear many clothes, usually either just boxer shorts, or shorts and a tank top. Most of his nights are spent trying to convince Luck to finally go to sleep already, or gambling with Yami, which has turned him into quite the night owl. He has a teddy that looks a bit like a rottweiler, which Luck likes to tease him for, but he excuse himself by telling Luck it’s what a “manly man” would do. Clearly underneath it all he’s a bit insecure about his habits, hence he feels the need to tell everyone it’s not at all unmanly, but really, he’s a softie under his rough experience and Luck isn’t bothered by him liking teddies. He will call him out for the whole “manly man” thing, though. Mostly because he thinks it’s bull. Magna should like whatever he likes and not be concerned whether it’s manly or not. But mostly Magna should fight him. Right now. 

Nacht 

As you could expect from a man who wears too many belts, his nightwear has layers. Many, many layers. Not belts though, you might be relieved to hear. Also, spending much of his time in spade, he’s got a lot of very fluffy and very warm night clothes. That being said, he doesn’t have teddies or anything like that... it’s too distracting and he sure as hell wouldn’t let Yami ever find out that he has a softer side... not since they’ve grown distant and he’s grown to hate him, at least. Gimodelo usually manages to beg out of him a chance to curl up beisde him like a cat, mostly because despite all his words, Nacht has actually grown quite fond of the devil. Nacht is a bit of a night owl, but if he needs to get up early, he will go to sleep earlier for sensibility’s sake. And, like some other people in this squad, he too occasionally deals with sleeping problems. And blames that on Yami too. 

Nero / Secre 

Girl wears a black nightgown - you know, like that dress in opening 11 of the anime, basically. She also likes to be able to embrace something when she’s anxious, worried, or just wants an embrace but doesn’t know how to say so, but doesn’t really have much in the way of possessions, so mostly she either hugs a book, or the duvet. She rises early and goes to sleep early, but sometimes good ol’ friend insomnia shows up and she winds up haunting the Black Bull hideout Henry style until at least three AM. Doesn’t help that Asta’s constant and terrible habit of getting himself into trouble gets her worked up 24/7. As a self-appointed care-taker she feels obligated to protect the boy and this doesn’t help one bit, and it especially doesn’t help her sleep. 

Noelle 

Of course Noelle likes teddies. And especially seeing as now she is away from Solid so no one will be ripping her teddies any time soon. So she got a few during one of her shopping trips with Vanessa. One of which may or may not be a terrier doggo that looks suspicious like Asta with its spikey fur. Her nightwear is more conservative than her daywear mostly because it doesn’t need to allow for as much movement, and it keeps her warm, but it’s not so different from her daywear. Sometimes Vanessa drags the girls to slumber parties and will especially drag Noelle over... which despite not admitting it, Noelle is glad about. After spending much of her childhood alone, she can’t quite get enough of her friends at the Black Bulls. When she has nightmares, she often tends to go to Vanessa. She’d go to Asta, but well... she’s an awkward dolt, and dealing with the opposite sex is basically Mission Impossible. 

Vanessa 

Vanessa sleeps in her underwear, but when hosting slumber parties, she doesn’t mind wearing a nightgown or something if it makes people flustered. Naturally, it’s pink in colour. Also, she likes to have Rouge curl up next to her. After spending so many years alone in a bird cage, she doesn’t ever want to go back to that solitude, so she takes every opportunity to host slumber parties, or just to have someone or something to cuddle. She’s even had slumber parties just between her and Finral... mostly reserved for when either of them is feeling particularly down and needs someone to cheer them up. However, mostly she invites the girls, dragging Charmy, Secre, Noelle and Grey into her room and holding them hostage. It can get pretty wild in there, from truth or dare, to twister, cards against humanity and every game in the world, but other times its just Vanessa giving her own version of counselling to these precious girls - especially Noelle, Secre and Grey who clearly could use a big sis and maybe some counselling. 

Zora 

Zora doesn’t go to slumber parties. Asta has tried to persuade him to go, but it only ended up with him having a stink bug in his hair and Zora walking away. He does however occasionally chat to people he trusts more - like Asta - before going to bed, usually leaving them with a stinkbug. He sleeps in his boxer shorts, mostly because he couldn’t be damned about wearing more layers of clothes, and doesn’t really feel the need to dress conservatively...? He also totally has a stink bug farm which he usually checks up on before going to bed. He even names them, that bug-loving tsundere. Also, he always keeps his doll on his night stand.

📂 When the Silva sibs were babies, Acier had her maid mix them up what she called "Sleepy milk". They were sat down and made to drink it, and within 15 minutes they would fall asleep. All four of the Silva siblings drank it and consider if the rarest delicacy, because they get to have it so infrequently

📂 I'm breaking this up into multiple headcanons because I came up with too much for it. Sleepy milk was created by Acier's nanny when she was a baby, and she always planned to pass it on to the next Silva's nanny, but since they didn't have children young, she taught it to Nozel. He is the only one who knows how to make it now

📂 This stuff still works on the siblings as adults. Nozel uses it with caution

📂 Solid is a theater kid at heart. He's go the voice, he's got the range, he's got the energy, he's got the drama. He just didn't have the choice 😔

📂 I can't remember if I've mentioned this one or not but Nozel once accidentally made Nebra so mad that she threw up. Pester @loafingdragon for the full story because I don't think this one is going to make it into the Disaster Bisexual Fuegoleon fic

📂 If you ask Solid it is unquestionably the funniest thing that has ever happened to this famiy

📂 When she's alone or with a romantic partner, Nebra likes to be naked. It makes her feel pretty

📂 Nebra develops a bad flu once a year. Untreated allergies

📂 The Kiras and Vermillions didn't realize that Solid's name was Solid for the first year and a half of his life because they thought that Solid was a nickname and everyone was too embarrassed to ask

📂 I put this in the tags but here it is for real: Nozel has a long torso and stubby legs while all his other siblings inherited Acier's modeling legs

📂 Nozel and Meoroleona are actually super close. They were both knew Acier in the same way. Also Meoro knew he had a crush on Fuegoleon before Nozel knew himself and she's simultaneously his best wingman and his worst nightmare
