FLOWERS (Deuce x Nymph!reader)

AN: I hope you enjoy this, I may make a part 2 if it's requested.

POV: Deuce realising he’s in love with you (but you’re in love with somebody else)

Two monsters stood in the courtyard of their school, one of them talking excitedly about an event that had happened earlier that day.

“And then Lagoona said- Deuce are you even listening to me right now?” The nymph asked snapping her fingers in front of the gorgon, of whom had been staring off into space for the past five minutes.

The gorgon was brought out of his trance-like state to look back at the nymph.

“Huh? Yeah I was listening tell me what… uh, Frankie said.” Deuce responded cautiously.

“What were you even staring at?” She asked peering around, merely seeing Clawdeen and Frankie walking past, she felt a strange feeling in her chest, pushing it away and turning around “You know what, never mind. I need to get ready anyway.”

Deuce’s brows furrowed at this. “Get ready? Get ready for what?” He asked confused.

“My date? Did I forget to tell you? Porter finally asked me out!” She exclaimed smiling, small plants sprouting from her hair and feet “And after you assured me he would too! It’s like your my good luck charm!” Now it was Deuce’s turn to get the funny feeling in his chest, he gently removed the plants from her hair, pressing his tongue to his cheek. “Huh, good for you.” He said trying to sound happy for her, then handing her three flowers that had sprouted. (A habit he had gained after a while of hanging out with her)

“Oh, thank you.” She smiled jokingly curtseying before looking down at the flowers to see what their meanings are “Well this one, is a Yellow Hyacinth which means jealousy and this one is… a Pink Camellia which means… longing, this third one is a red rose, obviously, which means love.”

Deuce smiled as the nymph spoke, listening intently.

“Here, you keep them.” She said, handing Deuce the flowers, he took them but removed the rose and handed it back to her.

“You keep the rose, you’re the one going on a date.” He spoke, the funny feeling in his chest growing as he said the word ‘date’.

She smiled, muttering a small thank-you as she gently kissed the gorgon’s cheek. “Bye, Deuce!” She exclaimed walking off, Deuce watching her leave a smile on her face, his face heating up as he does so.

“Oh no.” He muttered his eyes widening as he suddenly came to the realisation… “I’m in love with Y/n.”

POV: Shapeshifter!reader complaining about her detentions

Y/n sat in her dorm room, her head on her desk, groaning as her friend group entered the room, she was in.

“What’s up with her?” Draculaura asked Deuce who was sitting calmly on her bed.

“She got another detention for attacking Heath and swearing at Mr Komos.” Deuce explained.

“Mr Komos hates me!” Y/n groaned hitting her head against the desk as Deuce quickly moved his hand on the desk to stop her from doing so.

“Well, he wouldn’t if you’d stop getting in trouble.” Clawdeen reasoned.

“That is impossible.” Y/n hissed, her head now resting in Deuce's hand.

“It’s… really not.” Clawdeen stated.

“It is for me!” Y/n exclaimed, finally standing up to sit next to Deuce and bury her face in his shoulder.

“Y/n- Just stop breaking the rules and you know- mocking teachers.” Clawdeen instructed.

Y/n lifted her head off Deuce's shoulder to give the werewolf a deadpan look.

“See- see that is where you lose me.” She stated, “I mean- What’s the point of being able to shapeshift if I never use it to mock my teachers?”

“In her defence, we do encourage her.” Frankie pointed out.

“Well-”

“Clawdeen, don’t you dare act like you guys have never asked me to make fun of a teacher… or pretend to be a parent so you can get out of classes for a few days which- we go to a boarding school I don’t know how any of you thought that would work… Heath… or how it somehow manages to keep working even though we’ve done it like fifty times.”

“I mean- I guess that’s true.” Clawdeen gave in “But Y/n you can’t keep getting detentions.”

“I know but- where’s the fun in that?” Y/n said before pausing “And I’m about to get another one.” “How do you know that?” Deuce asked, glancing down at her.

“Mr Komos is coming.” She answered before adding “I’m technically skipping a detention.”

“Y/n!” Clawdeen scolded.

“How do you even know he’s coming?” Draculaura asked.

“I memorised his footsteps.” The shapeshifter responds, standing up to sit by her window.

“Y/n! Are you in here? You’re supposed to be in detention!” Mr Komos yelled, knocking on her door.

Y/n stayed silent.

“Did she run off again?” “No, I’ve decided to be mature and wait for you to call campus security on me this time.” She responded.

“What do you mean-” Mr Komos questioned, opening the door and seeing her by the window “Don’t you dare.”

“Bye guys, bye Deuce love you!” She exclaimed, waving and opening her window, jumping out of it.

Mr Komos rushed over to the window, peering downwards, Deuce doing the same, only to find her gone.

“How does she keep doing that?” Mr Komos groaned.

“She’s amazing.” Deuce smiled continuing to look out the window.
