I Had A Dream About A Silly Filler/omake In The U.A Dorms Where Most Of Class 1-A Forgot To Turn In A

I had a dream about a silly filler/omake in the U.A Dorms where most of Class 1-A forgot to turn in a test for grading and they get the idea to sneak into Aizawa's room to slip their papers in the stack. Never mind he'd probably notice if the stack had suddenly tripled in size. Dream logic.

Anyway, the funny thing was that they snuck in while he was sleeping and he woke up immediately, but he was comfortable 'n basking in the sunlight so he faked sleep and just. quietly assessed their skills on stealth and infiltration. grumpy and a little bit amused. definitely didn't want to bother getting up. It was really funny, all the individual ways the students tried to be sneaky 'n using their quirks and such, when you knew Aizawa was already wide awake and silently grading judging them.

Maybe that dream would be funny Dadzawa fic material. Who knows?

Why I'll Never Forgive Endeavor

tw: abuse, domestic violence, dehumanization, and everything you expect to come with talking about the todorokis

Endeavor was right in calling Shouto a masterpiece, because that's all he ever was to him. Just a canvas to imprint whatever beliefs he had onto. Shouto was never made to be a person. He was made to be an object, an immovable force, something Endeavor can sculpt to his desire.

We see this through Shouto's demeanor. His inability to show emotions the way others do to that extreme of a level is usually a trauma response. He's purposefully blank, lest he face the wrath of Endeavor noticing the stain on his perfect painting.

Dabi even mentions this.

Why I'll Never Forgive Endeavor

Endeavor wasn't the only one who saw Shouto as a means to an end. Dabi did too. He calls Shouto a puppet and trophy son throughout the series genuinely does not seem to consider that he has feelings at all. He wants to break him, because Shouto was given the life he was promised, but he can't see past what Endeavor told him to be like class 1a did.

Dabi's plotline was never about reconciling with Shouto, it was about destroying everything Endeavor thought made him great.

Why I'll Never Forgive Endeavor

Endeavor controlled every moment of Shouto's life from the day he was born. Training, probably diet, every single second of every day was planned to expect max power and effort. He wanted a machine that he could show off, like fucking Tony Stark or some shit.

This is why when Midoriya says "it's your power," it's so impactful. He essentially told Shouto "you don't have to be what he made you to be." He was finally given permission to choose, something no one in his life (not even his mother) gave him. When you're a kid like that, you don't have the perspective that you can change. Midoriya believed that he could, so Shouto did.

Why I'll Never Forgive Endeavor

Shouto wanted his father to see him as valuable outside of what he could do for him. But he never gets that. That is why the ending is so important for Shouto.

Why I'll Never Forgive Endeavor

Shouto's arc is, at a base level, finding purpose outside of what his father expected.

You know who was given the freedom to do that from the get go?

Touya.

Why I'll Never Forgive Endeavor

Let's get into the meat of the issue. Endeavor genuinely cared about Touya. He gave him permission to be great. He told him that there is more to his life than being Endeavor's 'mini me' and that Endeavor would support him in what he'd pursue.

He didn't do this with Fuyumi or Natsuo, but I think at this point he would've been willing to care about them if they offered something he thought was valuable. Because at the end of the day, even if Touya wasn't going to be a hero, Endeavor believed he'd still do great things. That he would bring honor to their name.

Endeavor only started caring about how he treated his family once he saw what it did to Dabi. His wife's mental breakdown didn't do it. The disfiguration of his youngest didn't do it. Breaking his child down until all he was was just another puddle of vomit on the floor at the age of five didn't do it. Not even the death of his beloved child did it.

But seeing how he ruined Touya's potential did.

Endeavor's change only came from the knowledge that he was his own ruin. His apologies come from a place of selfishness and it destroyed his family.

The thing that both Shouto and Dabi had in common is that they both just wanted to be enough for Endeavor. And at the end of the day, and the manga, I truly don't think that was ever achieved.

And that is why I can never forgive Endeavor.

“Who did this to you?” A deep voice echoes, vibrating around the walls of the throne room. On the opulent throne sits the owner of the baritone voice — Ryomen Sukuna. The king of curses, resting his head on his arm as he looks down at you, too scared to look up from your feet.

“I don’t like repeating myself.” He warns, your body hasn’t ceased shaking. Your uniform is tattered, the rips in the fabric revealing deep purple bruises. Uraume was the one that found you, unconscious in the butlers pantry. After waking you up they brought you to the throne room. So there you were, kneeling at the feet of your king.

You arrived to the estate a year ago, your life as a servant was agreeable. Lord Sukuna treated all his servants well. You were loyal, efficient and pleasant to look at, it was only a matter of time before he started to notice you.

At first he requested you be the one to serve him breakfast. Then it became lunch, and suddenly you tended to all his meals. He demanded you for everything, his bathing, dressing. He could do all of these things himself of course, but he prefered your gentle hands. His personal attendant, not even Uraume, had seen the king of curses at his most vulnerable... but you had bared witness to all of him.

“Fine, if you won’t tell me who. Then why?” Ryomen slowly rises from his throne, his looming figure towering over your kneeling body. He lowers himself to your level, one hand reaches down to lift your chin. Firm yet gentle he forces you to look up at him, your eyes meeting his red ones. Your once flawless skin is covered in bruises. His eyes darken.

“They t-think you favor me.” Is all you can manage to get out.

Word spreads around the estate of course. And plus Sukuna didn’t exactly hide his preference for you. You didn’t sleep with the rest of the help, you were given a room connected to his. ‘In case he requested your presence in the night’ but the reality was he slept better knowing you were near. You didn’t eat the servant food, you dined in the great hall. At a separate table he had made for you. All of these things on full display for the others to see, it wasn’t long before the insults started. At first it was the odd ‘slut’ or ‘whore’ being mumbled in passing. Then an accidental shove into the wall, always followed by a curt “sorry”.

But today? It was your birthday. You had only mentioned it to Ryomen in passing one day at breakfast. He never understood the need for such a useless celebration. You went about your duties for the day, when Uraume found you and handed you a small box. And there on display for everyone to see, a beautiful beaded bracelet made from polished cherry wood. A token of appreciation ‘for your hard work’.

A gift from the king of curses.

“What’s so great about you anyway?”

“Lord Sukuna’s bed-warmer gets everything she wants!”

They punched and kicked, throwing you into the pantry. The group of servants you once thought of as your family. Clouded by jealousy, hatred towards you — the lord’s favorite.

Ryomen Sukuna, the epitome of ruthlessness and malevolence, softens his gaze. He looks upon your trembling form with… pity? His moment of weakness is replaced by an unreadable expression.

“You have been relieved of your servant duties. You will stay here in my quarters from here on out.” It’s a demand, leaving no room for objection. Your eyes well up with tears looking up at your king, his other hand wipes them away. He rises, walking towards the door, his back facing you.

“Get up. Uraume will tend to your injuries. Once you are well, we will visit the servant’s quarters. You will point out those who laid their filthy hands on you, and I will kill them.”

With Izuku's strong moral compass, of course he'll find Shigaraki’s crimes revolting. And him saying he couldn't forgive him is a valid feeling. What was impressive, though, was when he saw Shiggy’s face seemingly asking for help, he didn’t ignore it. Right there and then, he tried helping. It was beautiful.

The thing with Izuku is that when he sees an opportunity to help, he tries his best to act on it at that exact moment. Even at the tender age of 16. He's not just preaching about morals, he's also backing up his principles with actions.

But it’s also important to understand that he’s just a 16-year-old high schooler. In the grand scheme of things, even with the greatest quirk(s) ever at his disposal, Izuku is but a speck. He can only do so much. To rely solely on his actions to enact change in society when he’s just a boy is asking too much of him. It will do us well to remember that when their society relied on one man, All Might, it made society more susceptible to destruction.

So, no. You can’t expect Izuku’s accomplishments to just, you know, magically change society. It’s a long battle. Years of reconstruction and recovery.

The thing we need to remember is that for all the bad, Izuku didn’t cave, but thought about how he can solve the issues drowning him. Because all this boy ever wanted was to help. And help he did. It doesn’t matter if his help is just a blip compared to the massive scale of evil at play. What matters is he did. He tried. You cannot expect change if no one will start it, and, bless him, Izuku started it. Sparked a change so early, even, right from freaking episode 1.

If anything, it will be weird to me if no one from the adults will change their perspectives at the end of the manga. Because change will only happen if many are on board with it. And the more influence you have? The more likely you’d help Izuku with his efforts to help unconditionally.

If no adults support or guide Izuku as he wonders how evil will end? That will be so painfully realistic.

rei recognizing her son immediately at first glance when he came on that tv but endeavour failing to do so in their fight pre-war knowing that he’d probably seen pictures of him on the news beforehand and still not seeing touya through dabi will forever break my heart

NO LIKE LITERALLY THOUGH!!! it’s genuinely so heartbreaking!!! but i also think a mother can just recognize their spawn like,, that’s her eldest sitting on that couch. her eldest baby, scarred and sutured to shit. her eldest baby, admitting to murdering 30+ innocent people. her eldest baby, presumed dead until this very moment.

speaking of rei and touya, i fucking love the way she goes to reach for him in chapter 426 when he starts coughing!! like !!!!!!!!!!! oh my heart just shattered when i saw it, especially since i rly do believe that touya is 90% his mother.
