me, the first palaeontologist to dig up a triceratops skull, whispering softly: what the fuck, what the fuck, what the fuckkkk
Anon, you and I are the same person
The yellow and blue aroace flag is sooo pretty! I love it sm! I only really use the aro flag+label, because although i am also ace, its just what feels more important to me. But like. I am so tempted to switch to calling myself aroace just for the flag. Best flag. I dont care that it doesn't include any aro or ace colours. Thats what I like about it. It feels whole:)

What's up with Pluto these days you know anything?
The planet, the dog, or the god? In any case the answer is “Between jobs.”
Ive noticed recently that my generation has... no concept of what the various economic classes actually are anymore. I talk to my friends and they genuinely say things like "at least i can afford a middle class lifestyle with this job because i dont need a roommate for my one bedroom apartment" and its like... oughh
You guys, middle class doesnt mean "a stable enough rented roof over your head," it means "a house you bought, a nice car or two, the ability to support a family, and take days off and vacations every year with income to spare for retirement savings and rainy days." If all you have is a rented apartment without a roommate and a used car, you're lower class. That's lower class.
And i cant help but wonder if this is why you get kids on tumblr lumping in doctors and actors into their "eat the rich" rhetoric: economic amnesia has blinded you to what the class divides actually are. The real middle class lifestyle has become so unattainable within a system that relies upon its existence that theyve convinced you that those who can still reach it are the elites while your extreme couponing to afford your groceries is the new normal.
Life happens around you when you're in the closet
You learn the word gay and you see the flags and you know one of them is yours
And everyone else around you is living their life while you figure out which one is which
Who am I attracted to
What are my pronouns
Am I attracted to anyone
Who am I
And the friends you know who have a handle on how to express themselves well
They're having their first kiss
They're going on their first dates
First girlfriend first boyfriend
First anniversary, meeting the parents, learning what it's like to have a significant other
You're fighting all these terms inside your mind
And you don't even know which word fits you so how do you tell someone what's going on
How do you get help if the people you're supposed to be able to turn to aren't for certain safe
So life goes on outside the closet you're looking from
One day you'll join, I promise you
I promise you because I have joined life as a queer person and there's so much of life to live little one
One day you'll live in the sun as your full authentic self and you will be okay
It took years and years for me
Past middle school pubescence, past high school struggles
Past college for me
Past early adult years
And let me tell you
There's comfort in the closet but the truth in the light of day will feel like home, you'll see
We'll all be here when you're ready
MCY 70117a is a Saturn-sized gas giant orbiting the binary brown dwarf Luhman 16, which is only 6.5 light years from our sun. It was photographed on July 1st, 2017 by amateur astronomer Marshall C. Yarnblob of rural Cornwall, England.
“I built my telescope from some spare computer parts and a common bathroom mirror,” said Yarnblob, “It’s slightly better than Hubble due to the curvature of the mirror, which I discovered only after I had built the ‘scope. I built it to spy on my neighbor, who I’m pretty sure is some kind of Satanist, but when I pointed it to the stars, I realized its resolution was, by pure chance, flawless.”
Yarnblob offered his telescope to NASA and the ESA but was declined by both, who didn’t believe his claims. One thing is for certain- They believe him now. They also afforded him the right to name the planet, which he promptly called “Planet Tennis Ball” owing to the yellow hue and white curvy line around its equator, which experts believe is an atmospheric band of methane.
The Yarnblob Telescope is currently being moved - very carefully - to Dungeness beach where light pollution will not affect it. Said NASA head Lauren Logllamadachshund, “We hope to view the system’s other planets within the week, and to observe the exoplanets of Proxima Centauri in even greater clarity.”
Yarnblob has declined all offers of money for the telescope, stating that science is its own reward. He asked only for a conventional telescope in exchange so that he might further spy on his neighbor. “He’s up to something, I know it. The police won’t listen but I saw him building an altar, and I saw him wearing black robes. The man sacrifices babies, you mark my words,” said Yarnblob.
When asked for comment, his neighbor Aleister LaVey stated that he was not a Satanist, and that he only ever sacrificed one baby once when he was in college as part of a frat dare.

Early in his dancing career, Bill “Bojangles” Robinson performed on a custom double staircase that added drama to his act, increasing his visibility to the audience while amplifying the sound of every step he made.
“As generations of imitators would learn to their grief, the properties of the staircase that magnified Robinson’s mastery equally magnify the slightest imperfection,” wrote Brian Seibert, in his book What the Eye Hears. “Dancers tell a story in which he had his musicians cut out for three and a half minutes while he continued dancing. After the allotted time, the musicians came back in, cued by a metronome that Robinson couldn’t hear. He was exactly on beat.”
