Okay so obviously celebrity crushes are a big thing but does anyone else have celebrities that you're not attracted to but you're like... god I would love to have that person as a friend or an older sibling or a godparent or whatever... Like I'm not attracted to Paul F. Tompkins but every time I see him I'm like wow I lowkey want him to take me to the zoo and buy me an ice cream cone and a balloon... I wanna chill with Robb Wells on his back porch and hang out with his pet chickens... I wanna go to a karaoke night with Phoebe Bridgers and then get her advice on how to deal with shitty mental health days... I wanna eat nachos and watch hockey with Will Arnett... I want to talk to Jenny Owen Youngs about my feelings on Buffy the Vampire Slayer... idk there's such a culture of being super verbal and weirdly explicit about wanting to fuck celebrities but sometimes you just wanna platonically vibe with people

the barbie movie was obviously brilliant, but the moment that stood out to me the most was that raw pain and anger and grief in america’s voice as she gave her speech on how women are expected to be perfect. the dead silence in the background, the way the shot went from her to her wide-eyed daughter to the tired and increasingly horrified barbies. that moment sticks out to me the most because of how much i am sure america and those other women were not acting, dropping the façades of their roles and tapping into that exhaustion and pain that everyone, especially women, under the patriarchy has. it was raw and beautiful and so so so needed greta gerwig the woman you are

Honestly what the fuck. 

Seriously they got Hilda back from the dead last time so why couldn’t they do it for Sabrina? Not to mention we saw that Sabrina is there when Zelda is on her death bed.

Like, what is the point.

And the implied suicide at the very end. Unacceptable.

And don’t get me started on Mambo Marie. I fucking loved that character. And I loved her with Zelda. Then they basically jump on the ‘bury your gays’ bandwagon. We finally get some bi representation that isn’t made of stereotypes/assumptions or pushed aside and glossed over and then it gets ripped from us.

Zelda lost so much. My poor baby.
