The Door Shall Remain Shut Chapter 2

Summary: Wally introduces Y/N to the group but she seems to already know everyone…

Wally awoke to the sound of students walking the classroom. Loud chatter made him lift up his head to see if Maddie is among the group. But he doesn’t see her. But before he can react with his own feelings, he hears sniffling. Wally looks at the back of the room and see Y/N sitting on a table watching students. He quickly jogs up to her and puts a hand on her shoulder. “Y/N? What’s wrong?”. Y/N wipes her tears before proceeding to answer. She takes a deep shuttering breath. “I forgot what it was like being near people. To hear a living person breathe, to learn something new, to see friendships-“ Y/N replies as another tear flows. “I never thought I’d actually miss it. I used to complain for years on end but in a way, it became a home.” Wally sees a small smile appear on her lips and can’t help but smile himself as he reflects on his friendships with the other ghosts. “Yeah, I know what you mean”. Y/N wipes that last tear off her face and regains her composure. She turns to face Wally and stands up. “Um we should go see the others” “I’ll know where they’d be” He offers her hand and leads her to Mr. Anderson’s classroom and they hear voices talking. “We don’t know if she made it” and “Where tf is Wally?” Y/N and Wally walk in and everyone looks at them. Rhonda looks at Wally, prepared to interrogate them but notices Y/N. “Who are you cherrypop?” Y/N smiles. “I’m Y/N. It’s nice to meet you Rhonda, Charlie, Yuri, and Quinn”. Charlie and Rhonda look at Wally but Wally keeps his focus on Y/N. “I never told you their names” he says shocked. Charlie interjects, “Wally, who is she? Where did she come from? How come we didn’t feel it when she died?” “I died way before all of you. Back in 1956. And I successfully managed to cross over.” Rhonda looks absolutely pissed. “No. No not possible. You’ve gotta be working for Mr Martin. There’s now way you crossed over because you wouldn’t be talking to us right now. “ “I’m not working for anyone I swear”. Y/N looks at Wally. “You believe me don’t you?” Charlie looks back and forth between Rhonda and Wally. “We have to be careful who we trust. Rhonda I think you’re jumping the gun a bit. We did just find out ghosts can refuse to cross over.” Rhonda continues giving Y/N the stink eye. “I’m here to help.” “Prove to me you’re not working with Mr Martin. Prove that you’ve actually moved on”. Y/N looks at Wally who looks back at her. She looks back at the group and tries to think of how to prove it. “Well maybe since I came back, there’d be one of those rooms you guys always talk about. The scabs or whatever.” “Scars.” Rhonda replies back rudely. “You know Y/N might have a point. We went through all the scars already. If she’s right, her scar might’ve have reappeared. We just need to know how she died.” Wally interjects. All the ghosts look at Y/N. Yuri suddenly speaks up. “How did you die?” Y/N freezes. “I wasn’t expecting this question so soon”. Rhonda scoffs. “Would it help if we explained how we died?” Quinn suggests. “I already know how you died. I’ve been watching you which explains how I know your names.” She replies. “Right” Quinn backs off into the background with Yuri. Charlie makes eye contact with Y/N. “So can you tell us about how you died? If you’re comfortable of course” Y/N sighs. “I’ll tell you. It’s 2023 so I should be over my own death by now anyways. But it was my junior year of high school and I arrived later then usual…”

Wally Clark x Fem!Reader

A/N: Spoilers from the season 2 finale!! Read at your own risk. Chapter is a little short but will get better as it goes on!

Wally approaches the football field, hoping to catch a glance of Maddie one last time. A tear rolls down his face as he remembers seeing her in scar in that beautiful costume from homecoming. The vision of her walking up the stairs as he called out to her but only to be pushed away by Rhonda. “She’s not the real one!” She says as she pushes him away. Wally opens his eyes as the flashback ends and he grabs his football and turns toward the end goal. Wally is ready to walk forward but stops in his track when suddenly a door appears. The same one Janet had just seen. He’s been given the chance to cross over it seems. Wally takes a breath and realizes that maybe it’s time to go. He feels content with the past few months and steps forward as the door opens. But before he steps through, a young woman comes through the door. “Wait!” She says. Wally stops in his tracks. “Who are you?” He inspects her. “I’m Y/N. I’m here to help.”  She looks around the field, taking in every inch. Wally stands there confused as ever. “What do you mean you’re here to help? How did you come through that door? Is that not the door to cross over? Who even are you??”  Y/N finally looks at Wally. “All you need to know is that it’s not time for you to go yet. This battle is far from over. “ Y/n begins walking in the direction of the school leaving Wally shocked. “Wait!” He runs up to her and strolls along side her. “Are you dead?” “What do you think?” Y/N smirks as she answers. “I crossed over way before Janet and Mr Martin arrived. Wally stops. “If you crossed over, how do you know of them?” Y/N smiles this time. “It’s simple really. I can see everything from where I am. Well was.” “And where is that?” Y/N turns to face Wally and gestures him to come forward. “All in due time. All in due time.” The sound of a door shutting is heard and Wally turns around to see the door closing. Wally sighs and turns back to Y/N. “What can you tell me then?” He runs up to Y/N. “Where can I sleep?” Y/N suddenly asks. “Anywhere.” He says as if he’s staying the obvious. “I’m only asking because I don’t want to take over someone’s place.” She yawns and Wally chuckles a bit. They walk in the school and go to an abandoned room. Y/N grabs some desks and makes a makeshift bed and proceeds to lay down. “We’ll talk in the morning. With the group” Y/N closes her eyes. Wally lightly chuckles before walking to a window and staring out it. A tear rolls down his cheek as he thinks about  the past few months with Maddie. He glances back toward Y/N, who is already curled up on her makeshift bed. Her presence is almost calming, but there’s something unnerving about her too. She has seen things, things Wally can’t even begin to fathom, and yet she’s so easygoing about it. The way she spoke of her "crossing over" as if it were just another day—Wally can’t help but wonder what that means. Where exactly is she from? What does she know about what comes after? He leans back against the window and closes his eyes.
