I like to imagine that when Charles joined Erik on Genosha, Erik built a new house near a lake. Simply because Charles told him the view was splendid.
A house a bit like this one:
(Iâm in Ireland and Iâm obsessed with the view. I feel like Iâm at Genosha)
This but itâs Erik going on a mission with the Brotherhood and Charles is pissed off at him for leaving that long again
"If I don't reply by tomorrow, then consider me dead." It's been two years since you got that message, and you haven't seen them since. Suddenly, your phone lights up: "Sorry, that took longer than I thought."
listen to me. *holds your face very softly between both of my hand* if you do not think charles should be able to read minds as freely as erik can control metal then fuck you very much. if you think it's ok for erik, or anyone else really, to express their mutation as much as they want but charles shouldn't then seriously eat shit. 'yea but it's so much more different-' ssshhhh. shut up.
Supernatural AU: Erik is hunting down the demon that killed his wife while trying to protect his teen daughter, Nina, who is suddenly developing strange abilities such as talking with animals. An Angel who calls himself Charles has taken a shine to them both. All this is happening while some other pair of hunters are trying to stop the apocalypse or something.
I just saw Marvel Entertainmentâs video on YT titled âAvengers: Doomsday | Now in Productionâ which showed a bunch of the cast member chairs with names.
GUESS WHOSE NAMES WERE ON THERE
CHERIK IS COMING BACK BABYYYYYYY
hello, cherik nation. my dashboard is occasionally devoid of cherik, so I need to follow some new people to help me continue feeding my hyper-fixation. so if you reblog cherik or x-men daily and are active in the cherik/x-men community, please reblog this!
Bitches love reblogging this post every Tuesday the 18th
Okay hear me out :
(Itâs a vague idea that I just had while reading âOld timesâ from Harold Pinter)
Charles and Erik were old friends, they met when they were rlly young (maybe around 10) but Erik moved away when they were in their twenties. They havenât seen in almost 20 years.
Charles is now married (with Moira) but doesnât have any kids.
One day Charles receives a letter. Erik is asking if he can come over to his house for a weekend.
Charles accepts ofc.
Erik isnât married (he was but had a nasty divorce a few years prior)
As soon as he arrives, Charles realizes something was missing to his life all those years.
Erik is flirting openly.
Moira doesnât seem to realize (she doesnât but doesnât say anything bc Charles seems finally happy)
Charles decides to go take a bath.
Moira and Erik talk about Charles. About his twenties. She tells how they met, so does Erik.
She realizes what kind of relationship the two of them had all of those years ago.
They were lovers.
Erik had to leave bc his parents died and he accepted a job offer back in Germany.
[something happens]
At night Moira talks to Charles, tell him that she knows. Charles panics bc homosexuality is still illegal. She reassures him and explain that sheâs happy heâs being his true self. Bc in almost twenty years she hasnât seen that much joy and love in his eyes.
He says that he loves her.
« I know, my love, but you donât look at me the same way you look at him. Your heart has never been mine. It has always been his. »
The next day, Moira decides to go to her sisterâs just to give them time together. She understands. She supports it.
Erik and Charles talk a lot. They play chess. And it feels right.
For the first time in years, Charles feels like a whole.
Erik puts his hand on Charlesâ, locks his eyes in Charlesâ and with a smile, lean over the chess board and kisses him. A gentle and loving kiss.
After all these years, they are reunited. They are together. Where they should have always been.
« I have been dreaming about this day, mein schatz. And it is even better than everything I could have dreamed of. »
Should I write it ??
Can we just take a sec to appreciate Charles and Erikâs dynamic in the dark Sentinel future, especially the Rogue Cut ⊠of course itâs at the end of the world when their relationship is at its absolute healthiest. Theyâve really made it work, and theyâre an old power couple. Theyâre always seen together, each goes where the other goes, joined at the hip. Theyâre totally in sync, working together perfectly, getting everything done. The helmet is nowhere to be found, and Erik lets Charles into his head during the rescue mission with complete and utter trust. Erik has stepped back from his need to lead and control and lets Charles call all the shots, supporting all of Charlesâ ideas. He doesnât even kill the men experimenting on Rogue, even though he has every reason to, because he knows Charles wonât like it. Theyâre both in their 90s and yet they both kick legit Sentinel ass together. Erik works in total harmony with the other X-Men, finally being a true team member. And theyâre finally actually communicating, with Erik spending the timelineâs last moments giving Charles the emotional vulnerability and honesty that he used to fear so much and telling Charles pretty much everything Charles needed to hear - conveying his undying love, his genuine regret for their breakup, and his yearning for them to get a second chance at a life together.
Just because I'm bored and a bottomless pit when it comes to Charles and Erik.
Headcanons!
Starting with Erik.
- he sleeps closest to the door when given the option. Especially in hotel rooms while on their road trip.
- one of the first things he does when entering a room/building is reaches out and feels for all the metal in the room. Then he maps out any possible exits.
- he enjoys a drink, as seen with Charles, but Erik almost never drinks enough to sway him. He has to be in full control of himself. Being drunk means the possibility of making a mistake. So while he enjoys a drink, he often just sips at it to lure those around him into a false sense of comfort.
- in stark opposite of Charles, Erik feels rather comfortable in a cheap motel room. The hard, uncomfortable bed keeps him alert (the whole PTSD scenario where people with PTSD will sleep on the floor because they're afraid of sleeping through danger). He never stays one place for long, so a hotel is perfect for him. The mansion was the first place he began to feel a sense of belonging and comfort in.
- he runs on a rather strict schedule, a creature of habit. He rises early.
- he's very obviously not used to being around people often, especially for anything less than his revenge mission, so he lacks a lot of social etiquette. (This man screams autism to me đ§) If you're not blunt and straight forward with him, he may not understand your intentions.
- goes hand in hand with the above statement - he's rather shameless. Is perfectly content to strip down Infront of someone else. A body is just a body to him and he has nothing to be ashamed about.
- he takes pride in his appearance, he knows he looks good.
- sex isn't something he thinks about often. He's got a perfectly normal sex drive but sex with other people has usually just been for the purpose of his 'job' or a means to an end. Quick tumbles in the sheets or in dark alleyways and then never to see each other again. So, he has plenty of experience, but he tle and slow is not something he knows.
Charles!
- Addictive personality disorder. I think that's likely a fact rather than a headcanon but I'll throw it in anyways. Substance abuse can be genetic.
- A big part of why Charles is so outwardly kind/generous/forgiving is not just his desire to be loved and accepted- but he wants to be better than his family had been. He is a product of his childhood, but not in a bad way. He wants to break that cycle.
- He isn't nearly as naive or arrogant as people take him for. He's been privy to the darkest, most heinous corners of people's minds. He just chooses to remain optimistic rather than let the cruelties of the world tear him down.
- Charles is a slutâą. Very adventurous throughout college. He knows what he wants/likes and he isn't afraid to go after it.
- Before Hank figured out the serum, he genuinely considered ending it all. The humiliation of having no independence/not being able to walk, his heartbreak, his powers, it was all too much. The serum was the only thing that pushed him past those suicidal thoughts.
- A big part of why he lost control over his telepathy after Cuba was because he was in Shaw's head when Erik killed him. He could have simply let go, but, despite not agreeing with Erik's quest for revenge and murder, he wasn't willing to risk Erik getting hurt or missing the opportunity. After that, his fear became overwhelming.
- in DoFP, when Logan asks Hank what happened to Charles, he explains the serum and how he simply takes 'too much'. I could just be misinterpreting the facts of how the serum works- but what are headcanons for? I like to think, if Hank can hide his physical mutation AND still use it, then Charles logically can have both his telepathy and his legs. He simply has an addiction and is too afraid. When it comes time to use his powers again, he knows himself to have addictive personality and to be weak willed. He has to set an example for his students and everyone else too, so he chooses to just eliminate the serum all together. It wasn't worth the risk just to walk.
ya gotta stop caring what people think and start being extremely weird. but never cruel. i think that might save you
âWhatâs your favourite horror movie?â
Oh I donât know, maybe Erikâs eyes when he realised that his decades of trial and error did nothing to help him against Shaw, and he and everyone he loved would die a pointless death at the hands of the man he swore to never let hurt anyone else againâŠ

Last post after rewatching x men apocalypse
I believe the trauma Charles endured in this movie is severely overlooked.
His first encounter with Erik happened through Cerebro, where he witnessed Erikâs desperate memories and the tragedy that befell him. Charles, as always, was ready to offer love and support, but Erikâbroken and consumed by darknessâchose a different path. Given his nature and the betrayals he has faced, his reaction is understandable, though certainly not justified. After all, the very humans he seeks to destroy include his own mother, his wife, and his daughter.
Regardless, instead of turning to a friend, Erik decides to offer a sacrifice on a silver platterâor rather, on Charlesâ metal wheelchairâto Apocalypse. He has no idea what the entity intends to do with Charles, but itâs clear that whatever it is, it will only bring him harm.
As for Erikâs betrayal, it wasnât entirely surprising, but this time, it hit harder because of the circumstances.
Charles wasnât just collateral damage in Erikâs plansâhe was the sacrifice itself. Along with the psychological and physical violation he endured, this made his experience in the film one of the most brutal and impactful, yet it wasnât given nearly as much focus as it deserved.
Yet despite all of this, Charles does not respond with anger or resentment. He still hopes Erik will see the goodness within himself (which he eventually doesâbut only after Charles loses his hair, of course! đ§). But itâs all in vain.
ââFor Charles, even when Erik betrays him, he doesnât view it as outright treachery. Instead, he sees a broken person making destructive choices due to his pain. Thatâs why he never truly gives up on him. However, the problem with this level of understanding is that it makes Charles the biggest victim. Heâs always the one who gets hurt because he refuses to set boundaries.
( in DOFP charles wasnât himself)
Anyway!
Apocalypse attacks Charles in the one way he would hate the mostâby forcing him to use his powers to manipulate others, stripping them of their free will. In mere seconds, we see just how powerful Charles truly is when Apocalypse compels him to disarm the world and send a global message of terror.
Losing control over himself was the worst thing that could happen to someone like Charles, who built his entire philosophy on free will and choice.
he was desperately resisting. And when he is finally rescued, it is Raven who falls into Apocalypseâs grasp.
Acopalyps calls out, Come Charles!
Tears fill his eyesâhe was ready to surrender himself for Raven anyway, saying, He wants me. But the process reveals a terrifying truth: this was never about Charles as an individual. If Apocalypse controls him, he controls the entire world. We can see the tears in his eyes as he realizes this.
And so, Charles is forced to fight again within his own mindâonly to lose.
And then, at long last, Uncle Erik decides to step in. (After Charles had already lost his hair, of course! đ§)
I think people severely underestimate the trauma Charles went through in this filmâthe violation, the misuse of his power, the betrayal by a friend⊠I would mention the loss of his hair, but that seems to be the only part everyone actually cares about.( idont blame them though)
âIt feels like the everyone took Charlesâ trauma for granted because heâs always expected to carry burdens without complaint. This is a recurring issue with leader-type or morally grounded charactersâtheyâre expected to be strong, so their personal struggles are often overlooked .
It is frustration that the film / fanfics explores other charactersâ trauma in depth that why my post was so long! To talk about it đââïžđ€
And thank you.
The first time I watched this film, my attention was mainly focused on Erik and Peter. Itâs strange how much oneâs perspective shifts upon rewatching. (Itâs still interesting, of courseâjust not nearly as much as Charles.)
Despite his intimidating appearance (blue fur, fangs, and all), Hank is a total softie when it comes to you. Heâs always gentle, whether heâs giving you a hug, ruffling your hair, or helping you with a project.
His hugs are legendaryâwarm, furry, and incredibly comforting. You always feel safe when heâs around.
Heâs also the first to notice when somethingâs wrong, even if youâre trying to hide it. âI can tell by the way youâre holding your shoulders,â heâll say. âWhatâs bothering you?â
Hank is the person you turn to when life feels overwhelming. His calm, steady presence is like a lighthouse in a storm.
Heâs not one to sugarcoat things, but he always delivers the truth with kindness. âLife is messy and complicated,â heâll say, âbut youâre stronger than you think.â
Heâs also the first to remind you that itâs okay to not be okay. âEven the strongest materials have their breaking points,â heâll say. âItâs not a weakness to ask for help.â
If you share Hankâs love of science, heâs the ultimate mentor. Heâll spend hours teaching you about genetics, quantum physics, or whatever else youâre interested in.
Heâs patient and encouraging, never making you feel silly for asking questions. âCuriosity is the foundation of discovery,â heâll say with a smile.
If youâre not into science, heâs still happy to share his knowledgeâjust in a way thatâs accessible and fun. âDid you know that octopuses have three hearts?â he might say, trying to make you laugh.
If you have a bad day on the lab, like youâve been working on a project for weeks, and nothing is going right. The experiment keeps failing, your equipment malfunctions, and youâre on the verge of tears. Hank finds you slumped over your desk, surrounded by scattered notes and broken glassware. He quietly sits beside you, his deep voice calm and reassuring. âScience is as much about failure as it is about success. Every mistake is a step closer to discovery.â
Hank offers to help you troubleshoot, and the two of you spend hours working together. His patience and encouragement remind you why you love science in the first place.
Before leaving, he hands you a cup of tea and says, âYouâre brilliant, little sister. Donât let one bad day convince you otherwise.â
New edit in the works! I originally was just gonna take a scene from Dark Phoenix and interlace it with other clips, but then I was like ânah Iâm gonna do a full Erik tribute video.â
I spent over an hour on the first 30 seconds, so here is the first 30 seconds!
Made with CapCut Pro!
Whatâs actually kinda cool is that I got CapCut pro almost one full year ago today so I could make tribute edits like these. Iâm excited to keep trudging along with this edit and Iâm looking forward to working on it more!

do you ever think of that moment where shaw almost had erik, right before erik grabbed the helmet off his head and charles froze him? how scared erik looked? do you ever think of him being scared that shaw would kill him and then all of his friends, what he would do to charles? do you think he killed shaw not only to avenge his mother and himself but to prevent him from hurting charles and the x-men?
it's max time
Chapter 4 of my fic brought you the fish boyfriend, so I thought I'd do a quick little drawing to go with it<3
